My Hurricane has no 110s or 111s to defend against, it’s also quite lacking in the Hurricane dept. My Mossie should be doing 420mph but it doesn’t. My Carrier and most of the fleet were built by dedicated Modders (thank you). My Swordfish doesn’t exist yet, not counting modded AI models. My Wildcats, Corsairs and Typhoons are figments of my imagination. My lunch is ready. I’m still surprised someone finally built a map of Germany and set it in the wrong era. I wonder about almost every choice made when it comes to DCS’ approach to WWII. Still love me props but ugh what a missed opportunity. Make sense of it all, please.

Nice one . Let us know how you get on with landings .

There’s hope, I thought I’d never get it sorted when I first tried it too. I wouldn’t say the Mossie’s easy to either land or take off. Not straight away anyhow. Like a lot of things, easy when you know how. Saying that, I still rush in and smash em up regularly enough. Keeps the chippies busy . I’d say don’t hang about with the throttles. I’ve usually got my RPMs to 3,000 within a couple of seconds, maybe three? I usually trim the nose down around 1 1/2 notches. I sometimes have to flick the brake with rudder to straighten the nose, once the speed finally starts to build I might be twitching my pedals some. Almost before I’m airborne I get the gear in. Probably best not to try that one but get em in as early as possible. I use a button to unlock em before I throttle up and a switch to bring em up or down. Try not to climb or turn too early, stay straight and level and let the speed build first and trim out. Practice, practice, and practice, you’ll suss it. It’s a great module, worth all the wreckages. Don’t forget to pack your sandwiches and bring a flask, enjoy.

All the best Admiral, take it easy and I hope you’re feeling better soon. -

Great stuff. Wish I had the know how and the money for the software. Look forward to more props knocking about the place. -

How far along is the project? I see one of these quite regularly during the summer, be a laugh trying one out. Keep up the good work . -

Nice. We need all the props we can get. Well done. -
Patience, time and practice, practice, practice and post tracks of Mossies thundering towards thresholds, people here can help then.

I thought for a minute you couldn’t ’run the starter’ and maybe hadn’t opened the window but no, sounds like something to do with your mission? I tried the English voices too but never got them working. Enjoy the Mossie, great module

Strange issue with landing gear (STILL!)
Slippa replied to Raptorattacker's topic in Bugs and Problems
The plot thickens. Those video clips give me flashbacks of our Mossie nightmares and all the suspension jiggery-pokery. Somewhere in another thread I was reading about possible bugs with the USB connections. I’ve had loads of crazy stuff go on with my controllers unplugging themselves then plugging themselves in again. Maybe there’s something in that? I’ve had CTDs and regular freezes, in MP trying to use the German map is a toboggan ride into near epilepsy, not exactly what I was expecting . Is there another ‘ol skool’ way of recording your flights then editing those? Won’t fix the tracks problems but if unplugging and rebooting doesn’t work you might have to go the other way. *Wanders off with echoes of that bloody ‘pew-pew’ tailwheel breaking sample. -
Cold War Sale | Currenthill Assets | Contention PVP Servers
Slippa replied to Graphics's topic in Official Newsletters
This thread has no business here, it’s far too sensible. Lock it up Well done ED and congrats, not only to Currenthill but to all of us. Very much Looking forward to some quality assets. Great decision, onwards and upwards -
I’ve been wanting animated ground crew since I got into DCS, never mind a better animated ‘me’ pilot. We’ve almost got some on the carrier but they’re iffy smffy’s at times. Would be good to be able to hop out of a truck and do the pre-flight check of our aircraft. Would probably be short lived and some would skip it to get flying but it’d be good to have a bit of life in the place. Our ground crews are ghostly whisperings from nowhere “copy”. I’d love to see some proper ground crews. Someone to actually “run the starter” on the Mossie would be nice. Black Lab to greet me back for bonus points .

Cold War Launch | DCS Summary | Heatblur Bundle
Slippa replied to Graphics's topic in Official Newsletters
I like the way you’re thinking . I’ll add my thanks too for the missions, and cheers Rudel for the nod as I hadn’t seen em before now. I’ll keep my eye out for your German bits too then, nice one. -
All of that stuff you’ve got looks pretty bloody good for a hack job ggrewe. That all belongs in my ovgme folders too , cracking job you’re doing there. Custom arguments too? Sounds like something Mrs Slippa’s spent 30 odd years perfecting but I prefer the DCS style args myself. Well done .

With Cold war Germany additional period supporting assets are needed
Slippa replied to Kev2go's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Blimey, you don’t want much do ya Kev? Should keep em busy. Well researched though, look forward to seeing what we end up with.
