  1. Looks like this will get me back into the Huey
  2. I just dropped, having eventually found the right heading and distance, but my bomb fall time was longer than the scripting allowed, so I got told off for dropping without clearance!
  3. Sorry, I used a slightly confusing phrasing there! I meant it as a compliment - in some other campaigns I have found there's sometimes one or two voiceovers that just don't sound right, or don't sound like they belong with the other voiceovers in that mission. In your campaign all the voiceovers sounded good, and like they were part of the same situation, so I was complimenting the consistency of the acting and production.
  4. I just finished the campaign last night and thought I would drop a note here to say thanks for enjoyable experience and well-made campaign. - Good voiceovers, I can't think of any that didn't feel right at all - Interesting setup and variety of tasks. Operating out of the highway strip was definitely a fun challenge. - I think it's the only commercial JF-17 campaign still, so I really appreciated having more of a reason to fly the jet. - There were a couple of times when I was not sure what was being asked of me, so maybe some of the instructions could be clearer. On the other hand I got it all figured out, so it can't have been too bad! - I don't recall encountering any bugs, big thumbs up there! - I hope to see another JF-17 campaign from you in the future, possibly using some of the more specialized weapons
  5. I bought this yesterday and this morning for setting the islands in crappy spring weather in the Apache, that felt pretty cool to me. Then I took a jf-17 from the islands to the mainland and got all excited about the possibilities for long range over water strikes. I'm happy with the purchase
  6. Outstanding, I'll fly that mission again soon. Thanks Sedlo
  7. I've also just finished, and I echo what others are saying. Really nice campaign, mission length is perfect and scenarios are all plausible. The only issue I had was some scripting or unit erros in M09, but that didn't detract from the enjoyment. Thanks Sedlo
  8. Do you mean when you move your head around the PNVS lags? If so, that is accurate, the PNVS can traverse 60° per second or something like that, so if you whip your head around it won't be able to keep up. I'm sure an extension makes it easier, but it is definitely possible without. I have a Gladiator NXT, no extension, and hovering is ok. It took a few hours to develop the right feel for it, and I was ok with the other helos already, so if this is someone's first time it will probably take a chunk more time to get to some levels of competence.
  9. I get the impression that when George stores targets that should create points in the TSD, but I can't see them in my coord list anywhere. Am I misunderstanding, or am I looking in the wrong place? BTW, loving the Apache!
  10. I'm loving the campaign, but is the AT-6 supposed to look like this?
  11. Have none of you ever seen the film Airplane?
  12. I think most people don't understand the realities of developing high complexity software these days.
  13. I've played three missions so far, and I think it's excellent. There's a great sense of atmosphere, good voice-acting and believable mission scopes. It has genuinely got my heart going coming under fire in the fragile huey as well!
  14. The trailer looks great, I'm looking forward to the release!
  15. I've had this happen a number of times now. I'm not sure if it's a specific frequency, or just something with rolling round the frequency range. I can't attach a track, but the log file is attached. dcs.log-20211231-103604.zip
  16. Hi, I think that there is an error in section three of the manual. It repeatedly includes the phrase, 'automatic load shielding'. Unless this is a particular special term used by Dassault I believe it is meant to be 'automatic load shedding' - that's the term normally used in the context of generation systems. Cheers.
  17. Never mind, figured it out: LMM - middle marker, LOM - outer marker. Just finished the campaign, can't wait for part two
  18. Loving the campaign, great work from Stone Sky! I've just started this NVG mission, and the voice over says set ARK9 to LMM and LOM. I can't see these frequencies in the briefing notes, nor on the F10 map. What frequencies should I be setting?
  19. Thanks for the response, hopefully it'll make it on to ED's fixed list soon.
  20. In the training mission the missile flies past the carrier as it is supposed to, but when it gets to within about 15 miles from the target it executes a 180° turn and goes to attack the carrier. At this point the carrier was behind the missiles field of view! Track attached. cm802-ak anti-ship issue.trk
  21. Good choice Razbam, thank you.
  22. I was going to say that's a fairly major bit of work, especially when you consider it's got to work alongside all the other simulations and bit destroy frame rates. On the other hand we already have a screen showing us the seeker's view that takes ambient light levels into account, so if it's just contrast detection this might not be a massive task. They could probably make it magic after launch if necessary without players noticing any effect.
  23. I've played the first couple of missions, and I love it. Will done Inverted! I wouldn't want every campaign from every developer to be in this style, but I'm really happy we've got this option now.
  24. Thanks for the information unlikely_spider, I understand better now.
  25. I've never used vr so I'm curious, does a vr user have their headset on all the time, even in menus? Does using vr mean your flat screen doesn't show anything at all, or could you take the headset off to do things on the F10 map before taking off?
