I do not agree with that. An avatar is a body that is specifically assigned to a person and their characteristics. Something with which you differentiate yourself from others in virtual space with distinguishable features. A VR pilot's body is the uniform representation of a body without a head in uniform aviator clothing. Personally, I will continue to use the term "VR body."

Ich habe am Freitag das Ersatzkabel bekommen. Und siehe da...es läuft wieder. Kabelbinder habe ich jetzt auch 2x an der Brille angebracht. Ich werde zukünftig auch versuchen das Kabel am Headset generell nicht zu ziehen, wenn es nicht unbedingt erforderlich ist. Schön wäre es, wenn das Kabel länger als 6 Monate hält. Ich habe es eigentlich keinen extremen Bedingungen ausgesetzt. Meine Erfahrungen mit dem HP Kundendienst (deutsch) war sehr gut. Die Damen und Herren waren recht freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Sollte man ja auch mal erwähnen, da hier der ein oder andere zugegebenermaßen recht eigentümliche Erfahrungen machen musste.

Drück Dir die Daumen. Habe aktuell das gleiche Problem. Kundenservice war sehr nett, neue Brille geschickt. Kein Erfolg. Kabel soll jetzt kommen. Warte noch.

Das ganze ist gar nicht so schwer. Zumal die Funktionen der Mi-8 sehr ähnlich sind. Ich fliege immer mit Pitch und Roll Dämpfer. Macht das Leben doch eheblich einfacher und man hat keine echten Einbußen beim fliegen. Den Yaw Dämpfer würde ich nur bei Langstrecken ohne häufige Kurswechsel benutzen. Genauso wie der Altitude Hold. Auf langen Geraden helfen die beiden sehr, sonst nerven sie nur. Die echten Piloten in der Mi-8 haben den Altitude Hold auch so gut wie nie an. Er soll in RL wohl auch ziemlich ruppig sein, was den Passagieren im Heck wohl einiges abverlangt.

Whoever was responsible for the sound of the Mi-24P: You did a great job! I feel very powerful in this magnificent, brutal machine. And I owe that above all to this powerful, impressive soundscape.

Dem kann ich nur zustimmen. Trotzdem schön, das HB wieder mal sehr detailverliebt an Sache rangegangen ist. Kann nur ein Gewinn für uns sein.

That is nice to hear. Unfortunately, I have the impression that the old models are very neglected. The flow of information is thin and the small bugs are often completely ignored for months. I actually assume that the modules will continue to be maintained and that minor bugs will be eliminated promptly. I would also like to pay money for major innovations or extensions. I'm sure other enthusiasts feel the same way.

Da ist komplette Funkstille. Ich hoffe nach der Hind und dem Apache kommt sie in 2-3 Jahren noch. Da müssen Sie nicht mehr viel neu machen. Alles wichtige gibt es dann schon. Waffen, Multiplayer, Avionik. Aber jetzt ganz neu ist die G91-R. Wusste nicht mal das es die gab. Bischen gegoogelt und die Bundeswehr hatte sie in großer Stückzahl. Was? Ok. Jetzt will ich Sie haben.

Wenn Ihr einen VR Körper implementiert, dann bin ich dabei.

Eigentlich steht es mir auch gar nicht zu ihn so zu nennen. Er ist unter dem Namen "The Fragger" hier im Forum bekannt. Da ich mich aber schon seit vielen Jahren auf die BO-105 freue und die einzelenen Fortschritte und Rückschläge seit Jahren mitverfolge, ist es ein bischen so, als ob man sich schon kennt.

Wäre eine Option. Versuche ich mal im Auge zu behalten.

Meine G2 läuft seit ca. 1 Jahr recht ordentlich. Aber von Anfang an habe ich folgendes Problemchen: Hin und wieder (2-3 mal die Stunde) wird das Display für eine halbe Sekunde blau und die Sicht zeigt willkürlich nach links oder rechts oder sonstwohin für eine Sekunde und dann zentriert sich das Bild wieder und alles ist wieder gut. Ist halt nur im Landeanflug oder bei AAR sehr blöd, weil ich dann für ca. 2-3 Sekunden ohne Orientierung bin. Die Beleuchtung ist indirekt und keine Sonneneinstrahlung vorhanden. Habt ihr das auch manchmal? Ich weiß nicht, wodurch das ausgelöst wird.

Darauf freue ich mich mehr, als auf den Apache. Und das will schon was heißen. Unbedingt. Zum Glück ist Olli drangeblieben. Ich hoffe RAZBAM macht bei dem Heli FM einen guten Job. VR-Körper machen sie ja auch ganz ausgezeichnet. Sound wird auch ganz gut werden denke ich. Die Grafik, da besteht wohl wenig Zweifel, wird richtig gut. Wer macht eigentlich das Handbuch? Baltic Dragon? Olli?

As much as I would welcome this further development, it will not really be implemented in the next 10 years. Unfortunately, comprehensive VR glasses coverage is still not technically and financially possible for everyone. Therefore, the subject is still treated very casually. But hopefully it will look different in 5 years. The VR glasses are more standard than niche and when the rapidly growing number of VR pilots notices that it looks stupid, without a body and requires a detailed body, which casts shadows, breathes and moves the hand and arm, when pressing buttons and the kneeboard can really be used on your knees, THEN the developers will start to develop it and then it will take at least another 5 years.

Schön, wenn die Partnerin sich so fürs Hobby begeistern kann... Auch ich möchte upgraden, aber die aktuellen Preise grenzen ja schon an Raub. Hoffentlich kann ED mit Vulcan ein wenig Luft im HW Sektor freischaufeln.

Personally, I think a VR body is very important. It is essential for immersion. It also gives you a feeling for the correct proportions of the aircraft and the position of the head in VR. If someone has the feeling that the VR body is constricting everything, then congratulations, now you know how a real pilot feels. That's kind of what we want, isn't it? For everyone who doesn't want the VR body, you can just turn it off. I agree that 2D users can hardly see the body and can do without it. Still. VR is the future and I love ED for recognizing and implementing it early on. I consider a module without a VR body to be incomplete and unfinished. The reason why I haven't bought the F16 yet is solely because there is no VR body. I am also annoyed that the VR body in the KA-50 was simply removed and nothing comes on request. But in a community in which it is important that every switch works exactly like in RL, how can some people do without the pilot completely? If the pilot were missing in the external model, oh what would the howling be. It is a shame, but understandable, if the body is only implemented in the final phase, but it should always be included as a standard. DCS should set standards and not be based on cheap software. I hope that some old modules like the A-10C and the Mig 21 will ever get a VR body. That was a lot of text, but that was and is an important topic to me.

Hello Polychop. The Gazelle SA342 M was available from mid-1973. The HOT 3 rockets only started in 1998. That means that the DCS is missing 25 years in which I can use the SA 343 M sensibly. Hence my request: Can you add a missile armament like HOT 2 or others? Then I can also use the SA342 M in the time frame from 1973 to 1998. That the armament does not have to be as great as the HOT 3 is logical and would not be a problem, but the timeline would be adhered to. Even if ED now wants to develop all weapons itself, can you request something or integrate an existing alternative from the time frame? I hope for an answer. Best regards.

Ob sich eine Mi-8 Staffel kurz vor dem erscheinen der Mi-24 lohnt? Eigentlich schade, jetzt wo endlich einer da ist, der sich damit auskennt. Aber in ein paar Wochen wird jeder nur die Mi-24 fliegen wollen. Selbst ED kümmert sich schon seit Jahren nicht mehr um die Mi-8. Wirklich traurig.
