  1. The other new screenshots - Normandy 2.0 and Syria map.
  2. Correct! Thanks!
  3. Especially because of the MiG-23, which I've been waiting for for years. It would be nice to have it in DCS someday. Maybe @OverStratos has full rights to it for now and will continue working on it, but under a different brand?
  4. I flew Chinook today and everything is still ok for me, textures take longer to load but I have a constant 72 FPS, no any drops and problems for me, but ok, I have 24 GB VRAM.
  5. Add the mission track too.
  6. The sentence is „about” 3 months, so it could be two or four months. Two is already out so there is a chance that the east part will appear in October or November at the latest.
  7. I'll check Chinook again then, I haven't flown on CH-47 since the last update, maybe something happened. I haven't complained lately and I had a constant 72 fps in VR (at 72Hz) with quite high resolution.
  8. The last M.Wags video shows Balad Air Base (originally named Al-Bakr Air Base), incoming Iraq map:
  9. Finally we have sample!
  10. New sound (sample) for OH-58D: Echo 19 Audio Production just posted an update on the Polychop Simulation's DCS: OH-58D Kiowa Warrior audio overhaul they have been working at. Check it out! Echo 19: Over the last few months, we've been slowly working on re-tooling the audio for the amazing Kiowa by Polychop. The dev team has been super supportive of our requests. It has made developing the new sounds a lot easier than anticipated. This new audio package for the Kiowa features new rotor, turbine, tail-rotor, blade slap, and even some new weapon sounds for the M3P. Countless additions include new switches, buttons, and even some new tail-rotor linkage sounds as you move the pedals back and forth. These new sounds would not have been possible without our friends at 45 North Aviation in Traverse City, Michigan, where I recorded their absolutely stunning Bell 407GXP with industry-leading microphones and recording equipment. We even went for a small flight, to get a feel for how a real OH-58D/Bell 407 feels (and sounds) in the skies. A massive thank you to the 45 North crew! Another massive thank you belongs to the Polychop team themselves, for trusting our skills and abilities to not only record, but to help integrate these audio changes in the simulator. We love how passionate their team is for creating amazing products, and it shows! I've attached a short video so you can hear the new improvements that we are wrapping up!
  11. How is that possible, since you have 16GB VRAM, my DCS doesn't take more than 8-12. So you still have some free space but ok, maybe it's an individual case, I won't confirm this without a track.
  12. I still think it's not the module's fault, but some performance issues with the computer. Make a Track where you had those 2 FPS and I'll check that mission and will back with info. You can also show your graphics settings.
  13. Don't forget that the MiG-29A will also be EA so if you are waiting for it and want to have it you have to accept the current system or wait probably some period until EA ends for it. Kola map is currently at a really good level. One of the coolest maps. I have Afghanistan and I certainly don't regret buying it too. Honestly, I've been on PG map a bit rescently and there are similar cases reported for Afghanistan and somehow it didn't bother some people that much back then ;). As for the campaign for Iraq, how can you expect it if the map isn't there yet? Add a few months after the release and maybe something will appear, but I don't remember any map having a campaign from the release. I have Iraq in my library and all I want is to be able to fly there, lol .
  14. No any issues for me, Chinook is FPS friendly for me. Maybe its a mod or part of the map when you are. Check on Nevada for example.
  15. The same.
  16. +1, yes, fully agree, we need it too.
  17. Exactly. Additionally, I suggest asking yourself the question - "to have or not to have". Even if something is being developed, in my case it's better to have it. Why? Because it is my main hobby with which nothing can compete. As for disk space - this is generally starting to be a problem for some people, which I wrote about a long time ago. The strategy of releasing maps means that unfortunately several of my friends have already given up on purchases due to disk space. I personally bought a 4GB NVMe drive after the release of the Kola map just for DCS, although going by the current course, it may turn out to be too little in 3-4 years. Maybe by then the whole Earth will finally appear, which will make disk space more predictable, and the next maps will possibly be a nice addition. I would gladly pay for the whole Earth. If such a map was about 1TB (based on autogens), that would also be good news for people, because they would be able to estimate what they need more accurately. However, it does not change the fact that currently for DCS you basically need at least 2TB if you want to have everything plus upcoming addons in 2025 (my DCS currently takes up 890GB), and then Iraq and East Germany will be added to that. So probably another 180-250GB. I would also suggest a Launcher upgrade (suggestion for @Flappie ) that could indicate where add-ons are installed (this is possible), something like the ORBX Central client for MSFS. This way you can manage disk space and install larger maps on different disks.
  18. Let's assume it's a fairy . In fact, I'm still very positively surprised, because I didn't think the map would reach Qatar. Cool, the only thing is that this part will be in 2025.
  19. Of course, like in life, nothing is perfect. And I don't think anyone here is saying that all these modules are 100%. It's not like that, but these are minor things that don't diminish the importance of a given module. The fact that the F-15E doesn't have all the MFD screens (and why would I honestly go through the BIT screen, for example?) and a few more types of weapons, does it mean that the module is in a terrible condition and can't be flown (as some suggest), or requires a return? Absolutely not. The same as you write Harrier, it's in a specific situation, when the user doesn't follow the instructions, if you go beyond certain situations it can force an error. These are minor things that are completely nothing to worry about, they will be, but they don't ruin the reception of the models. However, of course - the biggest problem may be the fact that some patch will mess something up, or like it was with the F-15E radar. The risk in the current situation is only here and possibly what the future will bring. I wouldn't worry about condition of modules today. There's plenty to do at DCS, it would be nice if Razbam didn't come back to the game, if he sold the rights and IP to ED and that's it. Maybe an additional team would take care of it here - but that would also require additional specialists.
  20. nullCurrently we have a bar with a map of Iraq at the top of the Forum, but it just so happens that a very bright cloud in the image overlaps the mail icon and the bell, you can't see anything at all. Can you fix this and give a slightly darker background in this place? It's unclear where to click.
  21. Good decision, the Harrier is a really cool model and basically a complete. Lol. Why? Does your conviction strengthen you? Each model is almost fully functional and does not differ from the EA level or the current status of other modules. Whether it's MiG-19, M2000, AV-8B or F-15E, you can still enjoy it at a high level. Personally, I have not made any refunds and do not intend to. Unless I'm forced to do so. Generally, if I could summarize a few posts here about status of modules (sry ), what is noticed, what you see, depending on who you are :
  22. The whole map, see FAQ for Iraq Map: .
