Big big plus this, in the past it was a hit and miss/retry affair placing units in open areas or exactly where you wanted. This is big up for me.

I agree. In the UI there is a tickbox, ala Falcon 4, which when clicked prob just takes the current output value of the joystick and put it into a variable which is then used throughout to determine when you go into AB/WEP. Cannot see it being such a big time investment issue.

I know one was lost due to SAM action, another badly damaged but made it home only to overun the runway on landing (no hydraulics) whereupon the seat malfunctioned and the pilot was ejected and subsequently became a quadriplegic. He was a very successful motivational speaker after that. I seem to remember there were a gun kill on a mig but I cannot verify this. My Seattle does not have the highrise buildings but settings are pretty much maxed out. Anything I miss somewhere or did they come with the new update.

The wear and tear model that A2A offers is a big plus for me. This band spanking new aircraft each time you climb into the thing is one of the big things that annoys me immensely.

If you use the whole runway you are too fast over the fence or still very very heavy.

Shilkas are a non event really. They are as accurate as my dog except from maybe a headon pass. BMP's however are a totally different kitty all together!!!!

No issue for me. I extend airbrakes fully on landing and only need to apply a little brake and the end to turn off. This is even the case o use one of the early taxiways connected to the runway like in halfway or so. I hardly have to use brakes. Get your approach speed right, centre ball on the AoA indexer and extend airbrakes fully on touchdown. If she runs away on taxi you are adding too much power.

Also, change to the FLIR camera rather than the TV since targets will jump out at you nicely. It's res is not as high but it's far easier spotting stuff against the background than with the TV.

Because it's a game and it's a challenge :music_whistling: There's always a way, if I put this battery on the side of a mountain and slip up on them from the other side I might get a bomb string off with success, it's a nice challenge. What people seem to forget sometimes is that this is a game, nothing more, and not real life! We can do things here that's not done by sane people in real multi million dollar jets but it makes it fun! I have no idea if this battery is setup like RL. It's from the 'real templates' someone uploaded in the mission section. The cars and radars are all bunched up together so if I can get a bombs or two loose before they lock me up there might just be a small chance of succeeding. Lets see what happens tonight :lol:

I think I mastered mavs now, I can get 6 off in about 10seks with good prep work beforehand. Now I'm onto bombs but my latest challenge is a SAM battery with bombs only. Sofar I get tagged each time. My initial altitude is around 15K but this does not work. I now want to go try a NOE approach, pop up and release but not holding thumbs much! Any other advice?

With bombs, should not be that far. Since the hog lacks the speed to do toss bombing dropping bombs is always going to be sorta close me thinks.

Donno when this changed but it was not always like this. You now cannot start without the inverters on. Very cool! For the real hog drivers, if you switch the inverter switch off and move the throttle out of cut off to start the start cycle, the engine will spin up, will the FCU spray fuel in the cans or not? If you now through the inverter and this did happen, hotstart, correct?

Guys I'm a n00b when it gets to lua editing, actually, n00b will be an insult to n00bs is where I'm at. I applied some of the edits here to get the CDU to show up on my second monitor, sofar nadda. What am I missing here? Version 1.1.0.9 mfd.lua CDU_init.lua PS EDIT It works, had a brainfart moment and was actually on 0.8 and not 0.9. ugraded to 1.0 now and apart from having had to recalculate my aspect everything now works 100%

Cool, thanx. Will then maybe try an upgrade tonight. Talking of which, is it possible to get the CDU output, ie CDU screen, exported via Helios or just with DCS itself ala the MFD's? I just want to screen on my second monitor for easy reading.
