  2. Where did you get your information from? :doh: Only A-8/A-9 had an auxilary tank. FW190 Antons never used MW50!!! The first increase of power output was extra injection of C3 fuel together with a higher boost. This was allowed only up to 1000 meters and only for jabos. That was in summer 1943. By july 1944, it was adopted for fighters, but without the extra fuel injection, only higher boost. It could be used for the Bodenlader and the Höhenlader. Increase in speed was approx. 20-30kmh. Machines with "Erhöhte Notleistung" had a yellow circle on the MG131 cover. MW50 and BMW801, forget that! It was tested, but was never used in a combat unit.   3. Isegrim is right. On Daimler Benz and BMW engines, the pilot controls the manifold pressure direct by the power lever. You know 1,35ata is Kampfleistung, you move the lever forward and watch the manifold pressure indicator. The pilot didn't control the rpm directly. Every maifold pressure value had it's own rpm value. Daimler Benz 601 or 605 -1,42ata with 2700rpm = Startleistung/Notleistung -1,35ata with 2400rpm = Steigleistung/Kampfleistung On Jumo 213 engines, it's another story. The pilot doesn't care about manifold pressure. He choose only the rpm setting and has to watch the fuel consumption. The manifold pressure was only for monitoring purposes. That's what i meant. I hope it helps.

The "Bediengerät" takes care of the rest, setting all other parameters to allow the engine to properly operate at the desired manifold pressure, given the current flight conditions." That's not right. The Jumo 213 engines were flown by rpm. The manifold pressure was irrelevant, only for monitoring reasons. In the manual of the Jumo 213, doesn't matter which version, it says, the engine is flown by rpm! That's the reason why all power outputs are given with "rpm" and not with "ata". 3250rpm = Start- und Notleistung 3000rpm = Steig- und Kampfleistung 2700rpm = Dauerleistung and so on...   5. mw50 could only be used when the lever was moved to startleistung (max power setting). the only cooling effect was over 6000m, where mw50 had no more effect on power output.
  6. Got a german document: There you can read, that MW50 was limited to 10 minutes. "L.Dv.T.2109G-14/Fl MW-Anlage-Karte" But it's for the Bf109G-14 with DB605AM/ASM engine. Don't know if this was common for all engines with MW50.   7. +1 We need an overview for engine operating limits. Something like in the P51 manual. For example: Sondernotleistung = MW50 (1.8ata and 3250rpm) for 10 Minutes at a time...
  8. MW50 was used from start, up to the critical height (Volldruckhöhe) of the engine. The Jumo had a critical height of approx. 5500m - 6000m. Beyond that, there was no or little effect, i think.
  9. The G-10 was the fastest G series plane. The K-4 was the fastest Bf109!

  11. I want to add, the Dora 9 had a JUMO 213A engine. So, no Kommandogerät (only BMW801 engines)! JUMO engines used something similar: "Motorbediengetriebe - MBG". It's one lever operation too, and the pilot could disable the automatic propeller pitch control at any time. (btw: it was forbidden to deactivate using MW50!)
  12. What? Which myth? From late E-4 until K-4 all Messers had automatic control of propeller pitch and r.p.m., which could be disabled by the pilot. " The airscrew has now been fitted with a constant speed unit of novel design. The r.p.m. at which the airscrew is controlled depends on the position of the throttle lever.With the throttle lever fully forward the unit is set to control at 2,600 r.p.m. When the throttle lever is moved back the r.p.m.automatically fall an appropriate amount. The constant speed unit can be cut out by the pilot and the airscrew pitch controlled in the same way as on the Me 109E" R.A.E. report on F-2 "The constant speed airscrew is fully automatic and requires no operation by the pilot, as r.p.m. and pitch setting are governed by the throttle opening and engine load. This is a great advantage in combat, being one thing less for the pilot to worry about. He can, however, control the pitch manually in the event of failure of the automatic control."

  17. Hi Niko, i have the same pledge option. We get the FW-190 when DCS release it early 2014 (beta access). In sept. 2014 we get all available aircraft, when DCS WWII is released. My question is, do we have Beta access to DCS WWII? regards Kane
  18. Hast du aktuelle Treiber installiert oder hast du irgendwas an deinem System verändert? Auslastung des Systems beim Spielen wäre noch ein Anhaltspunkt.

  21. So, nochmal geschaut. Greif zu. :thumbup: Mit dem RAM, wie gesagt, ist egal. Wenn du nur spielst, reichen 8GB völlig. Ich kenne keine Spielandwendung, die mehr braucht, Video- oder Bildbearbeitung ist was anderes. MfG Kane
  22. Hi Atelophobia, der Rechner macht keinen schlechten Eindruck. Aktuelle Hardware, die bei genannten Spielen keine Probleme machen sollte. Was du letztendlich an FPS haben wirst, wird dir keiner garantieren können. Arbeitsspeicher: Mach dir keine Sorgen, bei Spielen völlig ausreichend. Das Mainboard bietet 4 x DDR3 an, erweitern ist also möglich. Windows 8: Damit habe ich keine Erfahrung was Spiele betrifft, da ich selbst nur Win7 64bit nutze. Vielleicht können dir ja andere User berichten, ob es Probleme bei bestimmten Spielen gibt. Das einzige was mich stört, keine genauen Angaben zu den einzelnen Komponenten. Gerade bei der SSD/HDD wäre es schön zu wissen, welche Hersteller es sind. Das gleiche trifft auch auf die Grafikkarte und das Mainboard zu. MfG Kane
