Right now, if you create a Unit composed of multiple Type Example: Type1: APC Type2: APC Type3: Strella Type4: T-55 Type5: T-55 Type6: Shillka If i want to randomize my mission. Or later decide that the Strella makes the mission too hard and want to remove it. My options are: What would be nice, is if in said example, i could select Type 3 (strella) and simply "remove it" from the Unit without messing up the name, triggers, order and so forth. Saves a lot of time when you have 3 layers of random in multiple configuration and you suddenly need to make a change. Cheers,

I have found a way to add windshield wiper bounce.

Ahh man, don't get me started... ;)

Kind of an old post coming back to life... Originally, i wasn't really bothered by this issue. Belsimtek decided on a model and that's that. However, as of late, i've been flying the Tiger a lot and i'll have to switch camp on this one. A refueling Probe would be greatly appreciated. The Tiger is so fun to fly, it just wants to be kept in the air more. Every mission flown with it lasts for about 15 to 20 minutes, tops. After which, it needs to come home to rearm and refuel. Having this option could yield longer experiences and more complex missions. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=roBkQKvPHSc Just my input. Cheers,

Been looking around the internet for the look and feel of The Straight of Hormuz, just North-East of Dubai. I didn't know much of that area, but i'm really liking it, judging by photographs. Very high and steep elevations. Full Rock faces and lots of water access.

I don't really get the need for civilian traffic. We have war planes. But no War Theaters (other than Caucassus). As cool as Nevada looks, with its training range and all; any kind of "mission" makes very little sense in there. I'm sorry but flying over Las Vegas every time i have to do a CAS or CAP mission kind of breaks the experience a bit. /rant

The Nevada map has a lot of static ground objects that are much more up-to-date. There's a good chance these will become animated/available once 2.5 happens (1.5 and 2 are merged). There's hoping...

Addon Tents, Watchtower, UH-1-Cargo

Quick question; Is there a way to include these in a mission (.miz) so that anyone running the mission have these added automatically? -
In my last 2 online sessions (aerobatics), i could not make contact with the Boom; it would not move from the pre-contact position while in a turn. Very strange.

Thanks for the server guys. Had my first experience there tonight with a friend; A10c flight for the blue team. Beat'up Novo for an hour. Cheers.

As a feature, i believe the Ground Crews should be attached to the planes as products. Part of the production of a Plane should include the liveries and the "necessary" Ground Crews. A good example (that i know of) is the Belsimtek F5E. It requires so much interaction with the Ground Crew to operate (power, air, wheel chokes). As per suggestion by OP, i believe each Plane should come with its Ground Crew "material". Having Characters appear disappear is not a big issue (to me). But having them operate around the aircraft would create SO MUCH more immersion (than there already is). The reason why i bring this up (and make a long post about it) is because, part of the issue with Ground Crews is, they take space on the tarmak and that can become an issue for setups in Editor. If the Plane's "creators" were to include all the necessary Ground Crew; their models, animation, movements. Their movements and size and position could all be taken into consideration within a set bounding box. Which is pre-calculated when placing stuff in the editor. So wherever the plane appears (pre-selected takeoff position, parking spot and so on), the ground crew would always appear at the same place -in relation to the plane- and do their thing. Anyways, though i'd share. Cheers, And +1 and Rep to the OP.

Just a quick "Thank you" message to player "Samoht" flying a F15c on Virtual-Aerobatics 2.0 last evening. No comms, just pretty damn fun formation flying. You sir, are a pretty good pilot! (I'm "Player" in the F5) Check my twitch for that feed if you want. My POV is there.

Issue: This causes any plane positioned above Pre-Contact Boom position, at time of RefuelComplete, to be literally pushed out of the way of the boom. Depending on the player's plane position and current flight adjustment, can have a catastrophic result. Planes can be pushed upward, downward, left or right. If formation flying with other planes and Tanker, it can result in mid-air collision. The proper behavior should be: This leaves room for the pilot to get the message, move his aircraft out of the way and proceed with mission. Supportive video (thank you user "SCU"): (2:40): Tested with A10c. Saw happen to 1 F15c (i do not own this plane). Tested Online and Offline. Repro 1. Formation flight with Tanker 2. Request Refuel (F6-F1) 3. Get in position below Boom nozzle 4. Open necessary Refueling apparatus (hatch + NoseWheel= Ready message) 5. "Ready Pre-Contact" (F6-F1) / Make connection 7. Remain at Pre-contact or above altitude with Tanker. 8. At RefuelComplete: feel the hate.

Turning Tanker will not refuel planes. I do not own the F15c. I only tested numerous times with the A10c. If someone can confirm or deny with F15c or other Boom-Specific air frames, please be my guest. Repro steps: 1. Formation flight with Tanker 2. Request Refuel (F6-F1) 3. Get in position below Boom nozzle 4. Open necessary Refueling apparatus (hatch + NoseWheel= Ready message) 5. Wait for Tanker to enter Racetrack Turn 6. Once Tanker is in turn; "Ready Pre-Contact" (F6-F1) 7. During Turn, the Boom doesn't maneuver to connect to Refuel Port. Trying to connect will only have you bounce around the boom. Testing the same repro steps during Level Flight, the Boom maneuvers immediately and makes contact and initiates refuel. Note: If plane is already connected and taking fuel as the Tanker initiates its Racetrack Turn, the refueling and Boom tracking continues. The issue only occurs if you are no already connected. Tested numerous times online in private sessions and at http://www.virtual-Aerobatics.com Servers (1.5 and 2.0). First noticed this behavior during the Georgian Hammer CA campaign.

Hey guys, I appreciate the comments about how to become better at refueling and the proper position to have. However, the procedure for disconnect is not supported in DCS (i spoke to an active pilot two days ago). The proper behavior upon disconnect, from a BOOM-operated tanker, is for the operator to remove the boom from the plane and assure a safe distance for the plane to depart. As mentioned in my earlier comment, the boom in DCS returns to its pre-contact position immediately. So if you are done refueling and in a higher position, you're done for: which is not proper procedure. This is not a big deal if by yourself. I just did some refueling with 3 other planes in formation. It wasn't a very nice experience. And there was no wind. And it was day-time. Now picture a less-friendly environment to refuel and the plane was clean... Here are bugs i have identified and tested: The proper behavior should be: This leaves room for the pilot to get the message, move his aircraft out of the way and proceed with mission. I will fill that in the bugs in the appropriate forum section.

I support this. Options i see being useful: Condition: Between Time X and Y (24hours format) Condition: On date X (Year, Month, day) Condition: Between date X and Y (as above)

Most work. I twitch them later. Others, after a while, simply fail at some point. My latest is a refueling practice. After leaving the tanker, my Hawg just goes down and crash... Its really hit and miss i suppose.

I've been doing a few test flights while editing missions ('cause the ME in VR is really painful). Oh my god, is it boring. The game is... well it's a completely different game with VR isn't it?

This should be fun. I'm ready

Hey guys, My Warthog Joystick pretty much gave up yesterday. It happened suddenly while in flight with a P-51. The joystick became super loose, with no resistance in pitch and roll. I'm sure there's a way to somehow open this up and fix it. But i'm a bit lazy and decided to order a new one. I was wondering if someone knew of a market for these things?
