F/A18E/F Super Hornets block 1 and BLock 2 E/F ( lot 26)
SilentSparrow replied to Kev2go's topic in DCS Core Wish List
The Super Hornet has more efficient engines, what are you talking about. Plus, it has a 41% higher range. That's a lot. The Super Hornet has 2 extra hardpoints, BOTH of which can carry the 800-pound AGM-88 missile. Yes, but not by much. And yes, the Lot 25 is what we are asking for from a 2-seater. The Lot 29 could work for a single-seater due to the disappearance of the ACS, but the 2-seater Lot 25 is what is really going to sell. They could sell the single and 2 seater Rhinos in the same package, and it would be pretty popular. Eurofighter vs F/A-18F BVR fights could be the future of DCS World multiplayer. The Super Hornet's 12x AIM-120 capability gives us something good. The SPAMRAAM upgrade. -

Oh, I was mistaken. By the way, the pilots have their visors up. Will you update the 3d model to have the visors down? -
F-15EX Mod
SilentSparrow replied to VR Flight Guy in PJ Pants's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
IIRC there are 2 outboard pylons on each wing. Last vid you posted showed an AMBER rack on there as well as an AGM-88F on the very outboard. Replace the AGM-88F with the AIM-120 and you have the 22 missiles. -
Would it be possible to make an F-14D-165-GR? IIRC it was the 2nd F-14D block number and was the last F-14 without the IRST pod, so I believe all of it is unclassified.

F/A18E/F Super Hornets block 1 and BLock 2 E/F ( lot 26)

So, how about we keep going? Let's ask ED to make a Super Hornet. -
F-15EX Mod
SilentSparrow replied to VR Flight Guy in PJ Pants's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
Oh yeah, we all want to see the cockpit. But one thing better than that? The impact. With a missile truck with 22 AMRAAMS in DCS, we will have so much fun absolutely beating up a whole squadron. -
I'm new so I actually bought it once. Also, I think that you didn't do the @ right. You did not notify me with it, so just a heads up.

F-22A Raptor mod enhancement mod
SilentSparrow replied to Nightstorm's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
It's nice. Also, @Nightstorm will you make a new F-22 EFM to replace Grinnelli's? His doesn't have TVC, and we are all baffled at why he hasn't released his TVC-equipped one yet. -
Oh, that's sad. Are you making an FM or using the Ka-50 FM? Also, will this replace the Ka-50 and/or break integrity check?

YES! You're still working on it! We all want a Ka-52, will this require the Ka-50 module?

in development Vought F4U Corsair

Thankfully they are making one today. -
An F-15D Baz mod already exists with the same functionality as the F-15C Baz so nobody would buy it.

F-15EX Mod
SilentSparrow replied to VR Flight Guy in PJ Pants's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
Thankfully, yes, the HCSM has the exact same body of the AARGM. In fact, the only difference between the AARGM and HCSM is that the HCSM has a better Inertial Navigation System (If I remember correctly). The AARGM-ER however, well, that's a different story. -

Just a thought, the AARGM I don't think were ever used by the USAF. They instead used the AGM-88F HCSM (HARM Control Section Modification). However, it would be nice to have that for newer USN aircraft. Also, the AARGM-ER is going to be used by the USAF. -
what is Your personal DCS wishlist (and not just flyable mods)
SilentSparrow replied to upyr1's topic in DCS Core Wish List
F/A-18E/F Super Hornet F-14D Super Tomcat F-15C Eagle Modernized (With JHMCS, Link 16, and APG-63(v)2 AESA if that is unclassified. The APG-63(v)2 may actually be the first AESA to be unclassified) F-16A and/or F-16CM Block 52+ Su-30 Flanker-G/H Dassault Rafale Eurofighter Typhoon (We are actually getting that so that's nice) -

SilentSparrow replied to VR Flight Guy in PJ Pants's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
Oh, AARGM? Nice! An AARGM-ER would be the exact same shape of the AIM-260 that GR has, so maybe it'd be easier to implement. I hope that GR can release his modern missiles pack soon, but I've talked to him. He says that the GR team is conflicted on what to do with the pack. Some want to take it different directions than others, but I hope it can be released soon. Although I've talked with many in the DCS community on Discord and here and they don't have the best opinion of GR. So, on another note, I hope that they can accept the GR Modern Weapons pack. -

SilentSparrow replied to VR Flight Guy in PJ Pants's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
The AIM-260 could also be carried, so yeah the Grim Reapers could share that with you. The modern missiles pack may also include the AGM-88F and AGM-88G so that's nice. -
What I'm saying is that now that ED keeps announcing modules early in development (We won't get an F-100 until a few years from now but they've already announced the F-100D by Grinnelli) but they haven't made any announcement to the F-15C. And they make so many announcements, they might have even made a Super Hornet announcement (See: You just never know). So, the main idea is that ED could at any time make a full-fidelity F-15C announcement, but they don't, so it's reasonable to assume its further down the priority list.
-
An F-15C has been there since LOMAC. Full-fidelity LOMAC planes are probably the last things that ED wants to do other than the MiG-29 9-12 (We are still stuck with the MiG-29S as non-clickable cockpit). A Lot 25 Super Hornet is very different than the Lot 20 Hornet we have today. The F-15E is a third party project, we all know that. So, an early 2000s full-fidelity F-15C with JHMCS and Link 16 but no AESA would be a great thing for DCS (The APG-63(v)2 AESA may even be unclassified) but is pretty far down the priority list.

F/A18E/F Super Hornets block 1 and BLock 2 E/F ( lot 26)
SilentSparrow replied to Kev2go's topic in DCS Core Wish List
What were all of the things removed from the Super Hornet that were on the Legacy Hornet? I'd imagine those weapons are still not on even the Lot 37 Hornets coming into service today. Still, a Super Hornet would be nice. -
We need one with JHMCS and Link 16. I think we can get that with a 2003-era F-15C because the APG-63(v)2 came to the F-15C soon after that.
-
It also has things like the F-16C, M2000C, and F/A-18C, so it'd probably be more new features on our existing FC3 F-15C than an F-15C module we want. We'd probably need other planes before the F-15C anyways (Super Hornet, F-15E, etc)

F/A18E/F Super Hornets block 1 and BLock 2 E/F ( lot 26)
SilentSparrow replied to Kev2go's topic in DCS Core Wish List
I believe the Lot 25 Hornets were 2005-era and so have pretty much the same weapons as the Lot 20. Plus A2A weapons are staying the same. Yes, Iran needed Tomcat parts, and retirement came fast for the F-14. Yes, all those other planes were replaced by Super Hornets. However, I said that the Block I ended in 2006, exactly the moment that the Tomcat was fully retired (2006 F-14D from VFA-31) -
F/A18E/F Super Hornets block 1 and BLock 2 E/F ( lot 26)
SilentSparrow replied to Kev2go's topic in DCS Core Wish List
A Super Hornet would add a lot. Like I said, it's a great jet for simulating post-Tomcat carrier ops since all Tomcats were replaced by Block I Super Hornets. A Lot 25 would be a great boon for ED. And, it's a lot of work for many things that aren't in there (Like extended range, better avionics, etc) That said maybe you guys should just keep the thread alive so that ED can pay attention. We all want a Super Hornet.
