  1. What I just observed in the test mission was that until the Fan Song painted me, the HARM on the selected station did not switch from standby to ready. As soon as I heard the Fan Song tone on the RWR, the HARM switched to ready and I then fired it. So there are some criteria that must be met before firing. Nonetheless, having HARMs for non-AI aircraft will be a great addition to mission building. Looking forward to the additional HARM modes and the eventual arrival of the non-AI Smart Pig.
  2. Thanks Nightwolf, I will see if I can replicate that behavior.
  3. Okay, thanks. What is the delay between standby and ready status as I step through the stations then? Just flew a test mission with four red ground radars and all four HARMS were in standby. I did use Active Pause to run through your video fire sequence before unpausing to engage the radars. Setup was 22K and inside 20NM for the record.
  4. Wags/ED, What is the criteria for the HARM to go from standby to ready mode? Cheers,
  5. Download the free Audacity to convert that WAV to OGG like Hardcard says ...
  6. Very cool Uboats! HNY2U!
  7. Thanks for the info Grimes! That was one long pushback at Batumi … should have used a C-5! ;)
  8. Check it out. Purely speculative on my part for "LandingFUBAR" usage … :D 1 - Land at Batumi and then crew change with the pushback from hell. LOL 2 - Land on Stennis no effect. 3 - Helo landing no effect. See attached Test mission. Cheers! Test.miz
  9. I guess ED likes "sucking" winds ...
  10. Okay … will re-attack. Had no loadouts in Precision Strike. Perhaps I'll try a repair also then.
  11. Addition of smoke pod has prohibited choice to carry right wingtip station AIM-9 under the Ground Attack and Precision Strike assignments. GBU-12 pylon station assignments result in asymmetrical wing loading.
  12. Thanks! I will experiment with a few 720 entries and observe the behavior. It could also be WIP and of course, none of it is in any Mission Editor documentation.
  13. Could it be the Mission Editor waypoint type used in the mission? On p. 129 of the User Guide, (see screenshot below), the two types of waypoint related settings are Turning Point and Fly Over Point. The M.E. behavior for Turning Point is that the aircraft will “turn short” of the waypoint so as to roll out on centerline of the next leg segment. The M.E. behavior for Fly Over Point is that the aircraft will fly over the waypoint and then correct back to centerline of the next leg segment. Whether the DCS F-18 avionics can override these M.E. Settings of the mission builder, I am not sure. Also, Radius of Turn, (ROT), is affected by airspeed. Faster airspeed produces greater ROT. If you’re flying faster into the waypoint, a greater ROT is produced which requires you to turn earlier to roll out on centerline of the next leg segment. Also not sure about aircraft status as AI vs. player controlled. I realize that this discussion is centered on player flown aircraft. Hope that helps. Testing to ensue. :)
  14. Does anyone know the purpose of Sector in the enclosed screenshot of the M.E.? I have changed the values to 090, 180, or 270 and see no effect with all other settings the same.
  15. +1000
  16. Could you share your settings please? I've suddenly developed the slew cursor drift problem also.
  17. Thought you might enjoy this during your research: or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qgBE0Egcqvk
  18. Ramp tramps!
  19. The Jurassic Jet can easily hit Mach .82 to .92 and has plenty of gas to boot …
  20. This is what you want … tanker, airdrop and gunship all-in-one variant.
  21. C'mon Trev, you know … Killer Bees brother Bumble. Aren't you waiting with bated breath to fly that new Transformers Hornet in the transoceanic terrain with the altimeter setting of 28.00? :D
  22. :D
  23. Okay. For F-18 at the present you would have to create your master string of waypoints in a saved mission. Can't remember max number off top of my head but it might be 60. Then, clone/resave that mission with new name, add new other aircraft/vehicle/ship content. During Before Taxi, build a flight plan with the F-18 avionics … 1-2-3-11-17-43 for example. IRL we call these spider points because I guess it's like a spider web of points inside a given airspace. Works particularly well with GARS and killboxes.
  24. Thanks! That saves a crap ton of mouse click time!
