I see we got same speaker set and rudder pedals :) I wonder what's on the platform :) By the way I just got my wife to take photo of me while holding a ruler under my nose, looks like my IPD is 69.8mm (just on the limit of 70 for OR) :music_whistling:

Nice. I got email this morning that my OR is now shipped... this weeked I'm putting in new PC parts (mobo/cpu/ram and that beastly M.2 Samsung 950 SSD) :pilotfly:

Nice timing... now show something from that seat you've been working on. :smilewink:

SimShaker for DCS World Sound Mode Expansion - Discussion
Kuky replied to =Andre='s topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
^^^ You need to get a second sound card (use different brand/manufacturer - I mean don't get 2x creative Hi-Fi or something, make sure they are different chipset, otherwise driver will work for only 1 - its issue I has with my system... I have 3 sound cards by the way, 1 for DCS, 1 for headset (Ventrilo/TS) and 1 for SimShaker) -
My CC was charged today and I got email from Oculus saying Rift is about to be shipped! Its getting closer!

Ah right, I didn't even notice it is a post from some user... that explains the stupidity. I see that this IPD is not too hard to measure yourself, you can take a photo of yourself with ruler in front of you and measure distance from eye to eye... most certainly don't need to take photo of your CC with all the details on it, then sending it to your DR. I guess the good people (moderators) will move this thread to the right space if its not in the right space :)

I just went to see how I can measure my IPD as I am getting OR sometimes in next 2 months I guess and when I read their instructions on how to do it it raised a security flag straight away... would you just look at this: If you did what they asked you to this is what you would be doing: Credit Card has imprinted numbers meaning all of the CC numbers, expiry date as well as your signature and security 3 digit numbers would all show in the webcam! SAFE? DON'T WORRY? And then they ask you to send this to your doctor? WTF!?

Means its fixed in testing version. Not released yet.

(E)R oversusceptibility to chaff and clutter
Kuky replied to *Rage*'s topic in Release Version Bugs and Problems (Read only)
Correct, bug was that SARH missiles were seeing decoys that are outside the radar beam and reacting to them. -
Good job on the gimbal design :)

kobac, to increase distance of buildings models showing the new roof texture you need to modify .../Config/Terrain/xxxxx.lua files, line 56 (this is in Districts section) nearFullRenderDistance value This will impact on fps a bit though. Ideally you want to change the texture of buildings for far LOD also, but I have no idea where this texture is.

I got email today saying they are about to shit... I mean ship :D OR to me soon® Expected date for my order still shows around beginning of August... good times ahead :D

2016 Hardware Benchmark - DCS World 1.5.x
Kuky replied to tiborrr's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Hi tiborrr, are you able to attach the track file to your first post so that I (and maybe others would want to do the same) can benchmark my current system (I am looking at upgrading) and compare to your benchmarks? -
WTF with all the aerobatics teams aircraft crashes?

I fully agree about the advertised plug and play feature to be misleading and shount not be used. Also to point to ED forums for aditional help is not on.... if you are selling this product then it is you and your webpage responsible for providing all the know-how and user help... not Ian or anybody else from this form.

This is can of worms I think, but I'll add my opinion. I think anyone can make a website of their own (and people do) and they can setup donation button if they want. I think it's not alright for people to setup equivalent here, on ED's forums. People can have links to their website, but not a direct link for donations.

Fair enough :megalol: PS: I just noticed Belgrade and Zagreb are also "misspelled" :D

Its Bosnia and Herzegovina ;) And yes, I would like this map :)

Please help with TM Cougar setup :)
Kuky replied to Aluminum Donkey's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Cougar should work with 8 axis (there are 10 but only 8 can be used at one given time). You could try flushing the firmware. This is how I have mine setup (8 axis are enabled but as I use separate rudder pedals I am not using the rudder axis (and toe brakes axis are disabled) -
I don't have any instructions for the throttle hall sensor mod and I don't know if there is anything similar (or better) to replace the mini stick. Years back I bought a replacement for the mini stick (original part) to keep as spare in case it goes bad and that's about it. Sorry I can't help further. I can't even remember now if this is still in my throttle, but I think it is, and throttle axis is still working great. What you can do is look for some small but strong magnets (orient them north to south), get yourself a hall sensor (that works on same voltage) and connect it to the wires coming out of throttle pot connector (make them long-ish so you have place to work with) and just experiment with it (see if once cougar is restarted, it'll pick up throttle axis properly. As far as I remember the outer 2 connectors on the sensor are + and - and inner one is signal (you can also see which wire is connected in the image in my 2nd post). The hall sensor should have wiring diagram and you can look up Cougar pots wiring diagram. It's not too complicated. Once you get it working and see what distance you need to keep magnet at (should be fairly close) and axis is working in good range, super-glue it to the throttle as in my pic.
