I know there's comms with the GC already, what I meant was that they should just add the chocks option and you control that then with GC comms.

What was your AoA and speed? There's limitations to what it can do and under what circumstances it will engage. You did not by any chance move the controls? I saw last night I was unable to engage the AP in ALT mode when the refueling door was open. Is this correct?

I vote chocks and thus intercom comms with your ground crew as well!

how does flight model compare to Real Life?
RogueRunner replied to hannibal's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Nope, in my case, feet were on the floor, not touching the rudders and by moving the stick I had roll authority, very little and sluggish yes but still there. So unless there is some coupled connection between the rudders and ailerons this should not be possible. -

It won't fly, that's for certain!! :music_whistling::music_whistling: -
If they make a fully functional 3D pit I would MAYBE look at it again but otherwise I will get my button pushing kick in the DCSA10 thank you very much!

HUD speed indictator showing something else?
RogueRunner replied to Jamesp1's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
To get rid of the R speed just press the OSB next to the DTOT on the right MFD usually. -

Since the father of the SU27 passed away it would be a good tribute to him by doing the SU27 in the next module after this one following A10. And since it was a flanker that got this whole thing going waay back, the choice is easy me thinks!! nudge nudge wink wink

Falcon 4 was a milestone in Sims some 10 years ago...
RogueRunner replied to tigertoo's topic in Chit-Chat
It had a DC?!? Fark man, it was buggy as hell when released and it's still as unstable as then in DC mode. -
Correction, zooming in about with TIR will not resize the hud fonts and can lead to the problems discussed here. Zooming in with the keyboard will zoom and unzoom the ext also.

Need Cougar HOTAS Replacement Part
RogueRunner replied to key_stroked's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
The warthog S2 should fit!! Same button or is it not? Ask them for that and try it, should not be that expensive but being TM you never know :P -
Using Marks to prosecute multiple targets in one pass.

Using Marks to prosecute multiple targets in one pass.
RogueRunner replied to Dropbear's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
This used to work for me in B3 but tried it again in final a few nights back and it did not work for me anymore. Did not try all that hard though and I thought I missed a step somewhere and would try again some time. It seems though that something has changed in the final regarding this SOP. Was useful in the past. I could kill a bunch of tanks with one pass with mavericks after I marked their positions from a safe distance first. -
You do not say what speed you are doing but it could also be VRS.

There's nutjobs on here that wants to pay double the asking price as is :megalol: The price is set in stone me thinks and nothing you or me or anybody for that matter say will have any affect on it. So it depends on how badly you want it then :music_whistling: My opinion, it's pricey but do not feel like I have been done in when using the software, ie price is justified.

FSX will actually teach you some bad habits which you will have to UNLEARN once you get into the real aircraft. It's good as a systems trainer though. Over here, South Africa, if you shake a tree a comm pilot drops out of it so the market here is completely saturated. Donno the situation in your neck of the woods however  It's a lovely way to make a living if you have the passion for it and can progress up the foodchain relatively quickly also. Your math is not a big problem but mental arithmetic can help immensely later on when you start doing IF training.

f... yeah, now you are talking. :joystick: I bought the Warthog, hoping that TM learned something from their previous mistakes but sadly it seems they just do not care. Luckily though, it seems they are changing faulty units around for new ones. As to getting feedback from them about why, good luck on that one :megalol:

Why do people call it a RC still!! It's the freaken final for pete's sake!!! B4 was the last release to joe soap, there was never a public RC released!

I'm busy building a MP mission for use in a MP session. JTAC is on freq 33FM. My question is if one player contact JTAC on the correct frequency will all players with their FM radios tuned to 33 hear the conversation?

TM built quality?!? Now there's a laugh! Although I own a Warthog, a Cougar and a bunch other TM gear, built quality is not a word that immediately springs to mind thinking about them. The Cougar had pot issues, the Warthog suffers from poor CMOS quality in the throttle leading to high failure rates and the early versions of the MFD's also had high button failures. . History keeps on repeating themselfs with TM. That been said, when they work it's a pleasure using them. I owe a X65F also btw. Cannot fault that stick at all.

Dude!!! Did you delete the warthog joystick file in ..\DCS A-10C\Config\Input\Aircrafts\A-10C\joystick like I said you should!! It WILL solve your problem, go ahead, try it!!! If that doesn't work then delete the warthog joystick file in C:\Users\name\Saved Games\DCS Warthog\Config\Input\A-10C\joystick and remap all the functions by hand for the joystick! Leave the throttle file in place as that is a whole nother ballgame to remap yourself. The joystick however is quick and fast to redo yourself. Look on page 84 of the manual to get the controls to each button.
