  1. I find all three planes easy to handle on take off and landing now. It needed a lot of training and crashes. :D Don't give up, there are a lot of good videos/tutorials out there.
  2. P-47 und Me262 :D
  3. Hi Sgt_Fresh, nobody kicks your ass, but why open a new thread every time, we just could have stayed in the other thread. The gunsight isn't adjustable, you can only dim the brightness, that's all. For training purposes: Build a mission, where friendly units fly in front of you. Try to hit them from different positions, go on with hostile planes without ammo. So they will try to flee from you. With enough training, you will get a feeling for deflection shooting, even without tracers. I don't know, if MK108 ammo had tracers in real life, in DCS we have none.
  4. You must be kidding, right?
  5. Hi Kodoss, thank you for your information. That's the problem with the 500kg bomb. You have to choose a Fuse mode... (Master arm doesn't matter) Only then it can be dropped and that can't be right.
  6. Hi guys, to sum it up: red is for front tank - 15min flightime (ca. 80 liters left) white is for rear tank - Umschaltwarnung/switch over warning (ca. 10 liters left) Normally, the rear tank is emptied first, so the white light comes first -> after that, switch over to front tank. The red light means: RTB. The FW190A-8 had the same fuel warning lights (red and white). In the Bf109, the fuel warning light is red, too.
  7. Hi Elmo, i did a repair of my DCS installation, but nothing has changed. As stated earlier, the drop tank and 4x50kg bombs are no problem (master arm off). 500kg bomb I found out something new, you have to select only a fuze mode and the bomb drops by pulling the handle. The master arm switch doesn't matter. Can someone confirm/test this?
  8. Hi Elmo, yeah i know, but this is a sim, so all systems should be modeled as correct as possible. ;)
  9. I flipped through the DCS manual and it's confusing... The chart postet above states: 1,35 ata = climb and combat power (1,45 ata not attainable with MW50) On page 111 it says: climb and combat power = 1,45 ata / 2600 rpm and on page 131 again: climb and combat power = 1,35 ata / 2600 rpm Nice... :D
  10. Thanks iFoxRomeo, thats the manual page which i meant. Ok, so we have the late DB605DB, with higher time ratings?
  11. Hi Derbysieger, in the manual, there was a table, where exactly this was explained (no 1,42ata). I think it was a performance chart of the engine. Don't have the manual in front of me. When i come home today, i will take a look into it.
  12. 1,35 ata is climb/combat power 1,8 ata is special emergency power (only with MW50) When MW50 is installed, 1,42 ata isn't used.
  13. I think i found a bug. If you choose a drop tank or the 4x50kg bombs, the handle works as expected. Pull the handle and both will be dropped, even without master arm on. If you have loaded the single 500kg bomb, then you have to switch the master arm to on and you have to choose a fuze mode, as discribed above. If you don't set a fuze mode and pull the handle, the red light of the bomb goes out, indicating, that theres no bomb... But surprise, it's still there. Description of the DCS manual page 66: "Pull the necessary handle to jettison any load attached to the fuselage or wing, such as drop tank or bombs." Conclusion: Handle works with drop tank and 4x50kg bomb. Handle doesn't work with: 500kg bomb. (Only if you switch master arm to on and choose a fuze mode.) By the way, why isn't there a FW190 bug forum?
  14. Hi Elmo, master arm switch ok, but a fuzing mode must be selected to drop the bomb... Either wagerecht mit OV/MV or sturz mit OV/MV.
  15. Ok i understand, thank you Yo-Yo.
  16. Hi 3mta3, i tested it myself and you are right. If you have a drop tank installed, the handle works as expected. Pull and the tank drops (without master arm on etc.), but with bombs it's another story, as you described. I think its modeled wrong. Both should be dropped by pulling the handle.
  17. Thanks Yo-Yo for your fast answer, but why are there 0,4 - 0,6 indicator strips? Doesn't make sense to me.
  18. I don't know if this has been reported, can't find a bug forum... The MW50 needle indicates more pressure than normal. Normal: 0.4 – 0.6 kg/cm2 In game the needle jumps to 0,75 kg/cm2.
  19. The lights are wrong, from original manual of the FW190D-9: The white light means "Umschaltwarnung", there are only 10 liters left in the rear tank -> rear fuel pump off and fuel lever to rear tank closed position. The red light means, there are 80 liters left in the forward tank (ca. 15min of flighttime left). If the red light comes first, close forward tank and shut off the forward fuel pump. Empty the rear tank until the white light appears. Forward fuel pump on and fuel lever to rear tank closed position/shut off rear fuel pump. 15min flightime left.
  21. Hello community and developers, in the Bf109 we need to pull the prime pump at least 12 times to have the necessary fuel pressure to start the engine. Why is this not necessary in the FW190? As soon as i open the fuel selector lever, the fuel pressure rises to the normal level, so the prime pump is useless... Will this be modelled in the future? Thanks for your answers.
  22. 40 min without damage? There is definitely something wrong. Using "Sondernotleistung" (1,8ata) without MW50 was forbidden.
  23. Nice thread, and here's my question... :D But what's with the K-4, when we can choose between additional fuel instead of MW50 (maybe in the future). The engine should be restricted to provide only 1,42ata as Start- und Notleistung. The high boost pressure (1,8ata) was only in cooperation with MW50 or did i miss something? Kane
  24. Wenn ich mich nicht irre, durfte bei MW50 Betrieb nur mit automatischer Blattverstellung geflogen werden.
