A bullseye call will look something like this: "Target X is at bullseye 315 for 14" What this means is that target X is located 315 FROM bullseye, range 14 nautical mile (usually, I don't know if this scales with setting in DCS for metric/imperial). I don't know if bullseye is in the Abris but don't think so. You can use the F10 map and look at the bullseye, from there, use the draw tool to move north-west (315 is the direction in degrees) and fourteen miles. That is the position of the target, you may want to note them down, the coordinates should be in the top-left part of the screen. Us e left ALT Y to toggle between lat/long, decimal, MGRS and X/Y grid, use decimal for correct PVI-800 coords. If you want to fly directly to your target, on the PVI-800 press: PVI master Mode -> EDIT Select PVI NAV TGT Select target point number Enter coords in decimal, press 0 before coords for north/east press ENTER PVI Master Mode -> OPER Next, press NAV TGT and the nmber you saved the coords to and follow the HUD directions to your target. Use the T_HEAD - Time/dis to view true heading, distance and time to the target point.

Congrats! Looking forward to the public release!

The biggest issue here is dynamic weather in MP. There's no way of telling QNH and wind for CA units used as JTAC or controller.
-
It's not a bug, its a feature. When the shkval is uncaged the first time, it'll respond to your inputs and stay where you point it. Once you uncage it again, it'll begin scanning on its own using the setting you set it to on your right hand panel, below the PVI-800 and above the signal flare column I believe.

Try using at least three AP channels, bank, pitch and heading and when you have the aircraft trimmed, press and hold the trimmer, get into the new state you want the aircraft to be in and release the trimmer and reset your cyclic stick. As previously mentioned, use CRTL-ENTER to see where your virtual joystick is located.
-
Can you tell us how you trim the black shark? Do you press and hold the trimmer while maneuvering or do you click the trimmer button once in the new position?
-
Try changing the frequency on one or all the radios, also, switch off intercom and on again, if the C101 has that. The KA50 sometimes suffers from the same, hence this solution.

That or switch the thumbwheels to another freq, that worked for me..

Is the flight director set to route mode?

My Russian sucks, is there a translation somewhere?

- The ability to control runway lighting so that it can be activated during fog or heavy weather. - The ability to see the dynamic weahter parameters on a given location on the map like QNH and wind. This is needed when human controllers and JTAC's are at work
-
AS my wing is using a lot of human controllers and JTACs hereare my questions: - Will 2.0 have any information regarding wind and QNH on locations throughout the world and the airports? Presently, when using dynamic weather, it is neigh impossible to give correct wind and QNH indications to departing and arriving flights. - Will human controllers have the possibility to "control" certain airport aspects like runway lighting in a foggy enviroment and such?
-
Any news on current developments Towsim?

What is the guidance of the hellfires? mm wave radio or laser? Does it use the vihkr guidance and is it only the skin of the hellfire that is used or is it the complete weapon system?

need help, press \ can not communicate in the air
Looney replied to bin801's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Did you set the switch to VHF-2 (or 1) from the Ground position and are all your comms switches set to the upper position (left-front panel)? -
Does LOTATC weather info note the wind's direction to where it's blowing TO or where it's blowing FROM?
-
Well, at least it gives me more time to upgrade my ageing HD5770 for something more modern so I can run EDGE within reasonable FPS limits :)

AFAIK, using Aries on a server with other users in your channel that don't use Aries will result in you not hearing them but they will hear you. In essence, you can't have two way communication that way. Since Aries is all client based with no server thing installed, the TS3 - DCS coupling is done via the DLL file where the frequency, position, altitude and such are transmitted to the TS3 client which, in turn, communicates this data to other clients. As long as the other clients are not using Aries, their TS3 clients ignores the extra data and simply make your voice heard, without modifying it. If they do use Aries but do not meet frequency, distance or terrain masking, they may or may not hear you and will be able to communicate with you. That said, I think Aries has its place in groups of pilots that want an extra immersion factor. For public servers without this additional immersion, I don't think Aries will give you what you might expect of it.

Make sure to keep the fire button pressed until the weapon is launched.

We have a website, http://www.132virtualwing.org, have a look around. Also, our youtube channel shows basic comms 101 as well as two earlier missions the pilots and controllers did. You can view POW rescue and Saved by a dragon. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqwGk59cnEPIaeUYGoxqnmA We use LOTATC http://lotatc.dartsite.org/ as a radar client to guide aircrafts to their targets, call out bogeys and bandits, make sure traffic is seperated correctly and so on. This, coupled with Aries Wing radio system and Gossipbox allows the controllers to perform several duties at once or coordinate between each other. Gossipbox allows up to 10 frequencies to be monitored. See http://www.ariescon.com for more info. The JTAC usually positions itself on a hilltop overlooking the target area and begins to make a battle plan, following official JTAC procedure (Air request, Check-in, Situation update, 9-line, BDA) and can/will work together with other JTACS, STARS, FAC(A)'s, fixed wing and rotary wing assets. The JTAC can be stationary (usually) but we've also done a UH1 with an airborne JTAC trying to locate targets in an urban enviroment.

We don't manage a public server, but the 132nd virtual wing uses controllers for ground, tower, approach/departure and AWACS during training and missions. The controllers within 132nd are also capable of providing human JTACs and also trains extensively both internal and with external virtual squadrons and groups.

All we need now is a pacific theatre and voila, we can replay "The final Countdown" and LNS shoves all the planes out :P.
-
Or join a MP server with human controllers, they'll point you to a spot to take as well as havinh the option to liven up the airport with CA vehicles.
-
It was disabled yesterday evening as I pressed buttan :P. Also off were terrain and the other one..

I use a netgear router as well and almost have the same screen as in your screenshot. Service user should hold the IP adress of the server machine for the forwarding to work properly. If you use DHCP, you'll need to recheck the port fowarding from time to time as the IP adress of the server may change when the lease ends.
