  1. This is what happens when people live in the future and not the present. Speculation, anxiety, judgement....... It only leads to misery and conflict. Today is here today. Tomorrow doesn't exist. Reality is now. Try being here for a while. Tomorrow is only an idea in your head. It does not exist. LOL.......One day people will learn this and the world will be a better place.
  2. This is and always has been the standard way things have done in the internet software business. I am a 60 year old man and I know this. When you give your money to anyone on line for software, you agree that the software does not in any way belong to you. You are paying for the right to use their software. They reserve the right to do whatever they see fit with it and you have 0 input or control. Read the agreement that you glossed over and agreed to when you paid for it. It specifically says that they own it, you are allowed to use it and they are allowed to do whatever they want with it. You have no recourse. Everyone here should already know this stuff as it is, and always has been the standard for everything in the virtual internet age from the very beginning. Everything from Windows, to C.O.D. If you agreed to their terms, that's what you agreed to. So if this arrangement doesn't suit the purchaser, then maybe they should spend their money on something else. It is very much a buyer beware kind of thing and we all know this. So yes......Entitled.
  3. "Oh my....the sense of entitlement by some here..." That's why we are where we are as a culture today.
  4. LOL....I had no idea that there was a shirt. Didn't catch anything about it when I ordered. Not really concerned. I didn't buy the module to get a shirt to begin with.
  5. LOL....Cackle cackle, cluck cluck...........
  6. Blah blah blah blah....Thanks for getting the hens cackling and prompting endless speculation, complaint, and impatient posts that we're all going to have to put up with for months. Just release it when it's ready and stop blowing smoke where the sun won't shine already.
  7. "We deal with many bug reports, requests and wish lists. Not all of them can be resolved for many reasons, but I think you will agree that when you see our change logs its obvious to see we are working hard and we will continue to." It's just an opinion but I think that removing beta will help ED to focus on fixes, and upgrades much better. With thousands of "testers" reporting in the beta phase, many of which are probably nothing that actually needs to be dealt with due to user error and home system problems, ED can streamline and focus much better on actual known stuff. Open beta was always kind of a blind turkey shoot in my eyes.
  8. There are 0 good answers for this poll. Maybe you should have thought out the questions better. I think that all of us have modules that we are very good at and some that we never use and only fly for fun or whatever. I don't think that any one person is aces at all modules, and very few are here for only one module. Owned modules? Very few fall into any of the options that you offer. And the last question is pretty much the first question. My answer to you is.....Who cares? Not to be snide but we come fly here because we like what we are doing. This isn't COD or Battlefield where every teen and post teen player is obsessed with their KD ratio or ranking. DCS caters to a higher standard of player. None of that stuff matters to most of the people here.
  9. Not that this matters to me but.......Is ED doing away with Beta or did I misunderstand that post on the patch thread? I stopped using Beta years ago as I never really did any testing or report anything. It always seemed to me that they had plenty of people giving feedback so I never bothered with it. I am just curious. "For the past several years, we have released DCS in two forms: the Open Beta, which includes the most recent changes to allow broad testing and the Stable version which is based on the most recent Open Beta and has no known crashes, thus the term Stable. In 2024, we will be moving to unified DCS updates. This change has been a common customer request and will streamline our release process. We believe that it will also help avoid version confusion for both single-player missions and multiplayer servers. Starting with our first update of the year in February, we will also be making the same changes to the DCS Steam Edition. Please stay tuned for more details."
  10. Yup....There it was. Just not written in a way that I remembered it. Worked!!!
  11. I thought so but I didn't see it when I looked. Will look again. Thx
  12. Holy cow! For the life of me I cannot remember where in the settings to turn off that insanely annoying Pilot take off and landing position is. I hate trying to land with that on. Can anyone remind me of where in the settings it is? Thx!!!!
  13. LOL........We've been through many trial separations. I've cut her out of my will a few times. But I always come back because when it's good, it's really good.
  14. Ok, so I'm seriously thinking about to park my DCS for a time and see if ED can find a solution, I'm getting super tired and frustrated, and with no more ideas and things to test in order to be able to play comfortably. Hundreds of euros invested for this!! very Nice. This has been my relationship with E.D. for 15 years................
