  1. Seems that to see interface, SteamVR Dashboard is needed, right? I don't use Steam and couldn't get it to work.
  2. Look on my settings, I think you have to set "Virtual touch screen or tablet" in "Prefered game interface". Then from definition you will not see your hands. In that setting hands movement is transfer to the mouse. Behavior is the same as with Fingers but in my case more stable, better responsive. And yes, head movement together with mouse is the biggest issue. But despite this, I can't imagine stopping using "Rings". It gives incredible immersion in the game and works the most sensibly of anything I've tried.
  3. Since yesterday I have been using an alternative to the Fingers application. In my case, it works more stably and precisely. There is still the problem that head movement also causes the mouse cursor to move, but this is less annoying. I am using HTTC. According to author instruction I did: 1. Leap Motion drivers: Gemini v5.16.0 (October 2023) or later installed 2. You must use the multithreaded version of DCS, and remove the LeapC.dll from both the bin and bin-mt folders inside your DCS installation. Alternatively, rename them. My settings are: There is no need to keep the application open when DCS is running.
  4. @BIGNEWY, here is better description what we need. It is what I asked in another topic.
  5. Well described, I fully agree, we need that option.
  6. @BIGNEWY is it possible to add this option: to turn head movement off when using the mouse in VR? or in other words, that head movement does not move the mouse cursor.
  7. The best effect is achieved by using Leap Motion together with a ring that supports mouse clicks. Leap Motion tracks the movement of the hand, and the ring allows you to operate the buttons in the cockpit. Here is the topic:
  8. Fully agree, there should be the option to turn it off.
  9. For my understanding, what gives MipMaps?
  10. I use it all the time, fantastic mod. I really like cockpit upgrades because most of the time that's what we're looking at
  11. and Rings. If something is unclear, please write, I will try to improve or clarify.
  12. As the first instruction I prepared for additional buttons. The rings will be in a few days.
  13. I can share my source data, I mean 3D models for print, software and my experience with assembly. What you will have to do yourself is to print the models, buy parts, solder and upload the software. I'm one of those waiting for PointCTRL, but after a few days of testing Rings and Motion Leap, I'll be giving up. Rings work reasonably well. The inconvenience that I have observed so far is the frequent need to pair bluetooth. However, after pairing, the connection is stable.
  14. Time to share my execution. I used the Seeed Studio XIAO nRF52840 board with 4x tactile 6mm buttons, slider on/off switch and lipo battery 50mAh (21x8x4mm). The 6mm buttons are sufficiently perceptible under the thumb, they do not confuse when using. Rings are 3D designed and printed by me. All run on CircuitPython connected by Bluetooth. In my opinion Rings change the sense of using Leap Motion. Without Rings, I wasn't able to use the hand measure sensibly, it doesn't work with enough accuracy and sensitivity. Using the Fingers program sort of removes one of the degrees of freedom, and thanks to this sensitivity is no longer important, and the cursor positioning accuracy is sufficient. In addition, I made 6 buttons, this time on a simpler Seeed Studio XIAO SAMD21 board. They are connected via a USB cable and visible in DCS as an additional controller with 6 buttons. They can be programmed directly in the DCS, and using Modifiers greatly increases the programming possibilities. The whole thing is also programmed in CircuitPython.
  15. markbam, I really like your design, and Seeed Xiao BLE nRF52840 is more available and cheaper then Espruino. I have quite limited experience with electronics but I think I'd like to give it a try. Can you share a wiring diagram of your system? And some advices how to make it alive, I mean firmware loading.
  16. I found this photo on twitter from the author of the program "Fingers". Unfortunately, quite old because from the end of 2020. I think the author had this ring in mind. Looks fantastic. The question is whether the project is still alive. My idea would be to use Motion Loop just like PointCTRL.
  17. Do you think guys will be possible to match some how this kind of ring: Link as mouse buttons?
  18. Dears, I have a problem starting my kit. Before running the script throttle and joystick work fine (although sometimes I have to unplug the joystick from the USB port and plug it back in). But after running a script, the joystick stops responding. Neither axes nor any buttons work. Throttle is ok. What I've already tried: - USB plug change - reinstallation of drivers - reinstalling TARGET (I'm on the version 3.0.21.910) I have an F/A-18 stick mounted but it does not matter because with the standard behavior it is exactly the same. Do you have suggestions what else can I do?
  19. Can I please mirror link to OpenComposite Launcher. I have not been lucky enough to download this file for two days
  20. Any chance for update to be working with OpenXR: https://forum.dcs.world/topic/295123-update-14-v063-openxr-quickstart-guide-for-g2-g1-and-other-headsets/
  21. In that configuration, Cougar axis are not responding but buttons yes.
  22. I mounted a stick on Cougar base and the problem is gone. It seems the Cougar base without a joystick is causing this problem.
