  1. Anybody wanna sit in the MiG-21bis cockpit as much as I do? ;)
  2. Thx Skate, sounds to me like the result might be similar in quality to the terrain that SpaceEngine generates procedurally for a planet´s surface, only with more diverse textures and props. BTW, a very nice program.
  3. Thx
  4. Just bought the F-86. Thanks for the bonus system again. Now let´s see...:pilotfly:
  5. Yup, something´s up. :D THX
  6. Is this the current official status or because of the announcement for 1.3.0 that was made in the newsletter some time ago? Everything is subject to change...
  7. Apart from its use for cockpits, I like to imagine that you could create some very beautiful and detailed deformations on vehicles and aircraft where they also include torn panels, bent metal sheets, aircraft internals etc., similar to what was recently described by LN/Cobra as their approach to damge modelling on the MiG-21 - but overall the models themselves already have an extremely detailed geometry and texture mapping, so I don´t know if tesselation would offer any real benfits.
  8. The shorter the list of new features and bug fixes is in 1.2.9, the longer it will probably be in 2.0.0...
  9. Well, thanks for the screenshots. Absolutely stunning!
  10. Sent you a PM. It´s getting a little too off-topic I think ;)
  11. Thx for sharing this bit of info.
  12. Do you hear nothing or the vanilla effect? Are you sure you saved / exported them as the same file type? Is everything in the correct folder ans does the effect have the correct volume? There is not too much that can go wrong.
  13. Wow! :surprise: It can´t be a direct screenshot from EDGE. Has to be some kind of montage.
  14. Framerate´s a bit choppy, but yeah, it´s certainly impressive.
  15. Initial impression: very nice. I opted for the combo package with Devrim´s mod and I´m gonna try it out some more. Will probably keep it.
  16. Nice! I especially like the RotorKa50Dyn-effect.
  17. Yeah, BOS did the same for me, so DCS might profit from that indirectly... ;) I can only imagine what will happen once DCS is more fleshed out in this area. In the meantime, I found ED´s Yo-Yo making a very interesting statement in the russian 190-section. It had been hinted at in other threads that some people of VEAO and ED had met up with a former 109 and 190 pilot in Duxford, Erich Brunotte, and Yo-Yo stated that they recorded an interview with him regarding the pilot´s procedures and techniques with the ultimate goal to release a short film: "Synchronizers already implemented in accordance with the circuit diagram and the principle of their work up to the width of the forbidden sectors and their number, so the effective rate of fire will vary depending on the rotor speed. However, synchronizers electric trigger Dora provide not too noticeable fluctuations in tempo. 13 mm to act as well as M2 and 12.7 mm. About color man asked the other day (Erich Brunotte), fought on the Messerschmitt and Dorah - he remembers a lot, up to paragraphs instructions, but about the color, in my opinion, he did not able to recall specific (although it is still out of my meager German understanding): fly, said quickly, Whack Whack ... By the way, 90 minutes recorded an interview with him, want to make a short film, however, the questions were mostly technical and pilot technique." With the Dora´s release around the corner I´m quite excited to see what´s gonna come from this.
  18. Free foot massages?
  19. Of course, all of the above, and then some... It might also be a really cool thing to explore the maps collectively in MP on a dedicated server, if available... ;)
  20. I can´t wait for the first screenshots from the NTTR in EDGE. The combination of Georgia and EDGE is already a thing of beauty. It can´t be too long until we see some of that. Flying over Lake Mead, into the Grand Canyon, out to Groom Lake... :pilotfly:
  21. With the emergence of more substantial WWII content in DCS, they might become interested. A recent article on Rise of Flight: Channel Battles Edition was actually celebrating it as being a detailed and unforgiving, but also accessible simulation: Review
  22. Here is the quote: "Both Sabre and Dora will be released on 1.2.9. Sabre is planned for July and Dora for August."
  23. Are there any plans to contact gaming websites/reviewers prior to the release of 2.0.0 and EDGE so there would be some publicity and reviews of the new modules, egnine etc.? Or is it left to whoever finds DCS 2.0.0 in the vast expanses of the net to write about it? I know LN wanted to send out some promo copies, but they didn´t say to who or what kind of people.
