  1. Yep, I think so too, anyway MagDecl around that are should be somewhere between 7 and 6 deg East ( positive )...
  2. I would just like to ask that you keep the Caucasus server up, for those that either do not own it or can't get the required performance. For me Caucasus is, for the time being, my only chance :-/
  3. :-) That's exactly that … I should have known... would have saved me some bucks to invest more in DCS, but, let's wait for this P-47 to be released, and whatever more will become available for DCS WW2, and helis! I love helis too !!!
  4. BTW, is the P-47 going at cruise already :-) ? Really looking fwd into it... After a hiatus ( as usual ) I'm back... Visited the other temptations, enjoyed some of the aspects, but in the end I'm always reminded of such "basic" stuff as the need for rudder, the natural need to use it, without starring at the turn coordinator, and other subtleties that really make the accuracy of flight reproduction in DCS different, for the better... The P-47s I tried didn't convince me... I'll wait for this one.
  5. CW is DA WAY TO GO!
  6. DCS Spitfire IX Fixed bombs drag issue. Adjusted the tint of the armoured glass. One of ordinary Spitfire model LODs has clipped wings -fixed.
  7. I suppose so, although it'll tend to slip a bit... Best it to unlock when you need to turn, and then use toe brakes. In DCS the K-4 feels too lose. Even at full weight thrust is very effective and it accelerates wildly, so the use of sudden bursts of thrust to "make the rudder alive" like IRL can't really be applied easily and with the same effect they would have.
  8. In order to participate MP in the Burning Skies server do we have to have the WW2 assets pack ?
  9. In the 109 and 190, flying for several minutes with the oxugen pumps turned OFF and even canopies opened , nothing hapened.
  10. Motivated by a post at another forum I decided to try flying the WW2 modules starting at 25k, disconnected the Oxygen systems, even opened the canopies ( possible and even the Bf109 does not break the canopy inflight when I opne it :-/ … ) and there was absolutely no problem flying in that way ? I had the idea hypoxia effects were modelled ?
  11. Thank You! You made my Sunday :-) !!!!
  12. After activating CA, I was expecting QM entries, just as I have for each of the aircraft modules, putting me on a given vehicle ( tanks only I guess ? Maybe AAA too ? ), but I have none ? All I can get are missions, where I am presented with the tactical map, populated with many elements of various sorts, but, how do I get into control ?
  13. Above all it's interesting to note that among the many similar articles I've read about how this 109s were dealt with, and are still by the few who own some collection models, the use of the extravagant ATA rates we simmers tend to use all of the time in ou simulated battles is far from realistic. They used to operate, even in combat, at max 1.4, usually 1.3, limits only exceeded in absolutely necessary conditions.
  14. Ah! Ok, now I see. Thx Kappi. But I should add that among the various sims I have used with 109s, DCS is the only that naturally calls for the use of rudder, even without we having to look at the turn coordinator. It's common to the other WW2 modules, and unique to DCS. My experience with other ww2 flight simulators, even those I also like very much and keep using, is that sometimes I am using rudder when I shouldn't or more lss than I should because unless I stare at the TC, it doesn't come naturally to mind "virtual pilot mind"...
  15. Where? In the axis tuning - I already did - or do you mean by manually editing conf. files, and which one(s) / how ?
  16. Yes, my bad - it's released indeed, and the clipped wings were the "release moment" :-) Still, I find that the rudder trim could receive some fine tunning. If only I knew what to edit in order to make the adjustment steps finer ? I use an exponential curve for the rudder axis, but it's not the correct approach / solution IMO. Being able to fine tune the incremental step parameter for the rudder tab would be a better solution, I guess.
  17. Arcade it may be... but it's a LOT of fun to me, playing in Simulator mode :-)
  18. Inflight, even ay the highest speeds, adjusting rudder trim slightly has an abrupt impact in yaw. I would guess in RL adjustmens wouldn't have that outcome. Although I think rudder force modeling is still WIP, could the rudder trim steps be made softer ?
  19. I'll have to check as I do not recall if the Yak-52 has that option, like the Bf 109 K-4.
  20. It's the normal effects of the ground adjustable rudder trim tab. As dynamic pressure builds up over your rudder, it'll naturally deflect, and in this case correctly to the port side because the prop is rtatetes CCW. If you use CTRL-Enter ( or something similar I don't exactly recall … ) to display the control surfaces, you'll see that without touching your pedals the rudder will progressively turn due to that effect.
  21. Long ago there was a thread initiated by me regarding a "weird" effect I had noticed in the P51d, namely the fact that on takeoffs under strong x-wind components, during the initial stages of the takeoff run there might be need to use upwind rudder and even a bit of downwind aileron, which appeared to me as totally unplausible... There were variosu factors mentioned among which the effects of the deflected propwash / slipstream as full power is added for the start of teh takeoff run. I was convinced further along that thread where Yo-Yo himself offered his view / explanation that the effect did make sense, but the following lesson taken from an interesting Indian University site pretty much explains how sometimes the deflected propwas can actually have a negative contribuiton in Cnβ See Fig. 5.6 on page 3.
  22. I just manage to access the BS server by using direct IP : Port. Can I have a similar address for the SoW Server ?
  23. Thx a lot MAD-MM ! Will try it and report back the results. EDIT! : Confirmed using the IP : Port directly works beautifully! Thx a Bunch!!!
