AGM-154 "Smart Pig" JSOW is coming to the Hornet … give it time. LOL Now JASSM would be even better …

At the request of prolific modder Hawkeye60 and his DCS Mod Team I've cooked up a little PDF on WWII AI bombing setup in the M.E. It may be pure corn-fed USA beef and/or Bovine Scatology at worst, but for a Friday; I hope it's at least informative and maybe a little entertaining. Without further adieu, bon apetit! ///////////////////////////////////////////////////// BREAKING NEWS from Cow News Network ///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Before you ask: "Where's the beef?", READ THE PDF! :D DISCLAIMER: No DCS Cows were harmed "during" the creation of this mission. Afterwards, all I can say is READ THE PDF to find out! :drink: PDF and Mission file used to create this attached below … PDF Download Link: http://www.mediafire.com/file/grgtrq7mpgrzu72/AI_Bombing.zip/file B-17 Bomb Run.miz

Greetings DCS Hornet pilots and Mission Builders, I've created some color-coded Case III Recovery Approach Plates and Kneeboard cards for the Hornet Drivers out there. These Approach Plates have all that nasty math already computed for you for the four cardinal directions: North/South and East/West. ;) Named the Waggle (insert direction here) Approach, just steam your Stennis on the heading from the Approach Plate and you'll have all your ducks in a row to fly that CASE III Recovery! If demand exists, I may create four sample mission files to add later. So let me know in this thread. Feedback is always appreciated, so with no further quacking about I present: Download Section Link - https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3301330/ FWIW, my favorite Peabody Duck is named Matt … he's from Memphis. :D Now get out there and earn those garish gold wings of the Naval Aviator!

TM Warthog COOLIE switch Left inop
Backy 51 replied to Stingray 537 Mongo's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Confirm button/switch operation in Windows 10 (Win 7 is similar) Control Panel / Hardware and Sound / Devices and Printers / Multimedia Devices / right mouse click on TM WH throttle image to view Game Controllers. Highlight Throttle - HOTAS Warthog, select Properties, Test tab and view red light indicator goes on and off as you operate button/switch. If it does not illuminate in the Test area, then that button is NOT registering an input. That would then point to a hardware issue, otherwise; it is probably software related and fixable. -
Good grief ladies, you’ve got a mission computer that will tell you exactly when you’ll hit any waypoint. Use it.

Post updated to Version 1.2 to incorporate new airfields and navaids.

Greetings DCS Mission Planners, Here's a quick guide for those wishing to use the excellent AC-130 mod by Mario, Hawkeye and Patrick that also allows C-130 airdrop of Personnel and CDS. Link to the mod: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3301110/?sphrase_id=12314639 I've attached my demo mission file, PDF guide, and modified lua file. Info for the lua mod are described in these threads: First mod: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=214901 Latest mod: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=215416 Here's a quick YT video of what it looks like in action: Fantastic mod that should be incorporated into DCS IMHO … DCS AI C-130 Airdrop.pdf CDS DEMO AIRDROP.miz Weapons.lua

Don't be silly James. Delete the old one and replace with the new … date reminds you of which one you have installed. 'Q' "Remember, it doesn't need to be shaken … that would be playing with it. " - Mitch Rapp :D

Extract the zip and place it in this directory structure: C:\Users\your computer name\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Mods\tech\476 Range Targets 17JUN18

The C-17 can takeoff from dirt strips thank you … ill-advised, but dirt capable. So can the Herc, but it is a turbo-prop … :D

:megalol: My God man! Get back on the blue pills immediately and ... never mind. :D Now I’ve got to get a Cray Supercomputer to test this thing!

Jumpers would be great, but a single CDS pallet with a G-12D chute would be a great starting point also!

Look here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3522873&postcount=129 Works great on my 4K UHD TV at 3840x2160 ... -
FANTASTIC! Could you please add a Container Delivery Airdrop (CDS) pallet for airdrop pretty please? :) Like this: Making the CDS a trigger action for the Mission Editor would be a dream come true!
-
Create that directory structure: Users\\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Kneeboard\FA-18C_hornet then put a jpg checklist in it. That's true for any aircraft kneeboard BTW ...

Thanks for the tip!

Real beauty!

FYI - Waypoint/OAP Sequence Programming. A total of three waypoint/OAP sequences are available for waypoint/OAP sequence programming and a maximum of fifteen waypoint/OAPs maybe programmed in each sequence.

Modders, For years I have desired a single Trigger Action object of a single Container Delivery System, (CDS), airdrop pallet like that shown in the video below. I think we have all the necessary elements inside DCS already. There exists a cargo load object that can be hoisted by the Huey. There is the Illumination Bomb object and there is the pilot eject animation. Ideally, I would like an olive drab parachute, but I'd be thrilled to have the Illumination Bomb parachute attached to the Cargo load object minus the burning flare and smoke. Can this be done? I know GIMP can make the textures. I think 3DS MAX could make the animation sequence. If not, what animation software can do the job? I am a willing and motivated student for this project! :book: Turn me loose or dazzle me with your animation skills wizardry! Rise up and accept the challenge … it would bring a new Trigger Action to the Mission Editor that could be used in so many interesting scenarios. Cheers, Backy 51

IMHO, the "*" technique was genius. Maybe you could teach us all how to edit those files with unique prefix codes if there is a way to alias that in multiplayer?
