  1. So the thing will see light of day but support afterwards will be non existent :P
  2. Chocs?!? :lookaround::lookaround:
  3. Yeah nice and fast even for me down here in the sticks. Coming down @ 1.6MB/s
  4. There is and it's a common wow ('cuse the pun) party trick with fighter jocks. Pretty awesome to look at when they get it right, downright embarrassing when they get it wrong
  5. Geez dude, where did you buy it from? You got smoked BADLY! Few of us here bought it as well and did not pay nearly that much! Sux though, would be interested to know the dialogue between you and TM. Keep us posted for future reference.
  6. They are seen as normal DX buttons in other games and can be mapped to whatever you like.
  7. Nope. Single trigger only. I had to map PAC to a button on the throttle which worked ok for me.
  8. Click on HOME at the top, USER SUPPORT and log a ticket.
  9. Yeah, it looks like Jason is reconsidering the current way of doing things, that's if I read it correctly between the lines from his post on Simhq. It's a little bit of a catch 22 though but when nobody is able to play your game because of someone else's fault it tends to make people sit up and take notice.
  10. Registration server too :( and it's kinda annoying that you cannot just resubmit your details if the connection fails, you need to retype EVERYTHING!!!
  11. yip, ie it will do bugger all to stop the aircraft from moving :D Hopefully we will have a chocks option in our not too distant future.
  12. I get the impression from the interviews with Matt that they do not even know what it'll be yet. They prob have some sort of idea but set in stone is not the 'vibe' I get.
  13. Austin is XP's biggest enemy. He changes too much to often for serious guys like PMDG to consider coding for it. Carenedo did do an aircraft for XP but they are not in the PMDG league at all. I do like XP and fly the BK117 and MU-2 but they way Austin blows his own horn and everyone else's is crap I do not appreciate. Still love it though and I think XP10 is going to be very very good! Cannot wait. shamandgg, Thanx, that BK117 and ships video is mine. I love that helicopter.
  14. Make sure you are within the cone to receive the signal. FL200 is most prob way way too high.
  15. X65F's are relatively cheap now that the Warthog is available. It's also a great HOTAS. The only reason the Warthog surpasses it in DCS A10 at the moment is the native compatibility with the game. I have both and rate them even stevens overall.
  16. :( Can you be a little less condescending please?!?
  17. By design, I think, mine does the same.
  18. Awesome video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PkwGmZ0rEPM

  19. Ok, forget the word franchise then. ED's first dab at flightsims then, the plane that started them on this road. :D I still have fond memories of the Flanker Ladder! Those were the days!
  20. I'm talking way way back. Not the DCS franchise per se but ED's very first flight sim. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Su-27_Flanker_%28video_game%29
  21. Flanker would be really really cool!!! I said it before and I'll say it again. It was the Flanker who started this whole franchise and it should get it's place in it as a study version.
  22. Delete the Throttle-HOTAS Warthog file in C:\Users\xxxx\Saved Games\DCS Warthog\Config\Input\A-10C\joystick You will have to reconfigure everything by hand then though.
  23. How long after the Cougar the Warthog emerged? 10 years or was it more? Doubtful they will bring out something new in time for the next DCS module. They should use the moddable nature of the stick and just bring out different sticks more often though, not full hotas solutions.
  24. Realistically the AC130 has zero A2A capability. It can only deploy it's weapons in a small cone shape area leaving roughly a 80% blind side. I agree though that once it has you locked up and you do not get out of that firing zone you prob will be toast. but Talking under correction, it does not have radar, possibly only RWR and it's a huge target that can be seen much farther away than 15nm for sure, making it easy to track without radar. So for a small fighter attacking it it will only know about you if you use your radar (which would be stupid) or they see you (small fighter, highly unlikely) or AWACS tells them in which case you will have to deal with a CAP yourself in anycase. The chances of one operating where there is a hostile A2A threat is certainly zero me thinks anyway! It's too much of an asset with too many lifes to risk like that.
