  1. Please explain how that rediculous video had anything to do with LtCdr. Davis' death? Spam.
  2. Don't let the Tomcat hear you say that...:fear:
  3. I believe Viper is basing his argument off of a recent thread posted on the Tomcat Sunset forums. I'll see if I can dig it up. There, one of the many pilots mentioned that the Delta Tomcat can go supersonic w/o the use of burner in a shallow dive. While that isn't "supercruise", it does speak volumes about the Cat's speed. She is a very quick bird, and if memory serves, closely contests the Eagle for speed. That isnt bad if you think about how much more rugged a carrier-based jet has to be. If I'm wrong Viper, correct me. But I do seem to remember that mentioned in a thread.
  4. No! Iceman is better. It's the way he flies, ice cold, no mistakes. He wears you down, you get bored, frustrated, do something stupid and he's got ya.
  5. There are loads of "confirmed" Tomcat kills with the IIAF, mind you; the Iranians do often over hype their capabilities, so I’m not saying that all accounts are true. Several of the Iranian "kills" were allegedly made with the Phoenix "A". Iranians have also lost a few Tomcats, I believe to Mirage F-1's, so it definitely isn't invincible, though those claims were made by the Iraqi's. Pretty much, all claims are rather sketchy, but they do have some substance to them I'm sure. Let’s not forget that the "six-on-six" test did work beautifully, so I don't doubt the capabilities of the old '54.
  6. Blue Angel #6 is piloted by Lt. Kevin Davis. I am not confirming that it was he that died, but more than likely that is the case. Lt. Davis was an ex-Tomcat pilot. This is very unfortunate. I know the Angels pride themselves on never having had a mishap. It is a shame that they will no longer be able to cite that. May he rest in peace.
  7. If memory serves, this is guy has a chronic problem with off-the-wall accusations....
  8. When can this model be utilized by the general public? It looks excellent! Awsome job.
  9. Let’s not forget that this game will probably be played on an HD TV at best. I have seen the "latest and greatest" console games played, and while the do look good, they are still fuzzy. This coupled with the lack of realistic game play and a Xbox controller will definitely cut back the desire for such a game. For the console players: congrats on a decent flight game.
  10. That's cool. History speaks volumes in Tomcat vs MiG engagements, specifically in the Iran/Iraq war, but we won't go there. Take it easy.
  11. Yep, the Cat would have splashed both of those MiG's. Great video though, I loved the angles you used, and the dogfight scenes were very good also. Keep it up!
  12. Would it be possible for someone to fix the mismatched carrier/Su-33 for the nation that they are assigned? The CVN-70 and F/A-18 would make sense under their proper nations. I (and im sure others) would have a hard time appreciating the realism of the mod with it set up this way. Thanks,
  13. My point was; you cant use realism as a factor for not allowing public modifications when the stock aircraft arn't exactly modelled perfectly themselves. I hear that "X-wing" excuse all the time. Granted, I would hope some limitations would be enforced (especially online) concerning player modded aircaft. Using the false dilemma argument that all we will see is extreme unrealism is a bit far flung. I believe that the community would have enough respect for the title not to accept sub-standard modifications. We could see some very revolutionary ideas if the fanbase had the ability to tweak the game a bit more than it currently does. I am glad that ED is moving in this direction, but I still feel that there is a bit more to be desired. I still love the game though. Hellcat
  14. This topic has been hit on before, but I must agree with Aeroscout. I would love to see some outside modability for Lock On. I really believe that it would make the game flourish. There are a lot of talented people out there with real skill. Granted, ED wont make a profit (the reason they will never release the source) but I think you would see a lot of talent exercised. ED hasn't even modeled these flyable to the utmost realism, so why not let the general public have a hand at it? Answer: A buck can't be made. Purely my opinion though. Hellcat
  15. Thats cool man. All you need to do is throw a Marine skin on it and then load it up with iron bombs and rocket pods. WOOT! Good ol' CAS.
  16. That is friggin' rediculous! I the camera angles on those shots really take your show to the next level. I love the setting. Keep it up! Hellcat
  17. Corsair, are you a pathological liar? On the Tomcat Sunset thread you blatently said that you had not yet recieved your copy of S&A. So how is it that you've had it for weeks now? Which one is the truth? Private screening my ass. I must insist that you stop pretending that you have some "inside scoop" into things. It annoys me. It is obvious that you are full of it. As long as you continue to fabricate stories, I will continue to call you on your lies. Please stop. http://www.tomcat-sunset.org/forums/index.php?topic=1401.45
  18. When can we expect a mirror to download this mod?
  19. Sweetness! I've been hankerin' for some traps on the Stennis. Woot! I'm glad you finally got the tail hook to work.
  20. Those EO mav seeker heads look so complex. Its sad that they have to blow up. :( I wonder how much a mav costs a piece.
  21. It's amazing how detailed the world is in this game. For a fixed wing flight sim, that is pretty awesome.
