  1. And dont forget, a fix so the artillery doesnt bring the performance to a staggering 10 fps!
  2. The only catch, you need a 4090...
  3. should they release the full sdk, Id create small dimensions maps with a lot more terrain details, perfect for helicopters. Id start with the Fulda gap.
  4. Such a shame that the native pico software is so <profanity>. They failed by not providing a DP port and failed again by not making at least their wireless link usable.

  6. Nah, we need the F-15C way before the superhonet. Hornet is already there since ages and the F-15E is a third party project.
  7. Thats why a 3090 or 4090 are considered overkill for gaming. They were actually entreprise cards with added dp ports but sold to gamers for greed. My 3080 along with my 5800x3d give me quite a good balance btween cpu gpu. but of course, im still playing my cv1 with an uplift of 1.5 ss.
  8. Tbh I dont think that the problem lies in the graphics thread but the fact before, when that and logical where the same, heavy missions would clog the core altogher, limiting both graphics and logical performance. Making the graphics thread independent, means that it wont be affected by the simulation. The graphics calculation itself doesnt need much in terms of cpu anyways, since the heavy lifting is done by the gpu. At the same time, the logical can be further split as needed once testing reveals new necessities. And by spliting the graphics thread, also means that its a step further into making the architecture ready for the new api = vulkan.
  9. Have you tried increasing the size of the mask to 1 or disabling it directly from the config file?
  10. Perhaps msaa mask size?
  11. If you're gonna leave it on the floor, I highly recommend some add-on case and fan dust filters and make very sure that you have positive pressure in the case, that is, more airflow in than out. I currently live in a very dry and dusty part of the world and man, despite my best efforts, my pc is a dust vacuum case. I tried gaining some desk real state a while back and placed the case on the floor and it turned out to be a bad mistake. The fan blades themselves started to collect so much dust that it eventually solidified into a "concrete", impossible to remove by just blowing air on them. It means it's an aircooled system, not a watercooled. That usually mean that the case is built with big front and top open grilled panels that allow for great air flow to pass through.
  12. Not in the tomcat. You don't center on the HUD in the tomcat, you scan your instruments, thus, zooming in is unpractical.
  13. I think you can use OTT to force disable Oculus Services. Never tried so can't say for sure.
  14. Regardless of what chip you buy, you should definitely start thinking about upgrading those RAM first! xD
  15. If you can sell that 5600X, go for it. I never seen it so cheap...386€ for one of the best gaming chips is a bargain.
  16. Nothing that good ventilation doesn't solve. And winter. It's not overclockable anyways. With 6 fans plus a U-14S, my PC sounds like a cisco 3650 booting up, but the 5800x3d never goes past sixty-somethings.
  17. I know it varies from plane to plane, but how far away from the desk you need to be in general? I have my HOTAS on monstertech desk supports, is that enough? One last question: Regarding the laser pointer, does it works similarly to the Oculus controllers? I love the oculus controllers TBH, but they are unusable when you also have to hold the HOTAS at the same time.
  18. I have. Its no miracle but I can now run at 90 fps smooth at 1.5 ipd with a Oculus CV1 in the Tomcat and a 3080. Apache also runs a lot smoother but I dont have the figures, since i havent got much time to play lately. As a working platform, its far from the best, but still an upgrade with its 2 extras cores coming from a r5 3600. Means I can run 4 extra VMs and a bunch more microservices.
  19. JAS 39 C/D oh yeah!
  20. Are those prices including or excluding VAT?
  21. I agree. Even if the module is ready already, there is never enough time for testing. I'm optimistic for an early 2023 release.
  22. Yes! +1
