  1. Just rewatched Lowblow’s video and I have a question he doesn’t address: Do the antenna knob have a center detent? The range knob seems to, and you indicate above that the BP2 knob (the potentiometer on the base) does.
  2. This could end up being a permanent solution for me instead of switching throttles around… especially given my already high opinion of RS products.
  3. I’ll ask them, thanks. My issue isn’t game specific, it’s on the Windows level. I suspect it’s an issue with Razer’s drivers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  4. Any idea when this update will be available? Reducing the amount of HID devices would help me massively. If I have more than two Razer devices plugged in, other devices will disconnect. I had to sacrifice my Tartarus Pro in order to keep my Winwing combat panel working. I currently have 10 HID devices connected: FSSB R3L (x2), F16SGRH CE (x2), TUSBA R2, Winwing takeoff and combat panels, TPR rudders, Total Controls MFBB, and Razer Huntsman v2 Analog.
  5. I think everything in Assist, General, Kneeboard, and the View categories should be under UILayer, TBH. It would make handling multiple aircraft much easier.
  6. So with UILayer available, could I, for instance, set up kneeboard commands in UILayer, and then make the same button combo control it for every aircraft?
  7. I'm happy to report that this does indeed work in VR for uploading. I had to ALT TAB so VR was out of focus and I could then do the upload. I haven't tried the map in VR... I think it may only work in 2D. If so, you'd probably have to load your mission first and plan what steerpoints you want to create, save them in the DTC, and then relaunch DCS in VR.
  8. Thanks, that seems to have covered it. Am I to understand that we can now create killboxes in the DTC by skipping a STPT? Cool! I was about to report that the CMDS wouldn't upload correctly, but then realized I was loading the DTC before the CMDS was turned on. After doing that, it worked. I look forward to other theater's airbases being added. What I did in the meantime was to add the touchdown points of every friendly base runway in my Liberation campaign, so if a base has no ILS and the weather's bad, I can still find my way home.
  9. Thanks for the uploading info. I’m trying to use steerpoints 81-99 and get an unhandled exception error when it tries to upload. See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box. ************** Exception Text ************** System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DTC.Models.F16Upload.BuildWaypoints(StringBuilder sb, Int32 wptStart, Int32 wptEnd) at DTC.Models.F16Upload.Load(Boolean waypoints, Int32 wptStart, Int32 wptEnd, Boolean radios, Boolean cms, Boolean mfds) at DTC.UI.F16.UploadToJetPage.btnUpload_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.OnClick(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Button.OnClick(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Button.OnMouseUp(MouseEventArgs mevent) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WmMouseUp(Message& m, MouseButtons button, Int32 clicks) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.ButtonBase.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Button.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam) ************** Loaded Assemblies ************** mscorlib Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.8.4400.0 built by: NET48REL1LAST_C CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/Microsoft.NET/Framework64/v4.0.30319/mscorlib.dll ---------------------------------------- DTC Assembly Version: 1.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 1.0.0.0 CodeBase: file:///E:/Games/DCS/Mods/F-16C/DTC/DCS-DTC-1.0.0/DTC.exe ---------------------------------------- System.Windows.Forms Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.8.4400.0 built by: NET48REL1LAST_C CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Windows.Forms/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Windows.Forms.dll ---------------------------------------- System Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.8.4360.0 built by: NET48REL1LAST_C CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Drawing Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.8.4390.0 built by: NET48REL1LAST_C CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Drawing/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a/System.Drawing.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Configuration Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.8.4190.0 built by: NET48REL1LAST_B CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Configuration/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a/System.Configuration.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Core Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.8.4390.0 built by: NET48REL1LAST_C CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Core/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Core.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Xml Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.8.4084.0 built by: NET48REL1 CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Xml/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Xml.dll ---------------------------------------- Newtonsoft.Json Assembly Version: 13.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 13.0.1.25517 CodeBase: file:///E:/Games/DCS/Mods/F-16C/DTC/DCS-DTC-1.0.0/Newtonsoft.Json.DLL ---------------------------------------- System.Numerics Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.8.4084.0 built by: NET48REL1 CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Numerics/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Numerics.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Runtime.Serialization Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.8.4250.0 built by: NET48REL1LAST_C CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Runtime.Serialization/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Runtime.Serialization.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Data Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.8.4270.0 built by: NET48REL1LAST_C CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_64/System.Data/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Data.dll ---------------------------------------- ************** JIT Debugging ************** To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this application or computer (machine.config) must have the jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section. 10. I know you said the video is outdated, but could you give a quick explanation on how to start and start capture of coordinates? I'm wondering if this is a way to do it without typing them out manually. Also, is there a way to change the assigned steerpoint number so it doesn't interfere with the mission's flight plan?
  11. Wow. I will definitely try this out today. I've been on a Viper kick the past several weeks, even got my Cougar throttle/TUSBA & Cubpilot HS working again and did the DeltaSim slew mod. I was tired of trying to get the Winwing throttle to work well for the Viper's antenna and manual range knobs, and I've stopped using Joystick Gremlin. I'm back to using only the built-in DCS control programming. I've been flying a Liberation campaign out of Ramat David. I think I'll set up comm channels and waypoints for the friendly airbases in theater.
  12. I’m on order 949, placed on 7/14. Any indication on when I could expect a shipment? Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  13. Thanks. Yes, the Winwing panels are using their default mounts. The vertical post is mounted to the side of the base instead of the top as Monstertech's directions state. I originally did that to provide more leg room for wide rudder pedals. After getting the Winwing panels, I had to extend the keyboard tray out to the side to clear them. I've also moved my Koolertron panel today from the center post to a spot right behind the side stick, so I can drop my hand off the stick and quickly tap the buttons.
