  1. Sad how they have fallen since the merger. Absolutely disgusting what has happened with the culture within Boeing. My wife’s great uncle was with Boeing his whole career at BFI; do not get him started about current affairs.
  2. Well an update-- I have now committed the process to muscle memory the last few weeks and I feel like I am a much better person for it. Secondly, the conversation following the solution is AMAZING; glad my ignorance spurred such insight. The topic title should be changed . Personally I have worked stateside with some of the best JTACs the USAF produced but we were not focused on their primary jobs but helping them through their pipeline training on integrating into SOF Teams. Of course as the civilian in the company I stuck to my areas of expertise however I wish I had discovered DCS then I would have had a few specific questions for those guys.
  3. Well this is awesome... I do hope they model the 5.56x45mm ballistics correctly. Having shot a lot from a helo IRL the lead in the video look a little to short but I am EXTREMELY excited for this feature regardless of the accuracy/authenticity.
  4. Happy Holidays to everyone. Here is to a safe and wonderful New Year. I hope you get to enjoy this holiday season with your friends and families. Cheers
  5. Thanks guys. I am flying only in SP but will eventually get into MP so it would be wise for me to practice good habits now then try to unlearn bad habits later.
  6. Silly question/thought: So recently I haven’t been creating multiple JTAC way/steerpoints but rather just create one JTAC labeled Waypoint and I just edit the coordinates. This helps streamline my entry process and declutter the HMCS. I understand irl a pilot would want all the data to help with AAR and debriefs but we do not have such requirements in DCS. I don’t think I’m hampering myself but all the tutorials I’ve watched they all create multiple JTAC waypoint. I am assuming this is just to have a truer real life experience. Cheers
  7. Ubisoft got official complaints from Bolivia for Ghost Recon:Wildlands for depicting Bolivia as a drug riddled country and a corrupt military. Did make for one of the best games I've played in a long time and the generic country they used for the follow up Ghost Recon:Breakpoint just wasn't the same. @_Defi just take the previous advise and use those faction names in your mission briefs. If you are playing single-player and creating your own missions you can utilize @Eight Ball Insurgent Pack for variety. Can be found in User_Files here https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3313068/
  8. Personally I have not been impeded my the vertical FOV in my flying vs the Pimax 8kx; again this is my opinion and experience. The only one complaint i have with the FOV, and it is minor, is that I have my mouse controls bound to my HOTAS and in the A10CII having the cursor centered line of sight I can not look down at my right panel and put the cursor on some of the switches/knobs to use my keybinds. It is a small inconvenience and is the only limitation I have found.
  9. So my two cents on FOV with only my experience with Pimax 8kx and Aero. I used the 8kx for a year replacing it with the Aero and the difference in FOV did not concern me given so many of the other benefits the Aero brings; plus I haven’t really noticed any difference. I have had zero technical issues so far with the Aero, took delivery in April. The Pimax was a constant battle to get it operating. The Aero just absolutely works for me, also with one center mounted base station, and I couldn’t have been more happy with my purchase; except the price started dropping via sales the day I received mine Cheers
  10. Agree 100%.. RIP Don
  11. 100% agree. I came from the Pimax 8kx and the FOV was its only positive for me. I am still so pleased with moving into the Aero
  12. Again as @Slick Twitchy said THANK YOU.. early in October Don was asking about Aero headset recommendations complaining only of his “ear wax” build up and what would be a good upgrade when he went got his ear cleaned. The brief suggestions and interactions with Don on this subject not only proved he was a scholar but also a gentlemen.. everything we could all strive to be. I would be letting Don down if I didn’t share his and mine comfort in knowing our Lord Jesus’s promises in eternal life. If you followed Don thread in “Chit-Chat” of “My Current Situation” please do. Very powerful in his amazing peace about his situation and eternal position flying formation in God’s Air Force. RIP @dburne ;I know I will see you in a better place Brother
  13. Awesome story.. wouldn’t be surprised to see the Grim Reapers try to simulate at some point in DCS
  14. Looks very very interesting and useful. I fly mostly in VR and need several different configurations for left, center and right panels and could see your product as a useful solution. I will be filling out your survey shortly
  15. …. Here to you @dburne
  16. I second this… AWESOME @javelina1
  17. @dburne my prayers for you Brother and your family. We are encouraged by the promises we live by that our Lord sees us through these trying time on this Earth. We know what lies above the blue gorgeous skies above and the comfort that it brings in these times. Though our interactions have been brief through this amazing community of friends and believers within DCS we have been blessed by your friendship and knowledge. Bravo Zulu on a life well lived.
