Shouldn't you be asking in the racing forums the question about crashes in the racing game? I can't imagine that the Varjo Aero wouldn't run fine in racing sims. I would create a dual boot system to run racing on one boot and DCS on the other. That way your HMD's would be on different systems. I run dual boot Win11 so all my regular PC stuff is on the default boot and DCS and its related software are on the second boot. Your Win10 or Win11 will allow this without additional purchase.

Can you run DCS from Steam that way? Personally, I would transfer DCS out of Steam cutting out that extra entanglement. You can still buy mods from steam and transfer the license to ED.

I've never run from Steam, so I can't help you with Steam Link. Set DCS to minimum VR with its preset, and then add options from there. If your having issues with the VR preset, then you may have a an issue with Steam Link or your PC.

Yep, that seems to have been it. I've been sick and only got to just try it. I forget that hot starts don't have the AC configuration that I want.

I already have 64GB, the issue was resolved when I deleted the saved games folder and just kept my bindings.

I was thinking about that today while out for an appointment. I will give that a look.

Specs are fine, but how do you connect for DCS i.e. Meta Link cable or wireless, or Virtual Desktop. If Wi-Fi, what are your Wi-Fi specs. If USB, does it test good in the Meta software? Post screen shots of your DCS and Meta or VD settings. Starting settings should be the VR preset in DCS and then work upward from there to find your preferred settings. For Meta software, set it for 72hz and push the slider all the way to the right. Are you using any other apps or mods such as OpenXR Toolkit?

I double checked and I don't have any winds. I have tried following the misaligned ASL but the MK20's miss.

Azimuth Steering Line and Target Designator Not Aligning after 1st MK20's Drop which works as expected. This is just a test run of a mission I created to see how the M20 works. The first run to target works as intended with the ASL and TD aligning. When I turn and come back at the same target, the ASL and TD are not lining up. I was using someone else's mission to test how MK-20's work and when I moved the start location, I saw double waypoints. So, I created my own mission on the same map, Persian Gulf. I was flying around trying to target the waypoints and it kept showing off the target. So, I quit out and looked at the ME and the screen shot kind of is self-explanatory. I closed and reopened the mission in ME and they were gone closer to the original waypoint. So close I could not see them until I zoomed in. Once I delete all the static objects, dual waypoints still existed. I close the ME and saved it, then reopened and the waypoints were all gone. Mk20_Rockeyes_Test.miz

For the MFG Crosswinds V3 I have my DCS settings to stock, so no dead zone or curves. Then I made the settings in the MFG application. Setting the rudder dead zone to 50 gave me great control on my last landing and taxi. I found an 8-year-old video that showed the settings he used and why. There is also a program called DIView that came with the MFG software that will help you determine how much to set your rudder dead zone. Even the slightest touch of the pedals at stock are registering lots of Rz movement.

I couldn't find any video on the dead zone settings, just calibration. I did find a 3rd party video from 8 years ago that helps a little as he discusses the dead zone center number and uses an included app I did not know about. YouTube Video This is what I have found in the manual: To me this sounds like two different ways to do the same thing. Maybe brakes vs rudder but the rudder axis has a 0.5 for dead zone start and finish percent. I'm going to try default plus change dead zone center to 50 like in the video I linked.

As per the title, the software is not exactly end user friendly. What is "Dead Zone Start Percent", "Dead Zone Center Number" and "Dead Zone End Percent"? I could guess and keep throwing numbers in but that seems like a tedious effort. Last couple of flights if I touch the pedals, I fly off the runway and I have been having successful takeoffs and landings for quite a while. The issue is also with taxiing and just seemed to start recently.

Are you setting up the dead zone in the MFG software? I just started having this issue too and noticed last night in the MFG software were back to default. I read that Milan recommended using his tool for dead zone adjustments, but at the same time the MFG software seems directed more to an engineer who designed it and not the consumer.

Thanks, I did the group policy. Even if I never use the G2 again, at least I won't have to deal with the update until it's fully flushed out, at least until 11/11/2025.

I know this is a little old but two options. There is a new development of a wireless PointCTRL that is in beta testing, so not a conversion. The other is a Sluggmouse, which is Bluetooth, look for that under the VR section. I have Sluggmouse and it works really well and no waitlist. I'm still waiting for my PointCTRL for 19 months now. I had a G2, now a Q3 and will probably have a Pimax by the time the PointCTRL is ready, which I will need as Sluggmouse only works with hand tracking and an OpenXR app called HTCC.

Does it block security updates too? Link does not work for me

Are you on a 4000 series Nvidia GPU or a AMD(don't follow AMD GPU's) that supports 10-bit? If your on a 3000 or earlier, switch to HVEC but not 10bit.

I have a DCS shortcut on my desktop. After steps 1-4 above, I give that shortcut a doubleclick with my controller, then when DCS starts, click start in the new DCS startup page.

Happens to me too in VR
