[Official] SimShaker for Aviators
=Andre= replied to f4l0's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Please find attached a set of customized samples for your task #2. How it works: The samples will push all the effects except the listed below into channel 3, leaving channels 1, 2, 4, 5, 6 empty. Samples engaged in the Afterburner, engine rumble, G feeling, high speed shudders, Buffet/Stall, and turbulence effects will feed channel 1 for the left side and channel 2 for the right side, leaving channels 3, 4, 5, 6 empty. Test sample test.wav feeds channels 1, 2, 3. I assume your sound card supports 5.1 mode and you will use 3 shakers in total. How to use: Unzip all the .wav files into the Documents\SimShaker Sound Module samples\Customized\6 subfolder. In the SimShaker Sound Module settings select Bass-shaker number 3-6(5.1 pattern) Hopefully this helps. set2.zip -

Do I take it right that you want the G feeling, high speed shudders, Buffet/Stall, and turbulence on the left? These are barely engine related effects. Yes, I think this is also possible. -

Hello, Yes, I think it's not hard to do with SimShaker Sound Module. Which channel you'd like to dedicate to engine effects - left or right? -

Unofficial mods are not supported by SimShaker for Aviators. But you can use this tool to extend the aircrafts variety https://simshaker.com/attachments/get/11/simshaker_mods_support_gear_v.0.0.zip -

I think that may be a known issue. Please try to reload the Gametrix control unit firmware as described in the User Guide https://simshaker.com/guides/jetpad -

Thank you Tyger! SimShaker for Aviators software is by @f4l0. At this particular moment I'd recommend to use the beta version. Stable version has a little bug with logging. -

The screenshot looks good. Please check your shaker wiring. Hi, I see, thank you. Is it with A-10C only? -

Mostly it's not about Volume Mixer settings. If you hit Play button at the Test the Module tab, does it work? -

Hmm... I put the archive content into the Saved Games\DCS\Mods\aircraft folder with OVGME but can't see the mods appeared in DCS OB aircraft list. Looks like something went wrong. Any help from seasoned mods users would be appreciated. -

Talking about SimShaker for Aviators, yes, I'd recommend you to install the latest beta. Stable version had a bug with logging. Is there any official page/thread for this mod? -

Maybe the seat power supply unit is not capable enough. What if you decrease the vibration strength for this effect in SSA settings? -

Could you please provide a link to this Su-30SM mod? F-15E is supported in the latest SimShaker for Aviators version. -

Great news! Thank you for the update. First of all please check that you don't have unlimited ammo enabled in DCS settings. But it may require some extra job on DCStoF4 end as well. Well, it doesn't limit the effects number until it's got expired. Sounds strange though. Anyway, we can fix it. Please email me some Wings screenshots. -

Thank you for the feedback. I realize this probably would be good for customers, but we do not plan much more unification than it is now. Please excuse us. -
My issue with DCS Stable version 2.8 looked different. I even couldn't open the control settings page. With OB 2.9 the mod seems to work fine.

Wings reads BMS sharing memory. Once the memory file gets stuffed by DCStoF4, Wings gets as chance to work (maybe partially) as well. At least I would be curious to try it out having such a setup. But I don't own DCS F-16 module. -

Hello Red Dog, Do you mean SimShaker for Aviators doesn't work in this case? SimShaker Wings doesn't require any lua scripts. -
Hi guys, Using OVGME installation method can't get this mod working with DCS 2.8.6 Stable version. After installing the mod any F-18 input stops working. Could anyone help me wih this?

In my software I use this kind of separation (FRONT and BACK) mostly for vibrating pads but not for bass-shakers thus far. I've been thinking of developing it for bass-shakers as well, but it's not implemented at the moment. -

I'd say that 1, 2 can be used when effect engages more than 1 sample, but there is no obvious spatial separation. Regarding RM RL LM LH etc meaning... I'm not sure they are still in use. I keep them in SSM set to avoid compatibility issues. To be honest I don't know in what cases they are called by SSA. Maybe in case of AC getting damage. If you will see them being called please share with me. -

Hi jurinko, two-seater F1? I can see Mirage F1 by Aerges looks rather a single-seater is that an unofficial mod? I don't know for sure. Please excuse me. Never used this feature thus far. I believe @f4l0 knows better.
