  1. Touch wood so far, all my RB bits are as they should be. Haven’t had anything pop up and have flown them recently. Good luck with clearing it up.
  2. Cheers for doing your guides Chuck, always my first port of call for bindings and a great source of info .
  3. Personally I don’t mind not having a voiceover. I can read it ok and the spacebar acknowledgement works well enough so we can skip through if needs be. Casmos vids are pretty good too thankfully.
  4. I was looking around last night to see if I could get rid of it. Training with the gun a bit I wasn’t using the crosshairs as much as watching where my early shots were going.
  5. It’s the only prop I own that I haven’t flown really. I’ve got two 190s I don’t fly so wouldn’t buy another one. Nothing against it, I just moved onto other modules for a bit. If we could have anything of the period we could all come up with better candidates. If we were to be getting different variants of stuff we already have, let’s have a Griffon engine . We need more props though, always.
  6. Good idea Seabat. To post any more pics I had to go and delete a load of old stuff too. Not sure what’s the best way around it as we’ll end up filling our quota somehow however we do it? Maybe linking to an image host but it’s a bit iffy, I dunno? There’s only one thing for it. Release the Lancaster . - Maybe we’ll need a cheeky update/salivate video? Just to tide us over. We’re all rooting for ya team, let’s have a look how Brians landings are getting on. Well that’s the main thing eh?
  7. I know it’s the one I was looking for. Warthog bindings suggestions should help. cheers .
  8. That’s me jabbing my nose. Rule number one, read the manual. I rarely do and don’t I know it now . Got so caught up in ‘training’ I didn’t think about it. Cheers for the nod . Thoroughly enjoying it though. Speciality at the minute is letting the Co-Pilot hover, take back control without checking collective, drop like a stone, panic, frighten the spine and say hello to the airbags.
  9. I've spent a while just plotting bits with the float Barge. After loads of tests I can't place statics on it. Well, I can, but they appear under water when I do . The cargo version of the Loach can be placed on the barge though, I had it with cargo for the Huey, Cows too. Trying to plot a patrol boat to pull alongside I found it stops dead in the water before it gets there. Maybe the collision box needs trimming or something but it'd be good to be able to do what I've been trying to. Moor it up. Placing statics would be good too. Also, wonder if plotting the Loach as AI is something we should look forward to, or rule out? I can't help trying it. Sometimes they explode, sometimes they fly off .
  10. I'm having a nightmare working out what and where to bind things. I keep changing bits around. If anyone's using a Warthog and has any ideas I wouldn't mind hearing em . I'm going through the trainers, binding stuff to use but I dunno, it's not ideal.
  11. I love the stuff this place pops up with. Always something to learn .
  12. No worries. Just needed a gentle nudge . Glad you're pleased with it . I'm trying to bind buttons but keep swapping them out. I've got a Warthog HOTAS, an Xbox controller, keyboard, mouse, pedals and I'm threatening to try the stuff for the ipad but it's getting a bit OTT over here. Loads of bits to learn on this for me. Jets and Helis I have I've learnt to cold start, fly a bit and land-ish but haven't learnt the systems. Plenty on here to keep me busy. My poor Spit and Mossie aint had a look-in lately, it's been the Loach, F-4 and this. Love that Loach too.
  13. I started messing with it again earlier from scratch. I had a few go AWOL on me but yeah, it's the ramp numbering and plotting that goes a bit weird. Couple of hours went by and I haven't had a fly yet. That ME's deadly . Works anyhow . Erm, To Add: I'm thinking something's up with the sea-barge floaty job? I've created a new mission, chosen a map, plonked the barge down and I plot a player heli, a static and a couple of veterans. Each time I either lose one or my flight's been delayed. When I try to back out of the ME DCS locks and either CTD or I have to force close DCS to get anywhere. Odd.
  14. Just watched the video BronzeYard posted and have to say the real gun sounds a bit naff too. Maybe Polychops gun sounds ain’t so bad after all?
  15. I can’t say I’m anywhere near as impressed with the Kiowa as I am with the F-4. That doesn’t mean to say it isn’t really good which I think it is. It’s nowhere near the Phantom but it’s packed with a lot and is a lot of fun to fly, the sounds are naff (for now) and the external lights but I hope in an update or two it’ll improve. I don’t like to say it but when I read that this was to be a fully fledged finished module I knew it probably wouldn’t be. There are always niggles and bits to touch up with most things which is fair enough. This is meant to be finished though. There’s a few boo-boos but I think it’ll be good in a bit. Just grab it Mr Vole, you know you wanna
  16. I think we should have ground crew trotting about doing allsorts. Not sure how it’d affect performance but would be much more immersive.
  17. I was on a MP server surrounded by choppers of all kind. There were 8 of us noodling around and I had tiny bits of stutter but not for long. It was better than I thought it was gonna be and my rig’s not got all the bells and whistles on by any means. Don’t think it’s any better or worse than my other helis? (Loach, Apache, Huey, Gazelle). I don’t have great performance with FPS with anything to be fair so not the best example.
  18. ^ I love the Loach. The current version is much less taxing to fly now, for me anyhow. Still nippy enough to challenge but not by too much. It’s mustard. I’ve more affection for that little heli than any other. It dragged me out of flying my props for a bit and I love my props. I fly the Huey too and have the Apache and Gazelle but haven’t really flown them much. As soon as I tried the Kiowa I took off and floated around easily and I’m no heli pilot really. No need for any curves or anything just on, up and away. Never had control of a heli IRL but have been up a couple of times in a Bell Ranger. If pilots that have flown them say the FMs ok I’ll take their word for it.
  19. I was thinking of trying an x-box controller or maybe mapping the num pad. I’m using a warthog and stabbing away guessing at where to bind things then changing them just to learn how to use the different systems. A command rose wouldn’t hurt I suppose?
  20. Aha! Superb. I read that there might’ve been a sneaky fix but thought it unlikely. Been busy trying to convert to too many things at once lately and have barely seen a propeller. Look forward to it being sorted, thanks team and thank you. Oh and yeah, the wiper. I still roll it round as part of my startup, someday it’s gonna work .
  21. It can be done Keyser, I’ve got it set with a client Huey, a static and a player Loach. Think I set them by choosing the ramp numbers? I’ll have a look at it when I’m at it but it’s possible. It’s not as difficult as stabbing the devil in the back, you should be ok.
  22. Funny, I thought about starting a ‘Christian Eagle, What’s the status’ thread but, er, nah. Best not .
  23. Went through some of the training missions earlier. Typically I’ve forgotten what the instrument was called but they’re instructing us to use a left mouse click when it should be right and vice-versa. Oh, it’s on the pilots stick when turning up the rpms a few notches to 100%. Minor thing in the cold start tutorial but misled me for a bit. Looking forward to the sound engineers updates. Exterior touch ups if there are any I can wait for. Other than that it’s great. So easy to fly, looking forward to getting to grips with the systems in it. Could do with a bindings map for the warthog if anyone has suggestions, I’ve plonked a few in but they’re probably not ideal.
  24. Yep, well done Polychop. Spent a couple of hours in it earlier learning the cold start and flying around. It’s no trouble to fly already and I’m pretty green in choppers. Nice one .
