  1. I can confirm the analog axis is causing issues with auto hover. I am using a CH Throttle Quad for the rotor brake and fuel lever.
  2. A CH user on reddit (Pure_Awesomeness) wrote a CMS script that averages the input from an analog axis and sends a jitter free signal to games. Reddit Thread CMS Files and instructions https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0Bxolnix8ukgRb1IyLVU3eGFTSXc I tested the code with both my Pro Throttle and Throttle Quadrant, and it cleans up the jitter. Using the script I no longer see the controls "jiggle" in the cockpit and I can fine tune the percentages when changing pitch, rad, oil, mixture, etc in IL2:BoS.
  3. I am interested in anything MiG-21 related.
  4. +1 Thanks!!!! I am working on the MiG-15 campaign, and it is really drawing me in.

    Thanks

+1 The Mirage is an amazing module and a delight to fly. The rapid development and frequency of updates make it feel like getting a new DCS plane again and again as systems get fleshed out and roles/capabilities are expanded.
  6. I got my set of MKIVs last night to replace my CH Pro pedals. (I posted a review on reddit if you are interested. ( ) I had the same concern as you with regards to how the pedals move. When using them your heels are planted on the floor, and the motion feels like you are pressing forward with the ball of your foot more than up and down. It isn't the same as extending and retracting your legs like with the CH pedals, but it isn't an up and down stomping motion either. I sit in an office chair, and I barely noticed the change in motion after more than 10 years using CH pedals. It looks like it would be pretty easy to mount the VKB pedals at an angle and adjust/extend the control rods to create a more realistic motion for your legs. I don't feel the need to go that route myself, but I don't think it would be very hard to tweak things to your liking. Just my .02$
  7. Are you referring to being able to spot flying objects on the MP servers running MiG-21 vs F-5E long before the radar sees them? I think the issue might be the model enlargement setting on some MP servers. I believe it allows you spot planes at greater range than the radar can pick up.
  8. +1 Multiple servers and multiple modules.
  9. FYI free upgrade expires 7/29
  10. Thanks for the pointers. I will check my control mappings. I am using the Defender Cobra M5 stick, and I have no plans to dig up a FFB stick. I also recently acquired the Jetseat, and I will give the module another try with more "seat of the pants" feedback. Thanks all.
  11. Got my Jet Seat the the other day. Thanks Andre!!!! Works as advertised. Just my luck to finally order it the same week the IC messes everything up.
  12. Sounds more like a flat (or rolling) scissors using the P-47s roll rate advantage to prevent the Spit from saddling up. Since it was a game/exercise the "winner" would need to have a solid tracking shot. In a real engagement the Spit could potentially land some snap shots as the P-47 counter rolled and crossed his nose. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Scissors
  13. My main module is the MiG-21bis, but I have recently spent a lot of time in the M2000-c and the L-39. I also jump into the Korean era jets and the WWII fighters when the mood hits me (I own almost all the modules) Too much good stuff.
  14. Order placed. Thanks for all the hard work and great support =Andre=!
  15. Twist rudder vs pedals is like Coke vs Pepsi. Both are great options, but people will always argue over which is better.
  16. P-47 F/A-18C F-14A/B A-6E A-7E
  17. I think it is a bogus review that is being used to get click-through traffic to Amazon.
  18. I have both the L-39 and the F-86. Both are a dream to fly. The L-39 feels more complete, and if I had to pick I would rate it as the better flying plane, but that is just my opinion. The L-39 lacks a campaign, and unless you roll your own missions there isn't much to do with it other than teach yourself the systems (weapons, nav, etc.) and joyride offline or on the aerobatics server. The F-86 gives you more to do in the game (more user created missions to download, fighting MiG-15s off and online, etc.) and as you noted a new campaign coming soon. The F-86 also uses similar navigation techniques to the L-39, so you can learn to navigate in either bird. If I could only have one, I would get the F-86 over the L-39, but it would be a very close call. And just to throw a wrench at you, have you considered the MiG-21Bis? I was never interested in the MiG-21, but I bought it based on the stellar reviews, and it is my favorite module by far. Just as analog as the L-39 and F-86,, but supersonic, and capable of carrying more modern air and ground weapons.
  19. I have a similar issue. The F-86 is a dream to fly, but the MiG-15 suffers accelerated stalls, and all rudder inputs result in instability and excessive roll using the same axis settings at the F-86. Regardless of altitude and speed I spend more time fighting to keep the MiG under control than any other plane in DCS (and I have all of them except the trainers).
  20. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northrop_F-20_Tigershark "Of the components of the F-20, the radar would end up being the most successful; Taiwan selected it for the Ching-kuo, South Korea also adopted it for the KAI T-50 Golden Eagle trainer aircraft, and the radar was used in the multinational FMA IA 63 Pampa." There might be enough info available to model the radar since it was used in other aircraft internationally.
  21. Thanks for the info! I can't wait to get my hands on the Gladiator Pro. :)
  22. Has anyone successfully used a CH Fighterstick grip? I just pre-ordered a Gladiator Pro, and I would like more buttons/hats while i wait for more grips from VKB to become available. Thanks!
  23. I echo the thanks. There is something really special about the module. It is so satisfying doing the simplest things, and I have yet to master any of the systems. Sent from my SM-N915T using Tapatalk
