  1. An A-4M would make me so happy.
  2. Not really relevant to this discussion.
  3. Gonna have to coordinate sorties. Ive been thinking about that a bit, should make for an interesting flight. The opening chapter of "War For the Hell of it" describes just that. Flight lead drops flares on a known river crossing, and his -2 follows several seconds behind and deletes anything the flare illuminates.
  4. Now we just need HB's Phantom to drop to see if it happens with an official module.
  5. I think the answer to your question is Yes, the USN/USMC and future 3rd Phantom variant will be a separate module to purchase.
  6. I didnt know they had Garmins in Vietnam?
  7. Instructions too complex, I will require a video to understand those words you are typing.
  8. We speculated like crazy when the last screenshot had the number 28 on it. What does 198 mean this time? Any guesses? 198 hours to release? 198 days? Could the 1 bomb 1 fuel tank have a hidden meaning?
  9. IDK about that, if they fix it the realism fanbois will come out of the woodwork for a bit. They would probably see a lot more sales if they had more -21 variants.
  10. In walk-around mode will I be able to lick the battery electrodes to make sure they are good?
  11. Im onboard for an RF-4C. It would give me a mission that a solo phantom can excel at. Or an RF-101, because that would probably also mean i get an F-101.
  12. With the Gun on the front, the CG is too far forward, and would require a gear jack to be added as well.
  13. Best practice is to get very good at math inside of 360. +/-180 and +/-90 really quickly are necessary skills for landing at the boat. You have your backup compass ball above and to the right that is useful to a point, but isnt as accurate as your other instruments (ADI/HSI). Being able to read your HSI quickly and set it up with a proper offset takes a bit of practice but once you have it down, youll find yourself rolling out with only a 2-3 degree error which is much easier to correct than rolling out with a 20-30 degree error.
  14. All of the Phantom Models I've made over the years have had the "Fuze Extender" on the front of the bombs as an option, I think it would be pretty cool if those were added to the sim in some way.
  15. Probs when we get a Navy Phantom. As those 2 are close enough to their USN/USMC counterparts.
  16. I think the 28 means its coming in 2028
  17. Maybe, Im 10075 and I was about 5 hours after the trailer dropped.
  18. Id think the "universal" seekerhead would be the first thing we got, and as we progressed if there was interest we might see earlier seeker heads.
  19. I dont think we know at this time, but i would hope it would be the AGM-45A/B-10A with the MK-50 MOD 0 seeker head which was a Broad E to I with Angle Gating which should serve as a universal for the most part.
  20. A good interim is to make use of the knee-boards, it takes a bit more effort on your end, but you can convert the pages to .pngs and throw them in the folder and cycle through them
  21. I would gladly fly some C-130 resupply missions in idle time if it meant I could carry more/better ordinance with a better maintained jet.
  22. Agreed. The only part id be unhappy with is if it happened on the one night i get to play DCS.
  23. That kind of realism would keep the campaigns interesting past the first month, when all the red air is toast, and most of the SAM sites are missing radars. But I would be extremely frustrated if the 2 times i get to log in per week to do my flight and my jet is INOP for the mission. Unfortunately real life takes precedence over DCS.
  24. I mean, that's a challenge for campaign makers to figure out, and verges on the "too realistic" for a sim. I do understand your point. I would imagine that during an online campaign all jets are being flown regularly so they would all degrade at varying rates and it would start to become more of a chore to inform the next guy that you have a sticky rudder vs just flying your assigned jet. Starts to remind me of the "Phantom Leader" board game, but with airframe degradation instead of pilot degradation.
  25. I hope we get a bit more of that dynamic with the Naval Variant, I still cant decide if I'd rather have a B/N or J/S. I would argue that the -E is a good middle point in a transition from an F-18 to an early F-4B. Dynamic campaigns would be awesome with the slow degradation of your jet, and potential issues with ordinance.
