  1. Greetings Virtual Hornet Drivers, After poring through the Thrustmaster\NATOPS manuals and viewing Jar's video; I decided to create this flight controls PDF for your tweaking pleasure. Suggestions, ideas, et al … welcome. Enjoy! Download LINK: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3302561/ Cheers,
  2. Works for F-18C in DCS 2.5.3. Just create a new waypoint with the Lat/Lon to have steering to the target/target group center.
  3. Go for it Eule! Even if you and only one other person use it, if you enjoyed creating it, don't worry what others think. Create away! :D
  4. Well, since you mentioned it … I have busted out the NATOPS today and cross-checked the F-18C flight controls vs. the TM Warthog switch availability. I will hang my efforts in the guides section and you can share that with Greg for "squawks". The Hornet stick is not as robust as the Warthog stick … but that just may be an Air Force thing. Besides, manly men flew F-4s … we didn't have digital squat … just fire and steel on target.;) In all seriousness, this is an exercise in playability vs. realism in a $70 flight sim. I would like you to ask Greg about the Automatic Throttle Control (ATC) modes and employment scenarios if you could please. Keep up the great videos down under!
  5. With todays hotfix we now have ship livery functionality in the Mission Editor. Perry and Normandy class have new sisters at the dock. Time for carriers to get some love next! I expect Hawkeye60 and UscsTaylor to be busy in the weeks ahead … ;)
  6. You're welcome Jar. I'd like to fill the rest of the TM Warthog boxes out with a community-based "as real as it gets" universal standard. The standard being based on NATOPS and/or first-person experience like that provided by Cmdr Brett.
  7. Good interview! Spoiler alert … (TM Warthog Owners only) The following switchology/buttonology info is presented in the video. Do watch the video first and refer back to the photos below for clarification. As promised, my F-18C TM Warthog Setup Guide is now ready for review: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3685148#post3685148 Cheers!
  8. Love the SparkVark Hawk!
  9. Great idea! Thanks for the tip.
  10. AGM-65E loadouts created via ME with a "hot" jet, not cold and dark start, appear to work fine for me.
  11. Well done!
  12. That is udderly impossible … they are Zombie Cows!
  13. +1
  14. What did you upgrade from the 2070 and how is the 2070 performance-wise?
  15. Pretty cool Hawk!
  16. Sounds like Windows File Association error. Try this: To reset File Associations in Windows 10, do the following. Open Settings. Navigate to Apps - Defaults Apps. Go to the bottom of the page and click the Reset button under Reset to the Microsoft recommended defaults. This will reset all file type and protocol associations to the Microsoft recommended defaults.
  17. Thanks for sharing Hardcard! The LUA Tutorial site is pure gold.
  18. Good luck Joey! Must have mod for the Harrier pilot!
  19. Mark, How about do what we do in real life to solve timing problems … create a enroute holding leg as part of the flight plan for TOT control. WP0 - Departure Airfield WP1 - Climbout/Level Off WP2 - Holding Entry Point WP3 - Holding Exit Point (Exit this point on time to make TOT) WP4 - Combat Entry Point WP5 - ...6...7...8...9...10 (etc) this could be your low level routing W11 - IP W12 - TGT W13 - Escape W14 - … 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 … (return routing … or AAR track, etc) W20 - Recovery airfield Have your formation takeoff
  20. Obviously the better looking brother …;)
  21. We have voices out the wazoo … ;)
  22. At the moment you will have to overwrite\add files to your C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCSWorld OpenBeta\Sounds\Speech\Sound\ENG\Common\Tanker\… folder structure. Read this for more detail: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3654835&postcount=29
  23. Good to know. I plan to build an Excel list of phrases/words to help expedite production of wave files via voice actor or robo-voice. This would obviously mimic the directory structure of the speech/sound folders.
  24. Great. So what did you do structure wise to accomplish three separate voices.
  25. Try grouping your 3 ATC voices into folders named 1, 2, and 3 under ATC. I’m betting the behavior would be as each ATC is contacted from base to base, the voices will automatically cycle based on the order they are set up in the ME. A simple test mission can check this “theory”. I agree on culling the callsign list. I slapped those 90 together to stick something on the wall and to find out how the ME would behave with such a large number. I think 3-5 new voices for ATC, JTAC, AWACS and Tankers is sufficienct for beta 1.0. I’d also like to limit the callsigns to 1-2 per aircraft type for BLUE forces initially. I believe that many DCS users, whether SP or MP, will desire their own custom callsign lists. That is beyond the scope of what we need at this time. However, we will provide them with a good foundation to pursue further development either jointly or for their own personal requirements.
