There's a mod out there that lets you save your edits in the Saved Games folder and applies them as DCS is launched. You no longer have to edit LUAs after every update.

DTC for DCS - new version 7.2.0 - Apache added
RogueSqdn replied to SFJackBauer's topic in DCS Modding
Trying to apply CMS, and it's trying to make my BI on chaff 41 instead of BQ 4 and BI 1.0. Increasing command delay doesn't seem to help. -

Edge won't even let you download it. I was able to download with Firefox, but still had to tell Windows Defender to allow it. I just finished recreating my profile and hope to get a test flight in later tonight. -
I don't have my Winwing throttle installed right now (just flying the Viper), but I'll definitely give the LUA edit a shot!

The only way I can think of to do it is in software. Use Joystick Gremlin (which I don't use anymore) to set off a macro when the actual switch is moved. Set the macro to execute two different vJoy buttons (or keystrokes, your preference) when the switch is each position. You can then map those vJoy buttons to open the guard then move the switch, and for returning the switch, to move the switch back and after that, close the guard. You'd have to setup two separate macros for this. I've done this with my Winwing throttle before.

Thanks… I worked nine years doing cable/sat installs. Thank God I’m not doing it anymore! [emoji6] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Looks great, and makes me wonder if I should've gone with a black cockpit! I still think I'd obsess over scratches, though. Here's a couple of shots of the current state of the cockpit: The ICP is from TekCreations, and I also have the TotalControls MFBB mounted on the right side. In order to get in and out, I have to loosen the MFD/ICP post and lean it back, and tighten it back down when I sit down.

Good Lord. I have the FSSB R3L, the F16SGRH CE, the F18CGRH, and the TUSBA R2. I LOVE RealSimulator's products, and haven't been shy about supporting them in the past, or throwing down money to do it. Shipping being added brings the price to $2051.34. I think this might be a bridge too far, even for me. It doesn't help that I just got my new 2021 Ford Bronco on Friday, and will have to be able to afford add-ons (and GAS) for it. Maybe when tax returns come around, but I can't do this right now with a good conscience.

If you’ve got the budget to buy new, go Falcon Northwest.

Will be a day one purchase for me.

[ALL MODULES][SP/CO-OP] Liberation Dynamic Campaign
RogueSqdn replied to shdwp's topic in User Created Missions General
I figured out the problem last night. I was using an older version of HomeFries' Logbook improvements mod (to add USN ranks and make US Navy an available faction). Updating to the newest version of the mod fixed the problem. -

I can’t get 5.0.0 to work. When loading the mission in the editor, DCS always locks up when loading the (theater).ng5 file. Anyone else have this issue? -

Just FYI then… I still had problems at 200ms. I set it to 300 and had no problems. I’ll try to zero in on something when I have a chance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro -
Realsimulator's RS-F35 Throttle First Impressions
RogueSqdn replied to Supmua's topic in RealSimulator
I guess it depends on whether I can deal with it when it comes. If not I can always remount the Winwing Super Taurus to the cockpit. I haven’t flown the Hornet in months, though. I’ve been on a Viper kick. I installed the DeltaSim cursor in my throttle, which already had Cubpilot’s hall sensor mod, corrected switch housings, PTFE tape on the inside, and a TUSBA R2. Realsimulator's RS-F35 Throttle First Impressions
RogueSqdn replied to Supmua's topic in RealSimulator
Just rewatched Lowblow’s video and I have a question he doesn’t address: Do the antenna knob have a center detent? The range knob seems to, and you indicate above that the BP2 knob (the potentiometer on the base) does. -
Realsimulator's RS-F35 Throttle First Impressions

This could end up being a permanent solution for me instead of switching throttles around… especially given my already high opinion of RS products. -
I’ll ask them, thanks. My issue isn’t game specific, it’s on the Windows level. I suspect it’s an issue with Razer’s drivers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Any idea when this update will be available? Reducing the amount of HID devices would help me massively. If I have more than two Razer devices plugged in, other devices will disconnect. I had to sacrifice my Tartarus Pro in order to keep my Winwing combat panel working. I currently have 10 HID devices connected: FSSB R3L (x2), F16SGRH CE (x2), TUSBA R2, Winwing takeoff and combat panels, TPR rudders, Total Controls MFBB, and Razer Huntsman v2 Analog.

I'm happy to report that this does indeed work in VR for uploading. I had to ALT TAB so VR was out of focus and I could then do the upload. I haven't tried the map in VR... I think it may only work in 2D. If so, you'd probably have to load your mission first and plan what steerpoints you want to create, save them in the DTC, and then relaunch DCS in VR. -

RogueSqdn replied to SFJackBauer's topic in DCS Modding
Thanks, that seems to have covered it. Am I to understand that we can now create killboxes in the DTC by skipping a STPT? Cool! I was about to report that the CMDS wouldn't upload correctly, but then realized I was loading the DTC before the CMDS was turned on. After doing that, it worked. I look forward to other theater's airbases being added. What I did in the meantime was to add the touchdown points of every friendly base runway in my Liberation campaign, so if a base has no ILS and the weather's bad, I can still find my way home. -

Thanks for the uploading info. I’m trying to use steerpoints 81-99 and get an unhandled exception error when it tries to upload. I know you said the video is outdated, but could you give a quick explanation on how to start and start capture of coordinates? I'm wondering if this is a way to do it without typing them out manually. Also, is there a way to change the assigned steerpoint number so it doesn't interfere with the mission's flight plan?
