Overall would you recommend Buying the 8KX ?and what are youre opinions about your overall experience with their products? Im wanting to go Pimax for the FOV, but Im leary of their claims regarding their products in particular the screenshots regarding reading the instruments/gauges in DCS and IL2,any and all opinions from current owners would be GREATLY APPRECIATED. Thanx in advance.

Pimax? Im strongly considering a pimax for the FOV alone and I wanted to get some opinions of actual users in DCS,Im thinking about waiting for the 8kx but Im considering the 8k thats available now I would greatly appreciate some opinions from the DCS/IL2 Gang in here.Thanks in advance

The problem is if you unplug any USB device joysticks throttles or MFDs,DCS is gonna change its address(in DCS) so if you somehow change the USB to ANY other USB port its not gonna work(ask me how I know)

So Vulkan isnt the holy grail? from what Ive read (Wiki) we can expect a 20% in crease in performance at best from Vulkan @best

since modern movies run at 26fps I suspect thats why I am not noticing a drop in FPS, either way it only goes into RED and above 22ms down low and during violent maneuvering over cities then quickly recovers back to yellow and green

Well what about pegged all the way up red and as high as 28/29ms? Because my experience didnt seem to stutter at all? but im running a I7 9700 oc@4.6 but Turbos to 4.9mhz all cores synced(I know DCS only uses 2 cores )an RTX 2080, DCS on an NVME SSD also 64gb memory @3200mhz and an Asus ROG maximus XI Code,Im pretty sure it is very plane/map dependent but I just dont seem to get any ill effect from running pegged in the Red all the way up on the graph? is there away to record your GPU usage over time?Keep a log? in task manager anyone?

This is also plane dependent F14/Fa18 pegs me out down low and violent maneuvers to along with over cities but up high and over ocean not so much.

just tested this, the whole graph filled to the top with red but my experience remained smooth are you certain it drops to 45 fps when it all red and to the top? also how are you measuring your GPU Usage?

I got the same kind of results by the old stutter when you look out right or left over cities, the caucasus was by far the best map PG and nevada about the same .

Occupy the Landing Signal Officer (LSO) station with PLAT camera, including VR support Thats gonna be awesome IMHO

I dont know but for my $25.00 dollars I suspect it will be cool all the way around

It may be because I installed the new drivers with out NV experience and the reinstalled experience after(Ive found experience to be buggy) odd thing is Pavlov was found an "optimised" by experience:smilewink:

tried it,VRSS in program specific settings in control panel for Pavlov VR (Nvidia supported VRSS title)and even though NV experience detected it(Pavlov VR) the VRSS option for Pavlov refuses to come up in NV control panel, but the Max FPS option was in there ? strange indeed I have a RTX 2080 so it should be there but...... nope would have liked to test it in Pavlov but I doubt people with hefty Rigs will notice a difference as Pavlov runs damn nicely on mine in VR but im running a I7 9700k an RTX2080 with NVME SSds with 64GB of DDR 3200 and a Asus ROG Maximus XI Code mobo.What ive noticed is NV Experience only wants to detect AAA titles even if you point the scanner directly at any other titles like DCS .This is starting to look like hype to sell some old RTX cards on the shelf before the next round of cards by Nvidia to set them apart from AMD?Im interested in what you guys think

throttle don't like USB 3.0 mine will only function on USB 2.0

Can you transfer your entire DCS install(155 GBs) with a flashdrive? and will it function?if not what folders do you copy to at least keep your original joystick controller profiles? Many thanks in advance computer gurus
