With the new AM5 requirement for a new motherboard, and AM5 motherboards going for no less than 800€ currently, they would risk loosing market to Intel.
If AM5 prices were more reasonable, yes, but AMD has become Intel now.
not really... somewhere above the software devs, there is a manager who is responsible for prioritizing resources according to the company strategy. A bit of pressure from the consumer can always help influence a few decision here and there.
I am a current AMD user. If I was to choose a new system and required a new motherboard and RAM, I would get an Intel Raptor Lake, something on the line of a 13700KF or 13600KF. What AMD does well currently is marketing.
