  1. So I was filming it in 2D, but I am usually in VR. I slowed down the capture to 1/10th speed and it is not pushing in the OSP buttons on the first WP until altitude. I'll change to the 100 and give it a try in 2D and then VR. Maybe VR can have a shorter tics?
  2. So, I removed all previous files from Saved Games, including the ScratchPadConfig.lua in Saved Games\DCS\Config, and the scratchpad folder with 0000.txt, the lua in scripts/hooks and the scratchpad folder in scripts. Then used the Draken35 download and the new 02-QWERTY KEYBOARD and LOAD COORDINATEs.lua. Still no joy. When I watch it loading waypoints, I can watch the entries in the UFC and the first ones are all ERROR, then it moves onto the next waypoint and enters them from there. I have noticed it is entering the feet, but not the coordinates. 20240819_093304.mp4
  3. That is the version (0.7.0.240617a) I have and downloaded it from Draken35. I will look at the other two, thanks.
  4. Scratchpad is often skipping the first entry in the FA-18. A couple of times it did work, but I don't know what I changed to make it work. I use it in VR and get 10 GPS locations from F10 map, then when I set up the DDI into HSI and data and select precise I select a starting waypoint such as 10. Then when I click to import the waypoints, it will skip the first one, in this case 10, but then enter the rest correctly. So, if I had 10 waypoints, I would get 9. To manually solve it, I duplicate the first waypoint and start one waypoint earlier, so in this case waypoint 9. Then 10 through 19 will import.
  5. So, you are using hand controllers? I see so many reports of issues with them. If not, uncheck use hand controllers.
  6. I never noticed, I need to look at that.
  7. QLED, my final decision was that Pimax said that the QLED would be ready first, has the most orders. And took WipeOut's advice on the FOV. I assume we will be able to buy the other at a later date as they are interchangeable lenses. Going to need a 5090 I think.
  8. That's right, and I gave him good advice as did speed, and this thread is not about your ego either. He has been playing for 20 years and was complaining about being able to see the flaps of an F86 which is not a hard look in any chair for someone young and having full movement of their backs and necks. I didn't nullify your advice by commenting on it, I added a different perspective. VR headsets are not like a pilot's helmet:
  9. I'm using it with a 3080ti
  10. I was having issues with H264+ and switched to AV1. All these systems get update which leave our older processors behind.
  11. Some of us don't have the necks and backs of a 25yo. I have titanium and stainless steel in my spine, not super flexible.
  12. What codec are you using and is your PC the 9700? I use godlike with the 3080ti and i9-10900k and the AV1 codec. I also use process lasso and a cpu program that disables core parking Troubleshooting advice is to use lower setting and see if it goes away and use AV1.
  13. I can't say for sure as I was changing settings around and trying out QuadViews. I didn't notice blurry guages with QV prior to the patch but was obvious after the patch. I removed QV and the guages were back to normal. Other than that I haven't noticed it. What headset and how is it connected?
  14. I found that AV1 worked much better for me than H264+. The question really is if 200mbps which seems to be the max for VD in AV1 can be improved to 500 and is there even a need for it. With which codec?
  15. I didn't ask but someone had on the same day I was looking and while everyone else's question were being answered his was ignored, twice. So I didn't want to ask myself. You can change the Streamer App to H264+ and I think that goes to 4 or 500. I think the WiFi connection speed is not the same as data transfer speed when including the codec processing. I also have 2,400 mbps and think 200mbps on the AV1 codec is pretty low. I know the app sets the actual speed when first starting and there is a setting in the streamer app to auto adjust the bit rate. You might try the Discord, I searched and found nothing but the unanswered question I mentioned above.
  16. I'm not understanding some basics of MOD's if someone could explain it to me. I installed the OMM and it seems to have worked the way I thought it would and moved the 3 directories of a MOD to the DCS install directory (E:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\bin-mt). But the MOD did not show in game. Then I re-read the MOD requirements and it's supposed to go into the saved games folder. So, I copied the MOD to the saved games folder (E:\Saved Games\DCS\Mods\tech\476RangeTargets). And that worked just fine. I suspect it's the type of MOD that is the issue? Some go in saved games, and some go in the game install directory? How does this get handled in OMM if I also need future mods to go into the game directory? The download from 476th Rangers say "Apply to the DCS Saved Games folder of your DCS installation(s). Packed for use with OvGME provided you have an OvGME profile set up for the DCS Saved Games folder."
  17. I think my interest is in the new MR face plate and if it will include hand tracking. Seems like a missed opportunity if they don't include it.
  18. I think with each update, our systems are being tasked even harder and yours and mine are older and falling behind. How are you connecting to the game and what are those settings as well as the game settings? The recommended Meta Link connection is 72hz and push the slider to the right to get 1.3 PD and leave the game at 1.0 PD. Do you use QuadViews, as that can help reduce the demand on the GPU but does task the CPU. Click the preset for VR and try that, if that is fine then gradually increase settings. Another helpful app is Process Lasso, you can assign DCS to a few cores and give it a high priority.
  19. I wouldn't get Intel right now due to the issues that all 13th and 14th gen are having. Intel says it's a microcode problem and are putting out a fix this month but since the issue was not handled well and is breaking the CPU's to the point that Intel has extended the warranty time. If you insist on Intel the i7-14700k but I'd go for the i9-14900k. It runs hot and sucks power. It's also might die from the previously mentioned issue. Also it's at the end of its socket life, so no upgrades where as AMD AM5 is upgradeable for a couple years.
  20. Thanks, I 'll take a look tomorrow at it.
  21. Ok, so all I had to do was open the training mission in the mission editor, open each Mk83 and 84 and look at the fuse and save. No actual changes were made and it worked.
  22. Which is why I was asking; I could not find it in a search because there are a lot of threads on CCIP Bombing. Thanks...
  23. I'm sure this must have been in an update since the included training mission "CCIP Bombing Mode" but also occurs with an instant action. I am new to bombing in the FA-18 so I decided to start with the training mission, but options on the left DDI are not there to select nose. I have looked at Chucks Guide also on page 374 and followed those instructions. I know things have changed and Chucks Guide is dated 6/23. Can someone point me to a how too? I watched a couple videos, and they had the option for nose too.
  24. I think default though I only tried it briefly and was watching the DCS overlay and went solid CPU bound and dropping frames. Do you have any starting suggestions for the settings? I'll give it another try tonight.
