  1. Definitely not. Probably not without editing the terrain itself, which would, most likely, require the non-public tools used to create it.
  2. Agreed. The Bodnar board will provide the simplest solution.
  3. My point is that the performance you have now is far more likely to degrade than to improve in the next few years.
  4. Fixed that for you.
  5. True, but who flies in that position has nothing to do with which person is left hand dominant. It is far more likely, from a statistical perspective, that the person flying left handed is right hand dominant. So the norm is to learn to fly with your non-dominant hand when the situation arises.
  6. For DCS, at least, I would not count on getting by with only 8GB of RAM for the next two years. If your video card has less than 8GB of VRAM, I wouldn't count on that either.
  7. A repair won't fix it since those settings are stored under your Saved Games folder. You can either edit, rename or delete the file Saved Games\DCS.*version*\Config\Options.lua to fix it. The *version* is appended to DCS if you are running the openbeta or openalpha versions. Otherwise the folder will just be DCS. Deleting the file will reset all of your game settings, but if you don't know what you changed it is the easiest option.
  8. If you try to use the slew without significant curves, to reduce the sensitivity, then it does suck. However, with proper curves it works quite well. Look at the default curves for the A-10C.
  9. FYI, there are many threads about this. Personally, I don't see it ever happening because there are already good external solutions and it would be a lot of work for a feature that is only of value to the small MP community.
  10. ^^^This. I agree 100%. There is a good chance of that PSU causing further casualties in the very near future.
  11. That is correct. Considering that ED employs people who are native English speakers, one would think that information intended for distribution in English would be worded better.
  12. That's mighty nice. If it were me, I would be expecting a return shipping label immediately.
  13. Somewhere a dead horse is screaming.
  14. I think the important question here, which I should have asked initially, is 'What is the reason that the OP needs to have the controller recognized as being combined?". There is no reason to do this for DCS but there are other games that might only recognize a single controller.
  15. With one hand on the stick and one on the throttle, which hands do you plan on using to hold the touch controllers?
  16. I would not expect it. The airfields have been equally desolate for many, many years with no indication of a change. Considering that more players will be taking off, and landing, on land based airfields instead of aircraft carriers, it would make sense to populate the airfields first.
  17. How much did your 3d printer cost?
  18. I hate to say, read the manual, but it really is the best place to start. There are two ways to create a profile. The GUI editor and Script editor. The GUI is easier (unless you have a programming background) but the Script editor is not really that difficult, for basic stuff, and it is more powerful. There are plenty of people, around here, that know Target very well. So when/if you have questions, just ask.
  19. You have to use TM's Target software.
  20. They are little boxes, containing descriptive text, that appear when the cursor hovers over a knob or switch.
  21. The file that controls that is not inside the game folder but is in Saved Games (which is not affected by a reinstall of the sim). Delete, edit or rename, Saved Games\DCS.*version*\Config\Options.lua.
  22. I have never done it but yes, it can.
  23. That is fine. I have some USB hub and power distribution issues to address anyway.
  24. I have seen a few slow ones, but they are rare for me. I frequently see speeds rivaling Steam.
  25. Just as Len62 said, 'it can be a bit tricky to get it setup'. TIR is literally plug-n-play. The default curves are acceptable for most people.
