  1. Or just downgrade to 1.5.4 and play with the other kids who've rolled back until ED fixes it.
  2. I don't think there will be that many gunners. I expect a side-door gunner and a rear gunner. That's about it if you ask me.
  3. Hi Ciribob, I have a question. I'd like to know if the HAWK SAM site is spawned as a group or if it is spawned as a seperate " groups" of single vehicles? The reason for asking is that I'd like to use the CTLD script to "resupply" a FARP. I found that when the group of vehicles that is already spawned at mission start, moves to the FARP and stops, the FARP is "activated" by which I mean you can refuel and rearm as well as the lights turn on. Now, with the CTLD script I can designate a cargo drop zone and from there, switch a flag to use MIST to teleport the vehicles in the FARP vicinity. What I need to try is to see if a spawned group of vehicles (M978, M818 and M1025) will allow a FARP to be "activated". If so, would it be possible to add a function to the CTLD script to spawn said vehicle group in order to resupply a FARP? With the MIST teleport function and the count crates in zone from CTLD I was able to teleport the FARP vehicles to the FARP by dropping cargo in a zone. After that, I was able to refuel and rearm at the FARP where previously, I was unable to do so.
  4. The manual states that any collective increase or decrease outside of 2 or 3 degrees per second should be avoided. It's the way the transmission and gearbox work. Couple that to the fact that the engines, indeed, are slow to spool-up when you request power and yo will end up with a situation where you can't get the energy to need to get out of your situation. The solution is very simple, plan ahead. If you're dating a girl and do a Trump move, expect to get slapped. But if you take it nice and easy, wine and dine, you're golden! Same goes for the Mi-8, she's a lady that wants to be treated well, don't yank her chain or she'll slap you silly. Make your movements gentle and smooth and she'll treat you well.
  5. Please post the mission file.
  6. If you hit a helicopter with a HEAT round in CA now, it'll go down in flames. What good would this round do when compared to what's ingame now? The damage model of CA is simplistic anyway, there is no splash- or penetration damage.
  7. No worries, the whole community will be ready to point out any things we may find in the manual..
  8. The only thing that would simulate this to a certain degree is the use of a radar station with LOTATC and UR/SRS to talk to the operators of human controlled sam units to activate their radar and engage the target. Still not as it can be, but it gives the aircraft a little less warning although an SA-8 still needs a full 30 seconds to lock :X
  9. Put a C-130 on the map and select condition 0%, it should create a wreck, does this help?
  10. Like Ariesradio and UR you mean?
  11. Bank a little bit?
  12. So, we have the Friis equation: An signal to noise I am by no means a mathematician, but looking at both formulaes, I'd say that both carry the power of the signal in one way or the other. Perhaps we can work out a SNR that incorporates more nose to the signal the further away you are?
  13. Anti collision before APU/Engine start-up Navigation lights, anti-coll, blade tip and taxi light when taxiing Nav light and anti coll light when flying to the operation area. When "Fence in" is called, turn off all lights except formation lights if needed. When "Fence out" is called, normal flight lights without formation lights When landing, Landing light, nav lightd and anti coll light.
  14. Ciribob and GGTharos, are you guys looking for a Signal to Noise ratio formulae or something? The larger distance between radios get, the lower the signal to noise ratio becomes, e.g. the normal static will be heard more profound as distance increases and approaches receiver sensitivity. Even in LOS conditions, there comes a moment where the radiowaves from the transmitter do not come above the noise ceiling in the receiver. It'll receive just fine but is unable to get the signal from out of the white noise. This means the human is hearing static only as the receiver is sensitive enough to notice the signal, you can't make heads or tails of it. Does it make sense or even help?
  15. You mean Single Player of Multiplayer?
  16. As far as I can tell, all vehicles must be in one group in order for the FARP to work.
  17. When the service tank runs out, you're engines will cut-out if the feeder pumps are off.
  18. Indeed it does, I'm practically drooling here :D Anyway, if you need a testbed for the ATC radio please let me know, we routinely run with more then 3 radios and would love to get our hands on this nice piece of software.
  19. Eagerly awaiting the ATC radios and radios for JTAC/GFC.....
  20. Seeing some developers of apps burn out becasue of the workload, are you sure you're taking enough time off this project to recharge your own batteries Ciribob? No criticism here, just a concern. I'd hate to see you burn up as we saw some other great projects come to a grinding halt.
  21. How does one select an airport to perform an ATC role or an AWACS to perform Air-to-air controlling in Simpleradio Standalone? I watched the video but can't see how this is handled. For a JTAC, once he/she hops into a vehicle, it's location is known so that's not all that different from an aircraft. For a tactical commander or a LOTATC user, how is this handled?
  22. Hmm, shame, the russian webshop invoicing system doesn't accept Dutch creditcards for some reasons...
  23. What kind of sensors/rotaries do you use?
  24. The SW radio on the KA50 is an HF set that runs up to 20MHz I believe, similar to the Yadro radio on the Mi-8.
  25. Doesn't Ciribob his alternative CSAR script do the same? It's on this part of the forum. When a unit ejects, his script spawns a soldier on the ground at the moment of ejection. Might be worthwhile to check his script.
