I saw a video yesterday about a Florida based company that is starting to build modern PBY-5 Catalina.. they might have usable computer renderings and flight models for DCS

Nope and I doubt they would.. in my own small business we keep strategies very closely held. I am purely speculating and presenting “what I would do”. As a very distant observer I am just speculating upon the moves I would make if I was in ED positions based upon their previous actions which may lead up to the switch to Vulcan.

Yes.. logically if I was in ED management I would focus more resources into implementing Vulcan than some “lower” priority bugs which would be hopefully addressed and resolved with Vulcan. Of course Vulcan will bring its own set of issues and problems but I for one will welcome those with hopefully the performance gains and benefits. At least ED is trying to move forward unlike say RockStar Games and their announcement yesterday of not remastering but rather porting the original Red Dead Redemption to PS4/Switch

Found this morning on random meme page.. not my content. Between remodel/refit of my house and summer travel (with some holiday time enjoying adult beverages) I have had zero time in the “cockpit” and little motivations/inspiration for memes. Looking forward to fall and winter months. Cheers all

My opinion is I think it’s going to take ED a lot of dedicated effort to catch up with the future generation of VR headsets. I will not go on about my issues with Pimax 8kx but having it for a year and then switching to the Aero is night and day different. With that said I feel that I will enjoys years of DCS VR with the Aero and either continued firmware updates or mbbucchia wonderful tools all of this will outpace ED’s VR performance.

It was recommended to me to have Anisotropic Filtering to 4x… I have no idea what it does but was recommended by veteran VR flyers here. Also can you share a screenshot of your VR setting in DCS.. not just your general?

@Xthedarkknight99x are you running OpenBeta MT? I had similar issues prior to MT release.

Same here and I have scoured the forums looking for an answer from ED with no luck. I am having the same speed issues between my PC when I switched systems and did a fresh reload and now on my laptop; installing so I can use ME on the road. I figured it was just my home ISP even after plugging in EtherNet cable to the PC but now with my new laptop and sitting at work, which has extremely fast service, I am currently only at 1.9 MB/s . YES I did check Window Auto-tuning Level and it is normal. In fact I disabled and reinstated it, after restarts, and no faster.

@jyge welcome to the Aero clan. For audio/headphones I went with the Nova 7+ and directly plug them into the audio jack that is on the left hand side. The audio is perfect and I love having the volume control on the headset themselves; easy to find while in VR. I reserve the Bluetooth capability to pair with my phone so when the wife calls when flying I don’t miss it. I know I’m not really answering your questions but if you stay with the simplest solution, plugging whatever headphones into Aero audio jack, I think you will have the best and easiest results. 100% Spot On… @Surfingnet also while on a 3080 play with civilian traffic off or low. Before MT and upgrading to 4090 I know the civilian traffic would kill my frame rate. Even if you are in MT I would start with Traffic off and work up from there.

Thanks… I found the problem maybe a little bug. I was in ME and starting the mission from there and that when it wouldn’t work for me. Works perfectly from main menu. Again Great Mod. I love spending time flying it.

So I’ve been looking for power switch for my Aero. I know others have suggested smart home plugs which I’m sure works great given the valued members that suggested it but I was working something to fit within my hybrid sim pit. I just found this a few days ago and was very impressed. Sketch out new button boxes ideas, watch videos about Mission Editors tricks, forget why I was watching said videos about Mission Editor, make DCS memes, chase down sub-par shipping companies that don’t deliver my whiskey and leave it on the side of the road 4 miles away (true story got to love text notifications) and then and just then the mission loads

@TAT0R am I missing something on MK4 pod to get it to work? I tried every combination I can think of to fire but alas I can’t. Didn’t see any help in the manual either. BTW I love this Mod and been flying it since you released it. I did update to latest versions as well. Thanks

Must have been something with ED’s products. I wouldn’t be surprised if tied directly to viewership numbers and traffic in YT (completely my own speculation). Having worked with YT channels and content creators for a decade+ there is so much data and analytics gained by viewership numbers that is critical to companies. Could have been as simple as GR and Cap not wanting to give ED viewership data which from personal experience is a very serious conversation. Looking at GR’s videos in the past year they did do a couple third-party/mod “tutorial” and now returning to that dedicated space with the F15E but it is still a third-party module. Guess will have to wait and see the drama once ED releases their own module again.

I kind of like GR “what ifs” videos. I am a history buff and enjoy alternative history theories; I loved ”Man in the high castle” for a reference. In regards to their tutorials I agree they are good laymen references which I re-watch a lot as reminder for picking up a trick or two. For some reason last year it seemed they mentioned or inferred they were asked to stop the tutorials videos by ED. I could be remembering wrong or Mandela effect but I’ll comb back through and see if I can find what I am thinking of. edit/addition: I was not going crazy it was when the Ah-64 was released Cap mentioned not doing his tutorials
