A carrier-borne Tomcat sim would hit the spot. The aircraft has a massive fan base, probably one of the biggest. It has multi-role capability which would bring a diverse mission profile to the sim. Lastly, well modeled carrier aviation with attention to flight deck operations would break the mold of all other sims. The only complaint I could see against a Tomcat sim would be it's tandem seat configuration. Even if there was a computer controlled RIO that fed the player information, it would be pretty realistic. My opinion.

Considering that all scenarios in the "Lock On" world are fictional, why does it matter? There is no historical event that occurred in the Black Sea that BS intends to recreate, so whats the point? I would rather have the option to use the Kuz. If you don't want a carrier in your missions, don't put one there.

Why would we? It's my understanding that the Chinese have it now, but it still adds carrier capability to the Russian side, why remove it?

I love the look of the mod, unfortunately, the bombs do not truly replicate the ones that would be used in the real world. When snakeyes are dropped, the fins open immediately after release, as you know, this is done to allow the pilot to escape the frag range of the bomb. With this mod, the fins take far too long to snap open, and often don't do so at all if dropped at low altitudes, which is the preferred tactic using the snakeye. Is there any way to speed up the action? Again, great mod, it just needs some fine tuning.

When did the Mirage 2000 get its own cockpit?

I was fortunate enough to see that in person. It was VF-31 and 213's last Tomcat fly-in at NAS Oceana. It was one of the most awe inspiring sights I have ever seen. The video's don't capture the nose those 22 jets produced. It truly was awesome.

Very sad news. I always enjoy the Skytypers when I visit VA Beach. Oceana is a Naval Air Station btw. If a Navy guy saw the "AFB", he would probably take offense.:thumbup:

I agree. Thankfully no one on the ground was hurt. That is where the line is truly drawn. While the pilots know the risk of their job, spectators shouldn't face the same risks just for showing up at an air show.

What you are looking at in that video is an Su-25UTG. Similar in looks to the T-Frog, but not the same plane. Take care.

Nice movie overall. My only criticism is that half of it was taxi and takeoffs. I found myself getting real bored watching jets take off from different angles. The fight scenes were awesome. I loved the rear-view cannon shots. That was hot. The dubbed in cannon noises got a bit irritating though. Still awesome. Thanks!

Ok, so lets say I'm flying my Eagle around on the 169th and the AWACS calls me in on an enemy Mig. Should I lock him up and then toggle the ECM, or should I automatically begin jamming when I get a bearing on him?

I always hear complaints about online ECM use. I personally never get accused, but I would like to know what not to do to avoid pissing people off. Thanks!

I was one of your kills last night Nemesis. I also just started flying online, and I really enjoy it. I still have a lot to learn though. Two nights ago, I realized how badly the F-15 needs reversers when I accidentally played chicken with a taxiing E-3. Needless to say we both died and I succeeded in pissing everyone in the server off. Sorry Ice. Still, it's a ton of fun and It feels like a whole new game.

The US Navy Super Hornets have HMD capabilities. I think the HMD addition ruins the aesthetic of the helmet...

Good effort! I am glad that there are people out there who have the talent to make videos. Personally, I have to agree with the "lame" posts a bit too. The whole thing with the guy in the corner (who I assume is you) is a bit corny. The chronology of you flying an airshow and then proceeding to shoot down enemy aircraft is slightly unrealistic also. I would strive for a bit more serious and realistic approach to your movies, but thats just my opinion. Thanks again.

I agree Omega. Those trains should fall to thier doom if the bridge is cut. It would make for some fun mission building.
