  1. I was getting the impression that the instability was limited to cards with 5 or 6 POSCAPs. Do you have a time stamp where he discusses your point? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  2. I wasn't planning on overclocking at all with a card as powerful as the 3090, so I suppose I should be fine. The XC3 3090 has only four POSCAPs, so I should still be able to OC if desired. It'll depend on performance in VR when I get the Reverb G2 preorder... I'm inclined to think overclocking won't make that much of a difference (not with a Ryzen 3950X, 64GB 3200MHz RAM, and DCS being stored on a Seagate Firecuda M.2 running on PCIe 4).
  3. I just watched this because the XC3 is the 3090 that FalconNW is using. Glad he was using EVGA as a good example, not a bad one. His video is of 3080's, though... I wonder what the situation is with 3090's. 4. It’s a problem with SimAppPro adding extra devices, trashing JG won’t do any good. It will still crash until he fixes the devices in vJoy Config. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  5. The only other thing I can think of right now is ALT TAB. Your complete message is hidden somewhere and if you fiddle around enough you’ll find a way. I’m sorry but I can’t help anymore right now, getting ready for work. Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  6. I think I remember this better now. The devices are showing because at this point, vJoy IS installed. Click the cancel button. I think you’ll see your complete message then. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  7. Don’t understand that either, but you can check the Windows Game Controllers panel or use JoyIDs (which is what I use) to see the controllers that are connected. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  8. Try canceling from Task Manager. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  9. That’s because they’re still showing to Windows. To fix that you need to delete them in vJoy Config. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  10. Joystick gremlin issue I’ve had that happen where it appears to hang. You can just right click on the taskbar and close the install program and it should be fine. Your install complete message is hidden behind another window I think. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  11. You may have missed where I said to run vJoy config and to reset your desired vJoy devices. [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  12. I wasn’t aware. I don’t know if there’s a good reason to use it, though. I fly only in VR and don’t need the APU light. I set my AB curves inside DCS. Is there any other capability that makes using it worthwhile? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  13. You have the Winwing HOTAS, right? This is why I uninstall SimAppPro. When it opens it creates three vJoy devices that are all the same and JG can’t deal with it. I recommend setting your desired backlighting in SimAppPro and then closing it. After that, go into vJoy Config and fix your desired vJoy devices... just make sure they have a different number of axes or buttons from each other (I only use one device, so I’m fine). After that, if you ever open SimAppPro again you will have to repeat the process. I chose instead to update firmware, set my backlighting, and uninstall it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  14. IMO, the best thing about the Obutto is the keyboard tray. That’s something I had to overcome in choosing MT. I keep my keyboard on the left side and put it in my lap when typing. I bought a small lap desk in the event I need more stability. I may scrap using the MFDs and ICP (difficult to hit in VR) and mount the MTX desk in its place. That would require unmounting my center stick grip and extension when using it, so I’m hesitant. If you only have one set of controls, the Obutto may well be ideal, and for sticks it was. Throttles were a different story. The only throttle that would work without modifications to the mount was the Cougar throttle... all others were ergonomic problems (WH and VPC throttles). This matter became worse when Winwing came along as I had to design my own mount from wood, and then later tried making my own cockpit. Neither were satisfying. Another ergonomic issue for me, especially since I have a bad knee, was the low height of the Obutto. The MT cockpit is noticeably higher and therefore easier for me to enter and exit. The pedal tray is very adjustable, but for my comfort I had to raise it up about 100cm in front (I want to rest my right forearm on my thigh when using center stick). The back portion raised higher without issue, but for the front I had to jury rig it with longer bolts and some spacers. I have a few 100cm profiles I ordered from 8020.net, and plan to put them in place the next time I need to adjust anything. Adjusting the position of any component of the cockpit is fairly easy, just loosen a bolt, adjust position, and tighten back. This customization is the main thing that sold me on MT. While the Obutto can customize control positions, it’s very limited and outclassed by MT. As for the seat, yes I purchased it on my own. The one I chose was made by Bestop for a Jeep Wrangler. I wanted to avoid racing seats because I find the shoulder bolsters to interfere with movement in VR, especially when trying to flip switches at the rear of the cockpit with PointCTRL. I found it on Amazon for around $340. That right there is why I wanted to stop having to build stuff to adapt my controls, whether for the Obutto or a homemade cockpit. I was spending more time in the garage than in the man cave. I hope I helped you. [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  15. I’ve been very happy with my Monstertech rig (I created a thread a while back). However if cost is your concern, you may need to look elsewhere. This rig was about twice the cost of the Obutto (which I’ve also used). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  16. I don't recommend a racing seat for VR use. The shoulder bolsters always seem to get in my way, especially when trying to reach switch panels behind the seat, using PointCTRL. I got a Bestop seat made for a Jeep Wrangler (and I'm a Ford guy, have a Bronco First Edition reserved!)
  17. The part circled in yellow. The bolt that screws into it will snap the gray metal in half if the toe brake is pushed down on it. It won't happen when new, but will eventually wear down the metal and snap it in half.
  18. I have both the TM and the VPC rudders. The TMs have a weak point in the connection between the toe brake and the hall sensor... the metal is very then and I've had it break a few times and had to get replacement parts from TM. I mostly gave up on it and ordered the VPC ACE2 rudders, and haven't had an issue with them.
  19. If the money is not an issue for you, I’d recommend instead of getting the TM Hornet grip, get the RealSimulator Hornet grip. Each button is a five way hat, and the stick has Bluetooth built-in. I use the BT connection for buttons, and have it mounted on my T-50CM2 base for x and y axis movement. 20. I’ve been trying it lately... my conclusion is that it’s generally not worth the fumbling around that is necessary. [emoji31] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  21. Man what happened Their app is only required to adjust backlight. After that you can uninstall. I should clarify on vJoy... I have one device set up for my JG profile. When opening SimAppPro, it creates two additional devices and they all are the same. If you try to open JG with multiple vJoy devices that are the same, it crashes. So I used to have to recreate my vJoy devices after I was done with SimAppPro. After a firmware update to the throttle that lets it remember backlighting, this is no longer an issue as I can uninstall SimAppPro. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  22. TBH it’s the best throttle I’ve ever used in 27 years of flight simming. I understand the hesitation. I had a bit of it, but I ordered on the first batch, day 1, because what I’d seen convinced me it would be a great product. That said, as for their software, I’m not comfortable with it because it messes with vJoy and doesn’t tell you. I didn’t know until Joystick Gremlin wouldn’t load. I then set my backlight level and uninstalled it, and haven’t had a single issue since. You’ve made a good point about some of the ethical issues surrounding reviews. I think some of that awkward start came about because of language barriers. But I agree if you’re being asked to accept payment for a positive review, that’s bad. I just wouldn’t write the actual product off the way you seem to have. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

  25. RealSimulator FSSB-R3 and F16SGRH It can draw power from any base that has the TM style connector: ie TM, Virpil, or RealSimulator. No battery. The CE also comes with a 5pin to USB cable to provide direct power in case you want to mount it to a base of your own design, and has X Y and Z axis sensors built in.
