  1. How do I put A ground EWR unit down for USA?
  2. I've done that 10 times already. It simply is not working! My 2 alpha NTTR map is going at 98KB/s, at that rate I will be able to play in a year maybe!
  3. The new updater just do not work for me. Trying to install the P51 into 1.5 and for 2 days now cannot get past halfway. Very very very frustrating. Please give us another option to do updates!!!!!!
  4. Same here, was getting 24KB/s with the torrent swarm but since they did the new updater which uses HTTP if there is no data on the swarm it speeded up significantly. Tried to update for two days straight before that!!!! So if your are still trying, stop, restart and it shoud download the new updater and you should be good to go.
  5. yeah seriously, a video promo for voice comms and the music over powers everything
  6. No you won't, indicated airspeed stays the same, groundspeed however, will increase. Another example, if you fly along at 50mph in a piper cub, no wind. Your airpseed indicator will read 50mph and your groundspeed will be 50mph. Now if you have a headwind of 50mph, your airpseed indicator still indicates 50mph, your groundspeed will be zero, ie hangin still to someoone standing on the ground but you will not stall, it will happily just hang there in the air to an observer on the ground.
  7. Yup, gear lever in the middle. I just read another thread that said only the keyboard command work now and that it's not 'p' anymore but 'c' so since I've been using a button on my hotas and when that did not work pressed 'p' I will have to retest this issue. 3 - 5 min sure makes me think I am to quick to switch it on then so will retest this again also with a longer warm up period. Thanx for the input.
  8. Using 1.5 open beta I have a short mission, scramble from the ramp to intercept a B52. So after the engine is running I flip the radar master switch to standby. Then taxi to the runway, short taxi and takeoff with a AB climb to 3000m. When I switch the radar on the CRT brightens but there is no TDC and no ground clutter return. So, is there is minimum warm up period and I somehow not allowing enough time to warm up? Regarding the CO2, when I am on the runway the level still sits around 10. After takeoff and I retracted the gear that drops to about 3. After I land there is never enough left to pop the chute. Missing something here?
  9. Yeah, they should pull the video tutorial that's out there now since it most certainly do not work like that anymore.
  10. That's a compresser stall not overheating. Do not think overheating and hotstarts as such are implemented yet.
  11. That tutorial does not work with the latest version of the Mig15. You need number ground power for it to start which is not mentioned in this video. Also, apparently, battery switch is left off in the real aircraft when you connect ground power and ignition switch switched off after engine start. There is a good post from a real life Mig 17 driver in the general section. Real good read.
  12. You might want to google hotsstarts on jet engines :music_whistling:

  15. Very impressive. One thing I will change though is the joystick :P
  16. The problem with a simulation is that you react on visual cues, ie the nose going this or that way on takeoff. In the real world you'd feel that long before you see it and correct accordingly. In the sim however you are kinda behind, ie things already happened when you get round to correct it hence the unusual oscillation some make on their takeoff runs.
  17. What causes that? Every time you put some g's on the aircraft it makes this whining sound. It's in the DCS sound set and clearly audible on cockpit youtube videos of the real Mustang. Anyone have an idea?
  18. Nice trick you pulled there with the MFD's and the Saitek throttle. Might steal your idea there :)
  19. I have both the warthog and X65F. You'll get used to it within the day, took me just about an hour if I remember correctly. Now using the warthog since I did for the A10, and no use switching to the saitek right now.
  20. And this morning they fixed my line. Apprently a linebreak 600m from my house. Reported the 5th and fixed on the 17th, not bad
  21. Well, last night, still without DSL ofcourse, I used my iphone's hotspot feature to connect my mac to it and used it's internet sharing over ethernet to activate the P51. Yay!!!! Very impressed with the initial impression, now I need to unpack my Warthog and put away my Saitek Yoke to fly the Mustang for awhile, meaning my NGX and CRJ (which I also just bought yesterday) will have to be parked for a little while.
  22. My first takeoff was hilarious, wish I saved that track :D It did not go well.
  23. Allegedly "Hartlike goeie môre radar, comair 618, Pan, pan, pan...":lol::lol::lol:
  24. :megalol: Also love this aircraft and since it's the only one I can fly at the moment in the DCS world until helkom fixes my DSL line I'm having a blast. BTW, did Kalahari really make that chirp regarding the pan call the other day? Knowing him I can imagine he did. :megalol:
