GBU-10 & 12 completely misses their targets when launched by AI. I tested about 10 times from both F-117A and F-15E, both flying at 15000ft and 0.8 mach. GBU-27 and GBU 31 worked fine for both F-15E and B-1B and successfully hit their targets.

VR Shaders mod for better VR experiencestormrider replied to Kegetys's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World That thing is expensive. I'd say save your money for a GPU upgrade.

D version perhaps is only limited as far as anyone knows, to DCS level cockpit simulators. I wouldn't mind having it in a less than perfect fidelity level, similar to FC3, which I think is totally possible: janes longbow was version D, released more than a decade ago and would be at least similar to FC3, probably better if it was brought to today standards.

VR graphics card advice for a budgetstormrider replied to richtosh's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software That's strange, mine rarely goes over 65C... Why did you change from a 1070 TI to a centrifugal FE 1070?

Isn't it a shame that ED picked the least featured F-16C? No Aim7 nor Lantirn and all. On the other hand, I know I am not alone here, I'm not one of thes fanboys mimimi purple haired whinny emu big ugly fat cockblocker girl with military leather boots "realism" freak and wouldn't mind getting those goodies to simulate other periods.

Is CCRP broken now? It seems that lots of things a not working now. I tried a few runs with a initial BVR/WVR A2A at STRP 1, followed by a CBU CCIP at STRP 2, then LGB in CCRP at STRP 3. In DGFT mode, Bore sight seems to not want to lock anything. CCRP seems to not be working at all. Is anyone experiencing the same symptoms?

I guess their code is such a mess that they're swimming in a sea of lua spaghetti chasing the tail of the line. :pilotfly:

This is the worst place to ask such a question. Look for books or other sourced material, otherwise all you're gonna get is non-real-life-experience-think-know-better-people that give all kinds of answers with dubious references.

This is a very interesting read on the subject: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005D7FLL8/ref=dp-kindle-redirect?_encoding=UTF8&btkr=1 https://archive.org/details/wildweaselshisto00halb (This copy can be borrowed with Adobe Editions!)

That's exactly why there is an open wishlist topic requesting for it. You like it or not.

In the end, the problem is that you're afraid that people are going to use it and enjoy it. You're such a child mate.

Back in 2015-2016, Assetto Corsa modding community was booming. There we had all the same SDK as them and some limited documentation, enough to get going most of the time and there was new stuff being released almost daily but most bad quality stuff with 3d models imported from other games. At the same time, Kunos, the devs were also selling their official DLCs. As I remember, in the first place, everybody, simply everybody would buy them no matter what, because they were really that good and honestly priced, so mods were not interfering with official sales. At some point, Kunos shut down the modding section for mods announcements, because it was stealing their time in order to verify the integrity of the mods, that is, moderating over illegal 3d models in their official forums. This meant that mods announcement went to another website, called racedepartment, where mods continued to flourish. At the time I didnt see it with good eyes, but now I understand; it meant that people who wanted to use mods were free to do so and had total support from Kunos; they just had to use Racedepartment (or whatever) to get them, while people who didnt want any mods were also free to do so. The second thing was that throughout this period, some mods were so good that Kunos licensed them and included in their DLCs and free updates. Also, some modders, who previously had no experience, discovered their talents while modding and were quickly hired to join the official development team. In the end it was a win-win situation.

In Janes F-15E a decade ago you could switch front and back. There is no problem with that, you can fly the aircraft from both stations; you can also use all the weapons from both too. Switching to the backseat on the other hand allows a single player the benefits of having a few extra MFDs to play with: very useful.

VR graphics card advice for a budgetstormrider replied to richtosh's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software Clock at 1999.5mhz (+125) and Vram at 4016mhz (+10) If I go anywhere beyond that vram, it starts getting unstable, Oculus starts crashing randomly. BMS 4.34 also doesn't seem to like any overclocking. Which 1070 model you got? Mine is not anything premium btw, it's just a palit 1070ti jetstream or something.

I guess in the end it boils down to: 71.49% of voters aren't old enough to have played Janes F-15E 28.51% have played Janes F-15E :D

VR graphics card advice for a budgetstormrider replied to richtosh's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software Wow, are you sure those numbers are right?! My 1070 TI, I can't push it anywhere close to your numbers.

I think there should be an option in the laser page (List > UFC 0 Misc > Laser ST Time X secs) which is currently missing (among many other features), to set the laser firing timing. Currently in this same page it is only possible to set the laser codes.

Theoretically PGM without guidance don't behave like low-drag GP bombs. They have addon movable fins and other components that generate more drag and which may or may not be properly aligned; that may interfere in unforeseen ways from a standard ballistic trajectory. In other words, without guidance PGM are less accurate than dumb bombs. (At least in theory!)

Having ED make the final judgement is completely unrealistic. Who in the team is going to go through all submissions to choose what's worth or whatnot, I mean, there is only 2 options: release the tools to the public or not release it at all. Once the tools are out, people are going to create new stuff just like we love to do. I wouldn't want that ED wastes development time not developing. In the end most stuff will be like Ercoupe's ass, but some will be so good that even ED will want to release them as official DLCs.

How would you know, do you have any real world experience?

And me. But I don't really care. At least it seems that this time, we're actually getting the F-15E. Hope it will not take another few years, after all, it's being in development since at least 2011 afair.

Why not you having the last word of what gets into your computer?