  15. OK guys......I think that I found a 90% solution for my particular stuttering problem. Please keep in mind that this may not and in all probability will not work for everyone. Last year I had to order a new Track IR. I ordered what I thought was a Natural Point system as it was advertised as such and the Ebay post showed the plastic bubble pack Track IR system. When it arrived it was in one of those little white boxes, not the bubble packaging. I knew that I had been the victim of a bait and switch. These guys were selling the cheapo Chinese knockoffs as natural point head tracking. I got a full refund on the tracking system from Ebay and did not have to return the product. So....I used it instead. Well......Last week it up and completely died on me. This time I ordered the real deal. It came this morning. I hooked it up to my rig, fired up DCS, the micro stuttering has completely stopped. But....I also had been dealing with issues with 2-3 second stutters every minute or so. It still happens but not nearly as much. It has been cut in half now. So there are longer stutters still, but not nearly as severe as they were and not nearly as frequent. I can't tell you why or how. I can only tell you what I'm experiencing. So if you are using head tracking and it's an El-cheapo or home made one (I have used those too) it may be part of the problem. This tells me that there is something to the idea that ED is having issues with Track IR. The cheapo setup worked well with all other flight sims until it completely died last week. With DCS, I had everything turned down to low res. and still had the stutters. With the new Natural Point hardware, I have my DCS settings back up to mid and high and the stuttering is pretty minimal now. I still believe that this issue is partly due to something E.D. is or isn't doing, but if you have the better head tracking stuff, it seems to make a difference. It did for me. Food for thought guys.
  16. "agreed, but careful. DCS moderators are very protective and will sting you." DCS will not punish people who aren't being rude about their problems or are telling the truth. I guess that I should clarify my relationship with DCS and E.D. I have been here since the very first days of "Blackshark". I remember purchasing the disc at Best Buy a loooong time ago. I remember being instantly (insanely) frustrated and hopelessly hooked at the same time. My frustration wasn't with the software or how it worked. My frustration was with the complexity and needs of the game itself. I had no rudder pedals, a simple Logitech stick, no headtracking stuff, and a keyboard only. No HOTAS or external control surfaces other then my $39.00 Joystick. My graphics card was a stock chipset that came with my Dell PC that was a stock, home use system. As I progressed into DCS over time I started purchasing all of the hardware, video cards, and Track IR (no VR in them days). All of this was very expensive stuff. All told, I have invested thousands into simming. Much of that money was initially because I flew DCS. Over the years I purchased pretty much every module that came out. Some of them I have only flown once or twice in all of the years that I have had them. Some maps, I have never really flown extensively. I wanted to support the cause. So I have invested enough time and money into this sim that it gets very frustrating when things are not going well. Unfortunately, that scenario plays our more often than not these days. The same issues have always been kind of a nuisance from the earliest days (nature of the beast). But it wasn't so bad that you just wanted to quit. Now a days, It's much worse than the beginning. Keep in mind that I have a pretty beefy gaming computer now. It will run much more demanding sims than this one. It will even seamlessly run the monster sim that loves to eat memory. We all know the one I'm talking about. A year or two ago I stopped purchasing from E.D. Between the lost promises of several purchases and the way that it struggles on my system to play well enough for me to enjoy it, I just realized that I was putting my money into something that I wasn't enjoying so much any more. It kind of made me angry with E.D. to be honest. But I haven't stopped buying stuff for the purpose of punishing anyone, I stopped because the return on my investment had shrunk considerably and I wasn't getting out of DCS what I felt that I was putting into DCS. To be fair, I did pre-purchase the F-4 a few days ago. The first thing I have bought from DCS in a long time. I love DCS / I hate DCS. I want to enjoy this big sandbox, but on my computer, and in my view, it's not the same as it use to be. I recon that I will probably always fly DCS and enjoy it whenever it's possible. But there are times that I have to just remove it from my system and fly other simulators. I also removed the other sim I had mentioned earlier. For similar reasons. But I am 2 versions behind on the other sim and have no plans to buy any new iterations of it. The difference is that I always come back to DCS because I really like it and would love to enjoy it again. Venting about it and seeing others who suffer the same issues really helps. But please understand, I do like DCS. I like cooking too. When I burn myself or slice my finger with a sharp knife while doing it. I yell, curse, and move on. If a dish that I make taste bad, I simply stop making it.
