Thanks for your replies to bad DCS wont let you do it 3to 4% aint much

Im not talking sli ,just running the second card(1070) and plugging my monitor into it leaving the rift plugged into the 2080 im thinking theoretically it would work but Im no expert

My Motherboard (asus rampage 3 extreme rog)has 3 16x pcie slots, I have run triple sli cards on the board in the past,also the rift runs on HDMI on the 2080rtx and I have an old gtx 1070 just sitting around seems it could work but im no expert but it would seem that mirroring DCS(thru the display port) on the monitor would use horsepower best used for the rift.it would be sweet if it would work...……….

I acurred to me that with my oculus rift using hdmi only and my monitor using the displayport is it possible to add an old 1070 gtx and run my monitor with it and have my RTX 2080 run my Rift off it in dcs? Im thinking itll gain significant FPS not having to render both off the RTX2080? Thanks in advance for you thoughts on this quite interesting idea.

I just bought a RTX 2080 Founders addition ($800)and Im very weary but Ive read these cards are coming from Nvidia already overclocked?thats a first for Nvidias founders addition. I was running MSI afterburner and after I read the cards are factory overclocked I quickly got rid of afterburner .

yea I saw its kinda widespread with the 2080ti saw it on the internet today ,1200 is a lot of money only to have it go south like that.

wondering if you could find a way to not have the sim come up on the monitor at all just in the rift?hmmmmmm?

Just got my oculus rift and was wondering if steam VR is worth fooling with as I only want the rift for DCS and My modules are all non steam,Can someone enlighten me on any advantages to usein steam if any? Thanks in advance

Ive been around DCS since the beginning 08 and actually started flight sims in 97/98 I just took a six year breaak because of just this kinda nonsense I appreciate your input but I tried everything there should be a way to delete the profile altogether and start over but there is not as far as I can tell? never seen a sim call trimming ,trimmer switches?I finally got it to not use that hat for views it(the sim was default mapping that hat somewhere in controls every time I would quit outta the sim ,I downloaded chucks guide time ta do some reading. Thanks for the help anyway.

sounz like it had a helluvatime tryin to get this bird to fly first time out never had this much trouble mappin the warthog the thing still ignores the trim/wont trim but ill figure it out. Ive never had a sim bird shake its tail like this thing does that cant be accurate feels overdone. like I said ive been away from sims for 6 years so I dont remember the proceedure for install target and I dont waanna brick mine

took the time to map my warthog in the sim get it done go into the sim and the damn trimmer hat will NOT trim ?it slews the view and refuses to stop after remapping the damn thing a bunch of times flat refuses to do anything but slew the view in the cockpit anybody see this before just bought the sim today and already this nonsense and im not new to dcs any help would be appreciated,I dont wanna use target but it startin to look good to me now also does the nose shake on this bird when you guys hit the throttle? sim looks good but first aint lookin good...............and no theres nothin wrong with my warthog Thanks in advance

Well I pulled the trigger but am starting to get cold feet about the rift ,I think they cut the price because the next gen is around the corner (6 months )but it will be pricey for first adopters,400 is not a lot of money so Ill keep it and work on my hardware overclock my cpu spring for another card also I bought FA 18C today so Im jumping in again Ive loved simming since 97 anyone remember EF2000? falcon 4.0 2 years later that was before graphics cards........so here I go again

my 1070 is 8gb also Ive run futuremark benchmark and this box still gets in the 14500 range. I may just get a water cooler and Overclock to 3.7

already have a warthog,and I just pulled the trigger on the rift my real concern is im running windows 7 and absolutely hate the idea of going to windows ten any thoughts ?Ive read that it will run on 7 ? also I hated trackir so VR was just a matter of time
