  1. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1114111&postcount=2 Also, just delete the Warthog Joystick file (Throttle is a seperate file) and all the keymappings will be available to you. Remapping the buttons on the joystick is quick and rather uncomplicated and took me 1 min at the most. The throttle I would not want to touch with a ten feet pole :P I installed that hotfix though and did not have one crash while doing the remmappings in the controls menu.
  2. Clouds now in final release obscure the camera, had to switch to FLIR to see a target through some clouds. Nice touch! Pity multi monitor setup is now a mayor PITA.
  3. looks like there is a crashbug if you try to assign a new button to a function that already has something assigned to it. Seems the solution is to clear the function you want to assign something to first before making the assignment.
  4. Is the IR launch detection fixed in the final release. I won't be able to test for a coupe of days still so wondering. Take up a 2 ship with a MANPAD somewhere. See if you get a launch detection when they launch against your wingie. You should!! In the BETAS you only got the launch detection when they actually fired at you!
  5. And that's cool how?!?!? Thanx for the final. I still fail to see what the big state secret was though.
  6. Your kit arrived yet? Did you get the USB monitors with that also?
  7. well, another friday has gone the way of the dodo :P Oh well, next friday then maybe :P :P
  8. It's very strange that the information dialogue from Wags just stopped completely and very abruptly.
  9. Yeah, avsim and the PMDG crowd all have big chips on their shoulders. So they make good aircraft but it went to their heads BIGTIME!! I dare you to ask about release dates in that forum :P Even an avsim admin said it will be an instant ban if you do! I mean hello!!!!! At least these okes are not there yet :D But I agree, something went FUBAR with B6 and someone told someone else lower down the food chain to not say anything yet :D
  10. Is maar 'n laaaaannnnnngggg week hierdie :P :P
  11. What's with the asskissing?!? :P :P
  12. Seriously though, I have to agree with original poster. The failure rate does seem high! Probably POC while in beta, or so I hope.
  13. Well, I just activated our 10G internet line! GIMME SOMETHING TO DOWNLOAD damnit :P
  14. Just giving you some gas :D I actually thought it was about CoD (geez, that name again :P ) but now clicked the link and saw the light :D
  15. Bucic, your sig is kinda misleading now isn't it?!? :P :P
  16. Who pays shipping?!?!? Shipping from my location and back will be 1/2 the price of a new one. Do that twice and I'm back to square one! If TM pays the shipping, then yeah sure, I agree, use and abuse the thing!
  17. RogueRunner

    x-plane 9

If you do decide on XP wait for 10. All the 10 version updates will be free then. XP is an acquired taste however. Some people hate it, others love it again. Download the demo and take it for a spin before you decide!!!!
  18. Is there anything bad that can happen if I run the Warthog stick only and my X65 throttle, ie Warthog throttle in the cupboard waiting for some word from TM?!?!?
  19. Yeah, face it, I'm nervous as hell each time I plug mine in. Like I posted elsewhere, I might bring the X65 out of the cupboard till TM gets their ducks in a row here. At least you still have to Cougar to play with as well. I am very very disappointed in the lack of communiques from TM in this regard!!
  20. Come now Grant, life is full of little challenges :P At the price you re getting it, it's worth buying it and then benching it will TM get the new software out the door.
  21. 1st and 2nd trigger for example mapped to one button.
  22. Yeah, this is one thing the DCS engine will not allow still, mapping two functions to the same button in game. Would be lovely if you can map everything in the game and not muck about with programming software for the various sticks. Never been my strong point and never will be. I stay away from using the mapping software for any of my joysticks as much as I can.
  23. I've just loaded the game last night again after about a month of not playing it and ran into the same small issue with IR missile launch detection again. I do not see this fixed in the list provided my Wags. The issue is that your launch detector will only give a warning tone to a missile launched at you. If launched at your wingie it stays silent. This should not be the case!! Hope to see it fixed in a later version then.
  24. For what they still go for right now?!? Nah!!!! :music_whistling: If you can find one for less than $100 then maybe
  25. Mine did have a teeny little bit of centre (very very small) to the left on the x axis. Solved by a 3% deadzone. The problem I had with the X65 was that I had the habit of resting my palm on the joystick base in level flight. On the X65 this will generate a force an thus cause a roll to the right. I had to teach myself to either force myself not to do it or take my hands of the stick entirely in level flight. That being said, the X65 is one fo the most precise joysticks I ever played with. With practise (and you will need practise when you start using it to reprogram your brain) you almost just think what you want done and it happens in game. Keeping constant pressure on the stick comes very naturally after a little practise and you will have precise control over the aircraft in no time flat. The top hats do need you to move your hands on the stick, you cannot simply move your fingers. It did not bother me much though!
