  1. But isn't it a bug then? I mean, the canopy should be visible after the repair.
  2. Hi guys, i did further testing... What i did: Take off as normal. Landing after 5 minutes of flight and low engine stress. Engine out. Engine on. Engine out. Now it's over, I can't start the engine anymore. Repair isn't possible either, because no damage, so I jettisoned my canopy. The repair is done after 180 seconds. The start of the engine is possbile again. But i recognized 2 "bugs". First one: After the repair, the canopy is there again, but only in the third person view! In cockpit view, there's no canopy! Second one: I pressed the fuel handle as usual, but nothing happened to the fuel pressure, it was below the normal pressure value. So i expected the engine not to start, but surprise, it startet. The fuel pressure stood at the low value, but after i increased the power, the fuel pressure rised. Can someone confirm this behavior?
  3. Why do you fly with manual prop, if i may ask? For fun? I nearly fly automatic in all situations. Sometimes i choose manual control for landing or take off, but it's not necessary.
  4. Hi Maverick, I watched your video, now i understand what you mean. I could start the K-4 twice, but afterwards, i had the same effect. I don't know, if this is a bug or works as intended... Maybe Yo-Yo can answer your question.
  5. Hi Maverick Su-35S, I assume, the fuel pressure isn't enough to start the engine again. Could you please check the fuel pressure gauge (the half yellow/brown gauge) over the rpm indicator? If that's the case, please use the fuel prime handle, by pressing it ca. 12 times. For further investigation, provide us a video.
  6. 1. The A-3 could reach 660km/h at 6000m (Notleistung). But they had to reduce the power output until mid 42, because of engine problems. I think the 615 km/h are Kampfleistung, but even then it's very low. 2. I don't know where they get that speed from. 710km/h in 11.000 meters? Never, with GM1 injection maybe, or another Dora version. The ETC is the "Bombenschloss" (bomb rack).
  7. Yeah, it's the same case for the A-10C. You have to push a button, to bring the throttle lever into idle position.
  8. Hi peker, yes, at first you have to push a button, regardless of a throttle. Sorry with the POS1 button, it's on german keyboards. POS1 = Home button on english keyboards (if I'm not wrong.)
  9. Hi peker, if you start a cold start mission, you have to set the throttle in the idle position first, then the throttle should move as expected. Press: RALT + Pos1 (default setting)
  10. Ah, nope... :D I'm waiting for P-47 and Me262.
  11. Ah ok, i understand. The FW190 is my favorite bird, too. BTW, the P-47 is the one and only bird, which interests me from the allied side...
  12. JST is correct. MW50 is injected only with full power setting (3250 rpm), if MW50 switches are on. Use it to get away or a power climb. You can use it at least 10 min, but watch your water and oil temperatures!
  13. There is a good book about german engines, but it is in german. :D Jumo 213 A - two-speed one-stage supercharger - critical height: 5800m Jumo 213 E/F - three-speed two-stage supercharger - critical height: 9600m The A version was used by the Dora 9. The E/F versions were used by D-11/D-13 and Ta152H-0/1.
  14. What Solty said. I think there is "lots of" work to do in the P-47. As i can see, you have 3 levers to work with: rpm, boost and turbocharger. So, i don't understand your comment fastfreddie. The german planes are very easy to handle in flight and combat. One lever and all subsystems are automatic.
  15. Nice Video, really enjoyed it. Where's the next one? :P
  16. Why obsessed? In the Normandy timeframe, numbers of Panzer IV and Panthers were almost equal. Panzer IV: 758 Panther: 655 StuG: 158 So, it was more common to meet a Panther, than a StuG.
  17. Unter: Start - Alle Programme - DCS World Da gibt es einen Punkt: DCS World reparieren.
  19. I find all three planes easy to handle on take off and landing now. It needed a lot of training and crashes. :D Don't give up, there are a lot of good videos/tutorials out there.
  20. Hi Sgt_Fresh, nobody kicks your ass, but why open a new thread every time, we just could have stayed in the other thread. The gunsight isn't adjustable, you can only dim the brightness, that's all. For training purposes: Build a mission, where friendly units fly in front of you. Try to hit them from different positions, go on with hostile planes without ammo. So they will try to flee from you. With enough training, you will get a feeling for deflection shooting, even without tracers. I don't know, if MK108 ammo had tracers in real life, in DCS we have none.