  14. First new photo in quite a while... I'm made some changes over the last few months and thought I'd highlight them: First, a few months back I got the Razer Blackwidow v3 Mini Hyperspeed keyboard. This seems to be the sweet spot for me, a 65% board. I get to keep my arrow keys and the board is small enough to not be a pain to pick up and put in my lap to type. Thankfully, the pain I was experiencing in my left elbow has largely subsided over the last 6-8 months. Last week I ordered the new Phantom keycaps for it (a pudding type set that Razer put out). Also on the Razer front, I've added some of their grip tape to my Naga Pro. The docking station sits atop the vertical post on the left side, but has to be plugged straight into my powerstrip instead of the computer (as is the keyboard charging cable). I find that 1-2 joysticks will disconnect from Windows if more than two Razer devices are plugged in at a time. I use the same wireless dongle for both the keyboard and mouse, and the Tartarus Pro is the second device plugged in. Second, on the right side, I've gotten a Razer Goliathus XXL mousepad and cut it down to match the right tabletop. Looks like time to clean some dirt off it! Third, underneath that tabletop, I've mounted my old VPC T-50CM throttle in order to use the switches and knobs. I don't use the throttle handle, it's pushed all the way forward, though I do occasionally use the toggle switch on the left throttle. I use the two axis knobs for rudder trim and HMCS brightness, and use the encoders for stuff like SAI uncage and radar altimeter knobs. I use the guarded toggle for ejection seat arming. Fourth, just yesterday, I had the Simshaker Jetseat arrive. I've tested it in 2D briefly to ensure it works, but haven't flown it in VR yet. The very first thing I did after pulling it out of the box was to use a seam ripper to take the patch off the seat back. Originally it wasn't supposed to arrive until Monday, but I'm glad it came on Friday. Give me the whole weekend to use it! Fifth, I've gotten a replacement set of TPR rudders and adjusted my rudder platform to be perfectly horizontal. I've also gotten an old unused piece of 1/2" thick black plastic sheet from work and cut it down to be a new rudder platform. It's bolted to the 8020 profiles under it, and the pedals are screwed into the plastic with lag bolts and washers. Sixth, I got a pair of wall speaker mounts from Amazon and mounted them to the TV stand posts to get them off the floor. Seventh, I've added a small 9-key Koolerton keypad in front of my center stick. I use this for the ESC menu, briefing, pause, time acceleration, and ejection seat handle. I'll come up with other uses over time. Eighth, I've added a small USB volume control knob behind the throttle on the left side. Lastly, I've mounted the Monstertech wheel set underneath the cockpit frame. This allows me to shift the frame around a bit, which is handy in VR. I find my natural seating position doesn't always keep my view centered in VR. I think that about covers it!
  15. I got my cable yesterday. It now works with my MB’s built in USB C port. I’ll have to get more flight time in to see if it fixes the audio and USB disconnects. I can say that it seems to have an easier time centering my view. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  16. Thanks for posting this information... I came across it yesterday afternoon. I have a Crosshair Dark Hero motherboard and Ryzen 5950X, so I've constantly had these problems. I called in to HP yesterday and managed to get a new cable sent to me, but only after being redirected to different support departments SEVEN times. When I finally got the right person, I took down the department name and phone number, so if any of you haven't called yet: Workstations Team (800) 334-5144
  17. I just ordered the box this week. As I have the Winwing combat and takeoff panels, I don't plan on using those handles. If that's the case, will the switches be ok as regular locking toggles?
  18. Sorry I didn't have time yesterday, but here they are. Place each in your appropriate OvGME folders. InputCommands.zip
  19. That community one was the source of a lot of syntax errors in my case. I’m not at home now, but later on I would have no problem posting my files for you to try out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  20. My next guess is that there’s a syntax error in your Saved Games files. I had numerous ones that took me a while to track down, mostly involving square or curly brackets. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  21. The modded files you create should be in Saved Games and the mod itself in the DCS install folder. Do you have that set correctly? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  22. I’m a damn idiot. Still had the problem after remapping my controls. It was because the 3 ways toggle I use for autopilot pitch hold was activated. [emoji2357] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  23. Well I think I’ve got something corrupt in my Config folder. I deleted the whole thing and no longer had the problem. Tomorrow I’ll restore my other jets and remap the Viper, and hopefully that’ll take care of it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  24. I started having this problem recently. I tested all of my controllers one-by-one and still had the problem. I then uninstalled vJoy and the problem disappeared. I had been running vJoy 2.18.39. I downloaded and installed vJoy 2.1.9.1-160719, and the problem seems to have been fixed. YMMV Edit: my mileage varied. Problem is back after plugging everything back in. Still happens if o uninstall vJoy. When I load a mission X/Y axes are in top left corner and wheel brakes are on. There are not any double mappings.
  25. I did it myself. There was a steel post under the seat that I had to cut, then I cut the foam out, and sewed black fabric to cover it, by hand. I've recently gotten a new chair, inspired by a post on reddit. This is a Jegs 18" wide aluminum racing seat, with 3" foam back and seat cushions (and an old throw pillow under the seat cushion for comfort). A few months back, my mom (who is retired and only lives 5 miles away) asked me to order a sewing machine for her. My only request was that she make some seat covers for me. She did, and sewed zippers into them so I can replace the foam when it wears out. This seat, combined with the foam, sits far enough forward that I didn't need a notch for my flight stick. Here's the result:
