Because CMWS is/was a mod. The -10 is the standard equipment operators manual. Aircraft, A's and L's, got sent off for the CMWS mod. The M model was the first Blackhawk to come off the line with CMWS. That's why it's not referenced in the -10 until the UH-60M. I definitely meant around for a long time...

CMWS has been around for a long time. I remember walking into my hanger back in Jan 2005 and had birds getting the A-kits installed for CMWS before my sister battalion deployed to Afghanistan. We also had CMWS installed on our aircraft when I deployed for the first time in 2007. I put some photos up also...The 2 pictures; one with ESSS installed and the one with the cockpit doors open are from 2006/2007 time frame. You can see the CMWS EOMS housing on the nose. The one of my taking a preflight fuel sample is in Iraq between Sep-Nov 2007, no combat patch yet. You can see the flare bucket right behind my shoulder. The last pic I took of our chalk 2 while flying in Iraq. You can see all the CMWS stuff on it back in OIF 07-09.

Anyone figure out why this thing only hits 42 knots in the ME?

The mixer will still move the controls in the cockpit since everything from the cockpit up into the hydraulic deck is hard tubing style flight controls. Even when trim is engaged and you use the china hat to adjust the trim, the cyclic will physically move. The mixer doesn't counter anything. It's a physical part of the flight controls placed in between the SAS actuators and the primary servos. It has full range of motion. I would assume so for the trim. I wasn't a pilot, just a crew chief who got to hang out the window with the M240H Lol

The real bird does automatically dispense for SAM threats. I'm not positive whether or not the game simulates the data cards for both the APR-39 and the CMWS, but I'm going to assume so. Real life version has data cards that contain missile profiles on them and have giant red stickers that say CLASSIFIED on them and get inserted into the APR-39 and the CMWS processors so it can fire the right cocktails of flares and chaff. Definitely make sure that all your systems are on. APR-39 on, CMWS on, chaff dispenser armed, AAR-57 armed. There is also a safety pin by the ICS box for the left rear CE. I don't know if that's modeled or not in DCS. If it is, that pin needs to be pulled for the dispensers to work as well.

Yeah, in the real-life version of the -60 the mechanical mixing unit, MMU, does that for you. The MMU is designed to put in flight control inputs for you, for lack of better wording. It will automatically do collective-pitch, collective-roll, collective-yaw, yaw-pitch. Basically, when you pull collective, it will add pedal and cyclic to maintain a level attitude. All H-60 variants still use flight control rods and cables. Sikorsky has an experimental version that has a fly by wire system but that's it. It hasn't been pushed out to the fleet yet. I wish they had a fly by wire when I was crewing on them. Wouldn't have had to do full flight control rigs anymore! LOL

Alright...So, figured out what is was. I had a mod in the tech call Wolf. Opening it up it looks like it has some trucks in it. I'll attach a picture below. Obviously there is something in there that disagrees with the game and crashes it. I appreciate all the suggestions for figuring this out y'all!

Morning everyone! Once I did the .old to saved games it fired up. I'm about to start dropping in mods and missions I've created one at a time to see if I can figure out which mod messed with it.
-
Oh goody, that'll be fun Lol At least I kinda remember what was there before the crash and know which ones are stable. CH's mods we all know work and work great and a good chunk of others I have, we all have for the most part, and know they work great. Well, guess I'll get on that then...Yay...
-
Definitley thought I tried the .old thing already but I guess I skipped that during a bunch of other crap...So, that worked but obviously I don't have any off my missions or anything else associated with that folder. What in a mod would cause the game to not connect to the log in servers and crash the game? Would the best bet be to start dropping mods in one at a time until I find the problem child and then give that one the middle finger?

I'd try what you're talking about in game but my game doesn't even load right now so maybe someone can verify this for me...I'm assuming you need to right click on each of the PCL's once NG is on the rise to "click" the PCL into idle. I wouldn't try using the scroll wheel due to the fact you might go past idle. Try that and see what happens.

Don't know if anyone is still reading this...Just updated to 2.9.20.15384 and I still can't get the game to load. Still has the same HTTP request failure error. Is anyone from ED able to see this and provide some guidance or a solution? Had zero issues until these 2 updates and don't even know where to start with HTTP request. Is there a way to go back in version of DCS?

No VPNs, never had one. Anyone know a good free VPN? No firewall changes that I have made. Windows 11 might have in the background, but I haven't I was unaware that multithreading is just part of DCS now versus having to go find it. So, I removed some files causing the sound errors, ran the none MT executable to start, and dropped all the firewalls and still the same thing. ASYNCNET request denied and logout failed.

I've renamed the mission editor folder to MissionEditor.old and my secondary shadows were already off and still no getting into DCS. Edit: I even removed the MissionEditor folder completely from my Saved Games folder. Still nothing... -
So, 2 slow repairs, a fast repair, and a cleanup............And still nothing. Can't even get into the game.

I have the same thing going on right now. I get the main screen with log in and the MIG-29 ad playing. I click launch. Get the NVIDIA screen, the small DCS screen then nothing. I've tried a slow repair, fast repair, and renamed the mission editor files. Still nothing...
