  1. I don't think OXRTK frametime works when QVFR is enabled. It is mentioned somewhere by mbucchia either in the QVFR thread or on the git hub wiki.
  2. I'm not seeing that with DLSS 4. The clarity of the cockpit and MFDs look better than with 3.8.10.
  3. https://github.com/Orbmu2k/nvidiaProfileInspector/releases It has an option that you can select the most up-to-date DLSS release. Just need to toggle this and select preset K.
  4. The latest version of NVPI is the easiest option now. I have stopped using DLSSTweaks.
  5. The DLSS4 upgrade (3.10.2) includes new presets (J and K) which can be used with DLSS and DLAA. So, yes, it is worth upgrading. It reduces ghosting and other artifacts compared to the plastic version if DLSS 3 (3.8.10) and preset E or F. The default version in DCS is 3.7.0.
  6. Has anyone upgraded from a 4070 to a 5080 and if so what sort of gains have you had in VR?
  7. This is very situational and is quite bad in some conditions. However, I agree that overall this is offset by significant benefits.
  8. After many hours of perseverance I am now very happy with DLSS4. Yes, there are some downsides but the positives definitely outweigh the negatives. The clarity and AA is so good that I have been able to reduce the size of the foveated region (QVFR) which has really helped performance. For anyone interested: DLSS4 3.10.2 preset K VD Godlike at 72 Hz QVFR centre 0.2x0.2 at 1.4; periphery 0.38. Sharpness 0.9. (The boost in the foveated resolution combined with increased sharpening has reduced ghosting and improved spotting) Given that this is early days for DLSS4 the future looks promising
  9. Has anyone asked Flying Iron if they are interested in making a version for DCS?
  10. I've tried lots of variations to try and offset the artifacts but nothing works.
  11. After repeated testing (about 12 hours) I still think that DLSS 4 (310.2 preset J and K) is deficient in several areas. Spotting is very blurred. There is still some smearing around the edges of planes like "leaking oil". Severe (and unplayable) ghosting against ground textures. Loss of contrast of planes against clouds in some situations so they "disappear". Performance (in VR with QVFR) of DLSS at performance setting is similar to MSAAx2. There is very little benefit of SS with DFR (subjective opinion). To qualify my experience most of my testing is done with WW2 aircraft and settings. I have also tried increasing the centre resolution up to equivalent of 4500 pixels to try and offset any artifacts. No difference. Is anyone else seeing this?
  12. I love this plane. I fly it in "the other combat SIM" but would love a DCS FF version. It's the ultimate WW2 fighter bomber.
  13. True. A technical difference only. Meta claim 50% more performance over the XR2 but that's just salt and pepper. A bit like a 4080 vs a 5080
  14. The QP has the XR2+ processor. The Q2 is just the XR2.
  15. I think this has been raised before but just wanted to revisit the idea. A P-38 would suit both Normandy 2 and WW2 Marianas maps and 1944 setting.
  16. Bumping this post again. Thc p-38 played a big role in the PTO and ETO so it would suit both N2 and WW2 Marianas maps.
  17. Yes. It's the windows streaming app that I reinstalled. Thanks. I have tried various notification toggles but none seem to work. I'll keep looking and maybe I'll find the answer.
  18. Yes but the Marianas Islands have lots of beaches and it's sunny
  19. Does anyone know how to stop the annoying "handsets might not be tracked without WiFi" message? Thankfully I have very short hair? Edit: solution. Enable "do not disturb" on the headset.
  20. I think I have solved it. I reinstalled VD streamer and now I get 400mbps
  21. The Quest Pro is a very good headset. Don't judge it on specs alone. There is a reason it used to cost £1500. I managed to pick one up second hand (immaculate as new) for £300 last year and have never looked back. The lenses are very good as is the contrast etc and It has eye tracking. It is much more comfortable than a rift s or Pico 4. I don't have any experience with a Q3 or other headsets.
  22. You can use Oculus Tray Tool to set keybinds to toggle ASW. And you can select 960mbps from a drop down menu.
  23. Have your tried QVFR in fixed mode? https://github.com/mbucchia/Quad-Views-Foveated
  24. I'm thinking about getting an rtx5080 when back in stock so am thinking from this perspective regarding headset upgrade.
  25. Thanks. You've saved me some cash. I think I'll stick with the QP.
