On schedule for a Q3 release, which means there are only 2 full weeks left. Not saying it's impossible, but when I look at how ED has done pre-release sales it makes me wonder if the playbook is now changing. Instead of waiting, painfully 1+ months for release the new trend will be a couple of weeks of tolerable waiting and no pre-release sale?

There was hype about a Q3 release though. Don't know what happened to that.... (no I am not new here. :P)

Considering that it usually takes a month for pre-sale before release I would be inclined to say that a Q3 release is not looking likely now.

I can't seem to find the post about 2.5 being delayed from last year. I bring this up because I don't recall them ever locking in on a guaranteed release for this year either. Things seem to be open ended at the moment regarding 2.5...

Hmmm I know it's probably unlikely, but I wonder if the carrier DLC will be available at the time of the Su-33 release. If so I would assume the announcement of the Su-33 would have included it also.

I agree the latest patch is very good! I finally took some time to get reacquainted with the black shark after several months and I was blown away with a simple fly around the Normandy map. ED is really on track to a best sim ever with the recent progress.

I believe they always try to eliminate them, but sometimes they creep up on certain configurations.

I believe the majority of us here subscribe to the calendar year though. If I was interested a monetary ROI then maybe the fiscal calendar would be what I would follow.
