  1. SP almost exclusively, but as others have said, this topic has been beaten to death and ED has confirmed the results. So what is the point of bringing it up yet again?
  2. I have this one...for similar reasons.
  3. Do the math. Nothing that does what you want is going to be inexpensive. What is your budget?

Got to love it when Subs can't even keep his own stories consistent.

That is certainly the most arrogant statement that you have made. Stephen Hawking, for example, was many things but wrong was rarely one of them.
  6. This is why taking notes in school works so well. If you write it down, or type it down, it seems to imprint on the brain in a better way than just reading or listening will accomplish. When I was studying for my MSCE, many years ago, I had six books that were each about the size of the A-10C manual. If I hadn't written my own, condensed, version of the books I probably would never have passed the tests.

Damn. All this time I was blaming gravity for the titanium plate and ten screws that now hold my wrist together. On the plus side I can predict the weather and have a really cool Xray image.

Yep. When I tripped and fell down the stairs it was just happenstance that I fell down the stairs.
  9. I assume that was aimed at Skouras since I certainly did nothing that would qualify. I rarely discuss anything about those that I have given stuff to. However, I am quite pleased with myself for recently providing a set of pedals (used), a motherboard, CPU, memory and a nice after market cooler (all new in the box) to a young Marine aviation student.
  10. The same offer is available here if you ever end up traveling to my area. I am about 25 miles from Washington D.C. which really is an amazing place to visit. EDIT: I should add that you will need to be able to tolerate overly affectionate dogs.

I know he is trolling and I figure I am probably trolling him by responding. There is a reason why he has been suspended from SimHQ, and they are very tolerant over there.
  12. I might just have to take you up on that offer one of these days. Round trip to Athens is less than a $1000. I will certainly have to learn to speak some Greek first, out of respect. Your offer is way too kind though considering that I all I gave you was a USB header and it cost around $25 to ship it.

Now you are just being silly. Stick with ancient monuments where there is not photographic evidence of how and when they were built.
  14. Nah. Just a guy who has been both poor and homeless and managed to recover from both. There was a time, many years ago, when I had $50, a laptop, some clothes and no place to live. I now own my own house (well my dogs think it is their house but let me live there since I bring home food and treats) and have a lot more than $50 and a perspective that causes me to be more than willing to give to those who have less than I do. Investing money is beneficial financially. Investing in the benefit of others is beneficial in ways that cannot be measured.

Ok, maybe not good fiction but entertaining fiction. I haven't seen good fiction since the last Steven King (11.22.63 blew me away), or perhaps Isaac Asimov, Arthur C. Clarke or Robert Heinlein.

Xenu doesn't understand that Subs knows 'things'.
  17. Good on you. IIRC, you were the recipient of the furthest I have ever shipped something. It was a cheap item but it was still the first time I shipped anything that far. EDIT: The folks at UPS think I am insane, I suspect.
  18. @Tinkickef I find this thread, and yourself, to be totally awesome. I have given away several thousand dollars in hardware over the years. Some of it brand new. I truly appreciate the fact that you would rather give it away than try to make a profit from it.
