  1. I have all the confidence in the world that HB will deliver. Thanks for the update!

  3. In the modifier box in DCS.... Left Window (Shift)- "Shift while button is held" Right Window (Mode) - "Shift state on until pressed again"
  4. The Vodka Rocket is still a player favorite for many people. It is flown regularly and effectively on multiplayer servers. The party is still raging comrade!
  5. The white plastic sandwiches between the casing and the circuit board to provide friction and to create a detent. It's like the bearing cap on a cars crankshaft. The circuit board keeps the pots in place, and is the main anchor point for spacing. I am sure your sensors could be used, but it would require 3D printing a custom mounting solution to replace the original pot/board combo.
  6. That is a really good quote! Cheers
  7. I took my CH Throttle Quadrant apart. Pots are soldered to a circuit board that is used to mount them. I don't think a simple swap replacement is possible
  8. The asset pack is an issue to be sure, but the real barriers to growth are... * Spotting - Dot labels have really helped in MP, but it really is a game engine issue that needs to be addressed for VR and higher resolution monitors. * Damage models - The update to the damage models cannot come soon enough. The current lack of depth and granularity really diminishes the experience. In my opinion we won't see growth in the WWII and Korean era scenarios until these issues are addressed.
  9. It isn't perfect, but it is a hell of a lot of fun to toss around. I also like the Yak-52. So I guess I am the perfect audience for this type of module. DCS is a great looking game, and it really shines when you are low and slow just enjoying the ride.
  10. Great crew! Always fun and challenging to fly with and against. Flyp used to turn circles around me in a Ki43 if my memory isn't faulty :)
  11. Ah Warbirds....sweet memories... (formally val- of the "Dweebs of Death" and a Green/Gold alt-monkey)
  12. Nine-Line mentioned in the 109 forum that they found a bug with warbird cooling systems. That is likely what is going on.
  13. A better HOTAS will help if it lightens your workload (more hats/buttons like you mentioned), and is more precise. For the price you would see a pretty big improvement with the Thrustmaster T16000M FCS HOTAS. It uses the same (or similar) sensors to the Warthog. I have both the Warthog and the X56, and prefer the WH. I won't claim that either makes me a better pilot, but if your budget allows the WH is hard to beat. Virpil and VKB are better, but you will pay more, and often have to wait as they are built in limited numbers and sellout fast.
  14. Monetization in games is perhaps the biggest issue in the industry today. Monthly subscription models are no longer the norm, and one time purchases are not sustainable. For example there is no revenue stream to fund development for existing/aging DCS modules. It’s easy to hate on lack of development over time, but new sales are what keeps ED and their parties in business. I am no fan of micro transactions, but the revenue stream is undeniable. I would be willing to pay a subscription fee for dedicated dynamic MP servers and content. Paying for a content that is not static and adds value to my time invested is palatable. 15. How are you going to get DCS to send video data to two different display outputs? That is where your theory hits a wall. To explain it more simply... You are wanting to attach a second TV to your cable box, but it is designed to only send the picture out to a single TV at a time. You can add a splitter (SLI or attach additional monitors to a single card), but you can't change the way the cable box works...In this example the cable box is DCS.
  16. Licensing SRS (or similar) as an add-on module with tighter integration and additional functionality (voice activated macros) for in-game GCI/ATC would be fantastic. Players would then have the option to continue to use 3rd party voice options, and ED could recoup development time/costs selling it as an add-on module like the NS430 for players that want it built-in.
  17. To do what you want wouldn't DCS have to have two separate and distinct draw call outputs? (one for each video card) Also your CPU would have to do twice the work since there is a direct link to the CPU and GPU workloads.
  18. I was just thinking this over the weekend flying Warbirds in MP. Looking down from 3-4k meters other fighters at treetop level looked like the scale of birds compared to the trees.
  19. 1. Pick one plane/helo and stick with it (watch videos, read the sections of the manuals as needed and grab "Chuck's Guide" to get started) - https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=135765 2. Map the same functions to each button on your X52 for each plane/helo you fly as you go along. You will be able to use the same buttons for 90% of the key bindings across all DCS planes/helos. Over time your muscle memory will kick in and you won't have to think about what you are pressing when you go to do something. 3. DCS comes with the TF-51, so if you are interested in a fully clickable warbird, you already have one. 4. While more complex, many people find the fully clickable modules to be easier to learn, because you do not have to memorize keyboard commands and button presses for every function. 4a. FC3 planes use common keyboard/button functions so once you learn one you have most functions covered in all. 5. Have fun and welcome!!!
  20. I have had my Derek Spears button box for years. Worth every penny if you are not a DIY type of person.
  21. I own and fly all the modules. My HOTAS is setup so that they are all @90% the same across the board. If the question is how effective are you.....I am terrible in each and every one. :)
  22. Tacview is not an issue. It runs with a 10 min delay (you will get a message stating this in the chat window) to prevent cheating with real time telemetry.
  23. I did the mod and love the results. Did you install the lenses upside down? (larger more spherical side up?)
