X65F's are relatively cheap now that the Warthog is available. It's also a great HOTAS. The only reason the Warthog surpasses it in DCS A10 at the moment is the native compatibility with the game. I have both and rate them even stevens overall.

Flanker would be really really cool!!! I said it before and I'll say it again. It was the Flanker who started this whole franchise and it should get it's place in it as a study version.

Delete the Throttle-HOTAS Warthog file in C:\Users\xxxx\Saved Games\DCS Warthog\Config\Input\A-10C\joystick You will have to reconfigure everything by hand then though.

How long after the Cougar the Warthog emerged? 10 years or was it more? Doubtful they will bring out something new in time for the next DCS module. They should use the moddable nature of the stick and just bring out different sticks more often though, not full hotas solutions.

Realistically the AC130 has zero A2A capability. It can only deploy it's weapons in a small cone shape area leaving roughly a 80% blind side. I agree though that once it has you locked up and you do not get out of that firing zone you prob will be toast. but Talking under correction, it does not have radar, possibly only RWR and it's a huge target that can be seen much farther away than 15nm for sure, making it easy to track without radar. So for a small fighter attacking it it will only know about you if you use your radar (which would be stupid) or they see you (small fighter, highly unlikely) or AWACS tells them in which case you will have to deal with a CAP yourself in anycase. The chances of one operating where there is a hostile A2A threat is certainly zero me thinks anyway! It's too much of an asset with too many lifes to risk like that.

Negative, all that lever does is transfer hydraulic control for the brakes to the other system. It will do ziggalo as a parking brake!

The A10 does not have enough speed to make toss bombing quite that effective. You would prob get more standoff distance by bombing from altitude than trying to lobb bombs from down low.

The X65 takes some getting used to but once you do I have not had a more precise stick (including the Warthog) than the X65. You just think the manoeuvre and it happens exactly like you wanted to. There's two reasons why mine is in the cupboard right now. a) I used to let my palm rest on the palm rest on the stick while flying straight and level. This will cause an input on the 65F and thus you consciously need to not do this. b) I have a Warthog as well and the custom integration with DCS A10 trumps the X65F at this stage.

You need to manually turn the props through a few times after shutdown on the Jetstream 41 to prevent shaft bowing.

Weather it a little and it would be awesome. Little bit too clean at the moment. Good work though!!!! :thumbup:

What exactly is wrong with it? Remember, the aircraft in FC is the A model, not the C.
