  1. What’s the score then? Has everyone legged it? I have both, I flew the Gaz for a bit only last night, nipping about, it flew ok as far as I could see. Didn’t arm it with anything, just tore it about for a while. These 3rd party deals ain’t much of a party are they.
  2. Cheers for posting here Brian . I don’t use any discords so was none the wiser. Good news on the AI version, well done. I didn’t wanna be poking anyone for a rush on, just keen, enthusiastic and curious ya know. When she’s ready she’s ready . Will be great to see her in our skies and to fly with. Look forward to it
  3. Cheers Silver, I do have 64gb ram cheers. I’m resigned to the fact that DCS is just always gonna crash a few times on me every session. I’ve been mostly flying MP and I’m not alone, most just accept it’s gonna crash. It’s a shame something so good when up and running is so unstable. I rarely have any trouble with any other software on my system, not that much else gets a look in anyway now. cheers for the helpful pointers . - oh and the OH-6, while there may be some issues, is one of the most well put together modules in DCS, albeit a Mod. Tobi & Eightball deserve all the tea & medals for giving us a massive bundle of goodies along with a chopper that’s one of the most fun things to fly on the platform. It has caused issues in the past so if things start to go wonky I disable my mods, as we should, but I’d never be rid of it. What would I do with all these Hawaiian shirts & loafers ?
  4. We could do with some Turbulents, water balloons, flour bombs and gates to fly/limbo under too . eta: The smell of fried onions. Mustn’t forget that.
  5. In the last picture overlooking the Merlin we see someone has his head in the cockpit, eyes down. I’m taking that to be Sq Ldr Scoobiedoobs, BriantheBrain, Loki or someone on the team and that they’re busy tinkering and humming happily away to themselves while they work. Holding on to ‘no news is good news’ is sketchy but it’s what I’m going with for now. Trust everyone and everything’s all good. Best regards .
  6. I bought it on release chuffed to have another vintage prop. I agree with those disappointed with the sounds. I’ve heard em startup as well as fly and they’re far more meaty and grunty. It flies ok, like a Jug-lite maybe? It needs work on ground handling too for me. I haven’t flown it much lately and I spend most of my flying time in the old birds and swap around, I just haven’t fancied the Corsair as much as I’d have liked to. Definitely worth having though, carrier landings n all . I wouldn’t give it back.
  7. Would be great if we could. A while back I had ideas about this, after looking into it a bit I backed off with my tail between my legs. I flew drones around old airfield buildings, control towers, mess buildings, AA towers. I circled everything taking a ton of shots thinking I could transfer it all using photogrammetry and build 3D models. I’d need to take out a mortgage for 3DSMax and fell at the first hurdle. Don’t think Blender would do? I was gonna ask the experts but ah well. Turns out we couldn’t use em anyhow.
  8. Great stuff, thanks. Wish you’d venture North of London as well someday. Only up to the Shetlands or so . Cheers for the new bits here, looks like N2 will be busy
  9. - Black Labrador - Flask - Cheese & Pickle sandwiches - Autopilot (I think some people really want it), I’m fine without but I really want Target Indicators, Flare gun, coloured smokes and my wipers working. Just don’t touch the bleedin tailwheel again
  10. You got some shapes Seabat Looking good Eightball

Ah, I was wrong about something, the missus will be pleased . Shame about the wind on Sunday, some good as there was enough space to mooch around in, relaxed a bit. That fighter balbo’s getting better every year I think? Ain’t we lucky . Mrs Slippa got a bit choked for a bit there, it does get ya. I know what you mean about the line-up, what to shoot? Spoilt for choice. Years ago I’d have my eye glued to a viewfinder filming the lot but too much of that and you miss just experiencing it all. I do a lot more mooching about and chatting now. I only got a few shots of the balbo this time as Mrs Slippa wandered off with my long lens and I got busy chatting with the fella about the workshop. We’d walked down from the West by the Rapide flights, watched the ground rehearsal for a bit before they went up.

I think we saw you on Sunday Q? Mrs Slippa asked about the lens you had on. She came back and told me what it was and I told her I reckon that was Qcumber , may not have been? Did you see this fella? He was playing the themetune to Kellys Heroes from it rolling around at mobility scooter speeds, cracked me up. Even had an articulating turret and barrel Oh, while the fighter balbo flew overhead one of the Blenheim fellas came and had a chat with me. Apparently the little ‘old workshop’ I was on about before is still open but will close this year. He asked me if I was coming in October he’d show us a few bits so if you wanna cop a look around do so before the season finale

Thought you’d be there Q, cracking shot too First time I’ve seen an Anson fly as well. The only airworthy example . A lot of my shots were the worst I’ve ever taken. I tried out an extender for the 1-400 but somehow I kept buggering it all up. Great show though. Nightmare getting out of there. Instead of going home we stayed in a gorgeous 15th Century Hotel, gorgeous meal, beautiful place
  15. Indeed. It is
  16. At first sight of this the pedantry made me chuckle . Being a lifelong sazzy bassa and an English pedant myself I have to point out the ‘Eagle Dynamic’s Map’ should have no apostrophe at all. Written as it is would mean ‘Eagle Dynamic is Map’ which just isn’t right .
  17. Four? Where’d that go so fast? Should be ‘Mid-Access’ by now then? Happy Annie I s’pose
  18. Yeah, maybe I went a bit overboard having that Eagle tattoed on my forehead. Kind offer OP .
  19. I’d still like some flares for our wooden wonder. Not bell-bottomed jobbies from the 70s but Target Indicators. The wipers have never been connected either. The animation’s working and can be seen and used in the model viewer but since she rolled out of the shed, we’re wiperless wonders. Come on team, give her some love, please .

    Ooh, lovely Splitty
  21. I was listening to something the other day and learnt that on the flight Dimbleby flew and reported on, his Pilot was Gibbo. I’ll have to read Enemy Coast Ahead again for a refresher. He should never have been asked to even begin forming 617 when he was asked to. He’d done more than enough already and was pretty battered. Amazing what some of those fellas went through. Looking through the thread a bit, just reposting this one (with gunners ). Best regards team
  22. I’ve had exactly the same thing happening to me. I’ve had to shut down the computer to get out of it. Don't have a clue about pagefile sizes or how and what to mess with. I’ll keep an eye on it, good luck Razor
  23. I mean there is not enough time in the day to fly em all . I’ve got plenty of ‘time’ on type now though. Those that I fly frequently. If I don’t mess about and rush in I can bring most of em in nice and smoothly now (he says, oof) Feel sorry for my Jets really, prolly the most neglected of all modules and OH, I just remembered, how could I not mention it? THE OH! OH-6A, THE LOACH!, I fly the Loach and the Loach flies me . The most fun to be had in a flight sim.
  24. Spitfire, Mustang, Mossie, 109, Corsair, Jug, Huey, Gazelle.. Not enough time