  17. "I think with many things in DCS you do have to make your own fun, if you are not having fun try something else, that is the beauty of DCS, its a sandbox for whatever you want to do." This statement pretty much sums up the way I look at DCS.
  18. "We need to wait for ED to fix the issue." <<<< THIS I have been offered every solution that is mentioned here on this thread, been told that it's a hardware issue with my Track IR, been told that it's my system (when I know that it's absolutely not because I run 2 other sims that are very heavy on any rig and neither of them have the issue, been told that it's MODs that I'm using when I have never used any mods in D.C.S. , And I've been told that it's E.D.'s problem. Having done everything possible to cure it. Yet still it persists in DCS after following every lead given.....It's an E.D. thing. Again, shelving DCS for however long until they come to terms with their own product. DCS spends more time dormant on my computer than any other software that I have ever owned because of constant technical problems or issues. And they wonder why I refuse to give them any more money.........
  19. "If you can't be bothered to take these steps, that's fine. Just let us know and we'll stop investing any more time." <<<<<<<<<< THIS LOL....I thought that I made the pretty clear in my las post..........Thanks but I will solve this on my own.
  20. I don't think that you understand. I am just plopping an A10 down on the ramp with Mavs and the TGP on the wings. There is no other mission attached to this. The DCS I am using is a fresh install. There are no mods, saved missions, or anything. I am pretty much opening it for the first time. So far as I know, there is no issue with my install as it is brand new. I have been with DCS for 20 years so I know all of it's ins and outs. What I am saying is that I can set up on the ramp with say......6 rocket pods full of rockets that I loaded in the ME before the mission. I get into the mission, the rocket pods are in my DSMS. Bombs, rockets, TGP, whatever. They'll all be there when I set up my DSMS. But......Not Mavs. whenever I load them in, there is nothing. Just the red boxes where they're suppose to be in the DSMS. I never use mods in any install. I never change file names or alter my file configuration. No worries....I will figure it out. Every time you rearm your aircraft, you have to re-load the DSMS page, even in the A10C2. Have you done that? Yes.
  21. " Funny thing is that the axis input shows normal. It is just the reaction of the plane is weird." Exactly!
  22. I remember that issue well and it's similar only my MAVs do this with the initial loadout. There is no specific mission. I am starting at Nellis so the availability isn't an issue. I'm loading before the actual mission starts anyway so I don't believe that would be a factor at all. I'm just loading DCS back on to my computer and I'm setting up my HOTAS controls. I just set up a mission where I start from the ramp with the essential armament to get everything organized and set up. So it really doesn't matter what the mission is. The MAVs just don't make it to the loadout.
  23. Anyone know what I could be doing wrong? I set up my plane in the loadout page in the ME and whenever I select Mavs for loadout, they don't seem to make it to the DSMS. When I go to turn them on and set them up, there's just red rectangles on their loadout positions. I remember this issue from a while back when it would happen after you landed and reloaded. But that was with the older A10-C. I am pretty sure that it's something on my end that I am not doing correctly. I am relatively new to the A10 C II but don't recall having this issue when I was flying it last year. Oh....Yeah.......I haven't flown DCS in a while so it absolutely could be something on my end. Thx
  24. I haven't flown the Spitfire in probably a year or more. Yesterday I took a flight in it and wow!!!! The rudder is just insane crazy overly implemented. I've gone to 40% saturation and still it sends the slip scale into a frenzy and the plane rocks like crazy. I read someone saying that they have theirs at 70%........I have to believe that this is something on DCS's end. It didn't seem that crazy before at all. Now....I'm doing this on a brand new install so that is most likely not the issue in my case.
  25. No E.D. , none of the responses solved my issue since it seems to be something that you guys did, and I have to wait for you to undo. So rather than hold my breath, I will shelve DCS for yet another year or so while I go fly other simulators that actually work most of the time. It seems that I spend more time undoing D.C.S.'s problems than I do flying it. It's the most infuriating thing about this sim. See you guys in a year or so............
