  1. Woops, my bad, sorry. The new manual details setting the PU 26 as well by the way.
  2. Or download the manual and read through chapter 6.2.5 Basically, flip one of the switches to see 101 instead of 192 or 96. First digit: number of flares launched second digit: Times the salvo is fired third digit: interval between flare launched
  3. And make sure you have the pitch/roll dampening channel activated.
  4. https://flightsimcontrols.com/store/joysticks/defender-cobra-m5-joystick-revb/ It's a joystick without centering springs so when you tap the trimmer button and leave the joystick alone, the position of the ingame cyclic and your joystick match.
  5. Just digging up an old thread to say congratulations on a job very well done. You've deserved your rightful place in the high-fidelity simulation market with the Mi-8! Thank you!
  6. Congratulations to Belsimtek on a simulator very well made. You've given us a tool to use in the DCS community, one with outstanding quality and modelling. I take my hat of for you sirs/madams, as well as taking a very, very deep bow.
  7. Congratulations!!! Still at work but boy do I want to give the Mi-8 some love tonight :P
  8. Great! Can we have babies together now?
  9. Nice! Looking forward to the mod!
  10. Does the SA342 use the Medusa code for calculations as per Fragger''s post or it not installed in the SA342 code but only in the BOH105?
  11. Gun camera for Mi-8 confirmed: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2969711&postcount=13
  12. Like so? The russian part of the forum is a gold mine for information, and with google translate you can go a long way..
  13. They're coming....
  14. Anti-satellite missiles confirmed :)
  15. I'll check if a dropzone will allow the group to unload their troops. It should as I did a mission with a couple of BTR's (as signle vehicles mind you!) drove over a pickup zone and later a dropzone which worked as intended. I'll also try a singular vehicle as transport 10 and see if that makes a difference. Will post full logs when I'm done.
  16. That is working as intended as far as I know. A lot of units cannot be driven by the player as in, get behind the wheel or in the turrent and move it from there but as they are still ground units, they can be commanded around the F10 map using the F10 map controls. The SA-11 is greyed out for player can drive because it's not possible as it is not modelled to allow a player to drive the unit. It can be that it's part of a group of vehicles where the first one is or was a unit that was player driveable, if that is the case, all vehicles inherit this option but for those vehicles that the option is not allowed, player can drive shows a check sign but is greyed out, meaning you cannot drive it.
  17. Hmm, I tried using the ctld.unloadTransport("transport1") script via a radio menu trigger. I basically copied the trigger from the activation of an AI flight which does work. I have my transport 10, 11, 12 and 13 in one group and I move them (F10 map) through a pickup zone and get the messages that they have, one by one, picked up troops. I let them drive outside of the pickupzone (which is hidden) and then select the radio menu command to force the transport to unload troops but nothing happens. I've checked whether or not troops were onboard and CTLD states the truck, when I man it, has 10 troops onboard. Trying to unload troops using the CTLD menu doesn't result in troops being deployed. This is all on my own PC running the multiplayer version of the mission. Will investigate further, but if I'm doing something completely wrong, now would be a good time to tell :P Got this error message in the log 00662.929 ERROR DCS: Mission script error: : [string "C:\Users\XXXXXX\AppData\Local\Temp\DCS\/~mis000077C2"]:767: Can't update mission database stack traceback: [C]: ? 18. Hi FC, I'm looking more into the behaviour of the visual detection parameters of the IR SAM units like the Strela, Stinger and Igla. The script in my previous post defines certain parameters as well as some probabiliy guestimation as to when an aircraft will be detected. I have no idea if that script will work in 1.5.5 but I'll certainly try. I'm just curious to know if MOOSE has anything similar.
  19. I've searched the forum but came up empty handed. can you use the R-863 radio to drive the HSI needle to show the direction to a VOR beacon? E.g. I'm on Tblisi Lochini and the VOR beacon there is 113.700 which I can tune into with the R-863. I can hear a constant tone on that frequency and the morse code for UGTB (TBL). How can I set this to the HSI needle, if at all possible? Does anyone know?
  20. Up to what point can the Detection function be changed to reflect a more realistic detection profile for IR SAMs? Like in the detection script from MBot: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=117424&highlight=detection BTW good to see you back in the saddle FC!
  21. Is it possible to suppress the test messages showing you've loaded troops and especially the location of a dropped radio beacon? It takes all the fun away from actually finding it :).
  22. I've never had a cable snap with slingloading, sure I've had some cargo damaged but never a cable snap. Speed is the key factor here I think. Always approach the cargo while flying into the wind, use the smoke from them arker to judge wind if nyou need to. I use the cargo indicator to get above the cargo. You can use the heading autopilot so you have one axis less to think about, that's personal preference.
  23. Have you looked into MOOSE?
  24. BadCRC, can you post the mission file? I'll give it a go in 1.5.4
  25. Splendid news! Really looking forward to their implementation! Do you have a timeframe? (sorry, had to ask :) )
